Background / History

Chen Xun began as a mortal in a small village alongside Big Black Ox. After receiving a system that granted Longevity Points, he immediately invested in strength, injuring himself with his first uncontrolled punch before recovering and sharing a point with the ox. The two initially supported themselves through farming and a succession of village trades, including funerals and musical performances. Chen Xun’s refusal to visibly age gradually made the villagers wary of him. 1 3

His first attempts at formal work were equally practical. He became Sun Kaile’s blacksmith apprentice, eventually revitalizing the old man’s failing shop through his strength and craftsmanship. Afterward, he studied medicine under Doctor Ning, spending years learning medicinal herbs, pharmacology, diagnosis, and treatment before becoming the physician’s third disciple. 7 11

When cultivators first descended upon his village, Chen Xun was found to possess Five Elements Mixed Spirit Roots but was rejected as unsuitable for cultivation due to his supposedly weak will.
