When Nan Feng arrived at the Star Dou Great Forest from the Far North, Bi Ji had already been waiting by the Dark Lake for three days.

She wasn't bored while waiting. The array left behind by the Abyss Sect at the bottom of the dark lake was still spinning.

The person refining the souls had fled, and the formation was left unmaintained, causing its rotation speed to slow down considerably. However, the remaining Soul Power patterns were still functioning, and every now and then a wisp of grayish-black turbid air would rise from the bottom of the lake.

Every day, Bi Ji would guard against the rising turbid energy, using the primordial power of the Emerald Swan to suppress it. After three days of this, she was filled with rage.

When Nan Feng landed, she was squatting by the lake, poking the water with a twig, without even looking up.

"You're slow on the uptake. Did they finish their drinks at Ice Empress?"

"They finished it, and then refilled it." Nan Feng squatted down and glanced at the bottom of the lake. "How much of the formation is left?"

"Around 30%. If no one's watching it, it'll just spin on its own and fall apart sooner or later."

Bi Ji threw the branch into the lake.

"But the batch of Soul Pearl they collected before the organization fell apart were taken away. Yue Guan was right; they did indeed intend to use them in the Far North."

"Since you sealed the main rift to the north, they've switched their attack to the Dark Vein tributaries. I found remnants of Soul Pearl in three tributaries in the northwest corner."

Nan Feng nodded and took out a map of the Yue Guan Abyss Sect's strongholds compiled by Yueguan from the Tower Spirit Space.

The two of them and Bi Ji checked the positions of the three tributaries by the lake.

The two discussed for about half an hour and decided that Bi Ji would guard the dark lake and keep an eye on the tributary, while Nan Feng would return to Heaven Dou City to prepare for the next round of encirclement and suppression.

After finishing her story, Bi Ji suddenly changed her tone.

"Oh, right, about Tang San."

Nan Feng paused for a moment as he was putting away the map.

"Tang San?"

"Xiao Wu came to see me in the Star Dou Great Forest a few days ago."

Bi Ji stood up and brushed the bits of grass off her skirt.

"She said you promised Tang San you'd use the Three Lights Divine Water to revive Ah Yin. Tang San's Soul Power has been plummeting lately, and his divine position is about to collapse. She's afraid Tang San to see that day."

Nan Feng put the map away and remained silent for a couple of breaths.

"I won't forget my promise. Ah Yin's remnant soul has been nurtured beside the Ancient Tree of Life for some time now; it's time for it to be ready."

Bi Ji glanced at him.

"You came to the Star Dou Great Forest this time for more than just investigating the Dark Vein?"

"Let's handle both at the same time." Nan Feng stood up. "The Dark Vein matter is finished; now let's deal with Ah Yin's matter."

Bi Ji didn't ask any more questions, but added a sentence as he turned to leave.

"Xiao Wu said that Tang San has been sitting alone by the Blue Silver Grass field in a daze lately. Hurry up."

Nan Feng waved his hand and walked towards the outer edge of the Star Dou Great Forest.

Shifang followed behind, carrying the grilled fish rack. After a few steps, he suddenly remembered something.

"Brother Nan, what materials are needed to revive Ah Yin? I'll prepare them in advance."

"No need to prepare," Nan Feng said without turning her head. "The materials are stored in the tower."

By the time they returned to the Tower Spirit Space of the Heaven Dou City Tower, it was already dark.

Bibi Dong was squatting next to the Ancient Tree of Life, loosening the soil. When she saw him return, she didn't even look up, but pointed to the spot next to the tree roots.

"Ah Yin's remnant soul has been here, nourished by the Three Lights Divine Water every day, and has become quite solidified. If you want to make a move, do it now."

Nan Feng squatted down next to the Ancient Tree of Life.

The Ancient Tree of Life has grown to the height of two people. Its golden-blue trunk glows warmly under the fairy lamp.

Buried in the soil beside the tree roots was a pale blue mist, the remnant soul of Ah Yin.

Nourished by the Three Lights Divine Water, it has condensed from being so thin as to be almost invisible to now forming a fist-sized ball of light.

The silhouette of a woman can be seen inside.

"Old Huai, how much of the Three Lights Divine Water do you have left?"

The Old Huai peeked its head out from the sacred wood.

"That's enough. The amount of Nine Heavens Treasure Pearl we've accumulated is more than enough to revive one person. But there's something I need to tell you beforehand."

"Although Ah Yin's remnant soul has been almost fully restored, the skeleton will need to be made from the roots of the Ancient Tree of Life when her physical body is reconstructed."

"The Three Lights Divine Water forms the flesh and blood, Immortal Power serves as the catalyst."

"The process will take three days, and there can be no interruption of personnel."

"I'll guard it." Nan Feng sat down cross-legged.

