Cosmology
Structure
The True Immortal Realm is identified as the lowest of the Thirty-Three Immortal Realms and lies near the Dao Sea. Its territory is already countless times larger than the ancient Taiyi Great World. 1837
- It possesses ninety thousand layers of heaven, each containing distinct Dao Principles. 1676
- Above the heavens lies an infinite sea of star rivers and the Thirty-Three Immortal Realms of Heaven's Borderland. 1676
- A boundless Dao Sea divides the Immortal Realm's firmament from Heaven's Borderland; its former form was the Primordial Chaos River. 1676
- Beneath the surface are ninety-nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine underground worlds, each a separate realm with its own mysteries of creation. 1676
- The uppermost land alone spans trillions upon trillions of miles, while lower strata contain immortal veins as thick as star rivers. 1676
- Innate Divine Mountains can reach hundreds of millions of miles in height, with Dao patterns flowing across their peaks. 1676
Major Regions
| Region | Description |
|---|---|
| Three Thousand Immortal Territories | Connected by immortal bridges and richer in immortal qi than surrounding regions. 1676 |
| Immortal Soil Beyond the Domains | A recently formed, primitive land still settling after its creation; it is separated from the Three Thousand Immortal Territories by the Void Sea of Time. 1676 1677 |
| Heaven's Borderland | The region beyond the Dao Sea, containing the Thirty-Three Immortal Realms and numerous dormant Innate Dao Embryos. 1676 |
| Observable Territory | The known lands of the Immortal Realm, whose boundaries remain unknown even after centuries of investigation. New races and immortal plants emerge too rapidly to record completely. 1978 |
Inhabitants and Cultivation
Innate Lifeforms
The Immortal Realm's early native beings were Innate Lifeforms with exceptionally powerful root bones, but they lacked established Immortal Dao methods. During the first ten thousand years of the Heaven-Opening Era, many died through Qi Deviation or failed experimentation before surviving groups formed tribes, sects, races, and factions. 1755
Unlike the cultivators of the Three Thousand Great Worlds, early native races did not share a single inherited Spirit Qi Immortal Path. They cultivated visible Heaven and Earth Rules—wind, rain, thunder, lightning, mountains, vegetation, and stars—forming distinct paths according to their own natures. 1711
The Thirty-Three Immortal Realms also nurture Innate Dao Embryos. These beings originated as Heaven-and-Earth strange spirits of the former Three Thousand Great Worlds and became free after the Heavenly Dao Will passed away. 1676
Lifespan and Immortal Qi
Immortal Spirit Qi greatly increases the lifespans of living beings and immortals. In the Five Elements Immortal Domain, ordinary mortals and spirits can commonly live two to three hundred years. 1699
Across the Immortal Realm, cultivation-realm lifespans are likewise greatly extended: Foundation Establishment cultivators can approach a thousand years, while Tribulation Transcendence cultivators may live for fifty thousand years. 2013
Ascension
The Ascension Passage connects lower realms to the Immortal Realm. Contrary to rumors, ascenders do not need to fight one another for access: once a cultivator reaches the required realm, an ascension immortal tribulation naturally descends. 1679
This tribulation comes from the ascender's Realm Source, not the Immortal Realm itself. The Realm Source attempts to prevent its realm's beings from transcending and departing. 1679
- Xiao Sheng became the first documented ascender after the passage opened, reaching the Immortal Realm through the passage at the edge of Jade Bamboo Continent. 1680
- The Ascension Passage was later moved to accommodate reclamation and mining while giving ascenders time to understand their new surroundings. 1725
- Even in later ages, the passage remains an undying coordinate linking the Immortal Realm to the lower realms and future changes in Heaven and Earth. 2139
True Immortals
A True Immortal stands at the summit of a specific Dao. Only one True Immortal can occupy a single Dao at a time; as long as one remains, that Dao will not perish. This limitation also serves as a form of self-protection for the Immortal Realm's rules. 2357
The appearance of True Immortals changes the realm's balance of power. Their emergence can transform Heaven and Earth, shower creation upon living beings, and make their chosen Dao inaccessible to competing cultivators. 2347 2363

Great Dao Ranking
The Great Dao Ranking was created from the origins of Heaven Dao Transmission's myriad paths. Its stated purpose is to help beings identify an Immortal Dao suited to their innate talents, preventing them from wasting their gifts or dying through aimless cultivation. 2209
Its establishment remains politically contentious.
- The ranking is also described as a power struggle intended to suppress older generations and Eternal Beings while controlling the fortune of all races. 2217
- The Five Elements Sect vetoes the creation of a cultivation hierarchy through the ranking, leading to a standoff with the Immortal Realm's Sages. 2217
- When immortals formally seal the ranking, ancient hegemon clans attack at the Myriad Races Bridge, turning the site into a vast war domain. 2218 2219