Bibi Dong put away the bamboo sticks used to loosen the soil and stepped aside.

Shifang set up a grill for grilling fish at the entrance of the Tower Spirit Space, keeping the fire down. Grilling fish is grilling fish, but the noise shouldn't be too loud.

Before the Old Huai shrank back into the fairy tree, it muttered something.

"I'll keep an eye on things inside the tower for you for three days."

Nan Feng placed his hand on the trunk of the Ancient Tree of Life, and his Immortal Power flowed down through the roots.

The Three Lights Divine Water dripped down from the Nine Heavens Treasure Pearl, landing on the ball of light.

The pale blue mist began to surge, solidify, and elongate, first drawing out the outline of a spine, and then growing ribs from the spine to both sides.

Each one is as thin as a willow twig.

The Old Huai whispered instructions from within the sacred wood.

"After the ribs grow, the skull will grow. Slow down, skull, don't let it grow crooked."

Nan Feng ignored him and steadily channeled her Immortal Power downwards.

Day 1: Skeleton formation.

The roots of the Ancient Tree of Life, guided by Immortal Power, wove together to form a skeleton. The Three Lights Divine Water spread along the skeleton, condensing into meridians, blood vessels, and muscles.

After Ah Yin's remnant soul took shape, it tried to enter the skeleton. At first, it was not very stable, and its Soul Power was running wild. Nan Feng poured in another stream of Immortal Power to suppress it, and the Soul Power finally calmed down and traveled around the meridians.

The next day, flesh and blood took shape.

The flesh and blood formed by the Three Lights Divine Water are more translucent than that of ordinary people, and the blood vessels temporarily flow with Immortal Power rather than blood.

After Ah Yin's Soul Power flowed smoothly through her meridians, it began to produce blood on its own. Blood seeped out from her bone marrow, drop by drop flowing into her blood vessels, its color changing from pale blue to light red, and then to a normal bright red.

Shifang was grilling fish at the door when he glanced back and whispered to Bibi Dong.

"Is this halfway done?"

Bibi Dong nodded, clutching the bamboo skewer in her hand, but didn't loosen the soil for a long time.

On the third day, the skin took shape.

The Three Lights Divine Water seeped from the surface of the flesh and blood, condensing into a thin layer of skin.

Start from your fingertips and work your way up, inch by inch, to your shoulders, neck, and face.

Ah Yin's Soul Power surged the moment her skin took shape, and her entire human form floated up from the immortal light, hovering beside the Ancient Tree of Life. Her features gradually became clear, her eyebrows and eyes gentle, and the corners of her mouth slightly curved, making her look five or six parts like Tang San.

Nan Feng withdrew his Immortal Power, stood up, and stretched his legs, which had been stiff for three days.

Bibi Dong handed him a bowl of spiritual spring water. He took two gulps and then gestured with his chin toward the ball of light.

"That's about it. She'll take her last breath herself."

Ah Yin, inside the ball of light, twitched her eyelids, her eyelashes fluttered twice, and she opened her eyes.

The first thing she saw was the dome of the Tower Spirit Space. The Nine Heavens Treasure Pearl hung above and spun, casting down azure-gold celestial light.

The second thing you see is the Ancient Tree of Life. It has lush branches and leaves, its roots are firmly planted in the earth's veins, and a layer of warm light floats on its canopy.

The third person I saw was Nan Feng, squatting down beside me, drinking water from a bowl, with a look on his face that said he was finally done.

"Senior Ah Yin," Nan Feng put down the bowl, "Are you awake?"

Ah Yin sat up from the ball of light and looked down at her hands. Her fingers were long and slender, with a faint blue ethereal glow beneath her skin, and they felt warm to the touch.

She clenched her fist, then relaxed it, and looked up at Nan Feng.

"I've... come back to life?"

"You're alive." Nan Feng stood up and reached out to help her up. "Your bones are the roots of the Ancient Tree of Life, your flesh and blood are the Three Lights Divine Water, and your soul is your own. Just take good care of yourself from now on."

Ah Yin steadied herself, looked down at her body, and suddenly laughed, a slightly hoarse laugh.

"When I made my sacrifice, I thought that was the end of my life. I never imagined I'd be given another chance."

"Tang San is waiting outside." Nan Feng gestured towards the entrance of the Tower Spirit Space. "Xiao Wu is here too."

Ah Yin's eyes instantly reddened. She took a deep breath, held back her tears, and nodded.

I'm going to see him.

Outside the Tower Spirit Space, Tang San stood ten steps away from the Ancient Tree of Life.

He has lost a lot of weight in the past few months; his cheekbones are prominent, his eye sockets are sunken, and although the burn mark on the back of his hand has faded, it hasn't completely disappeared.

Xiao Wu stood beside him, gripping his arm, her scorpion braid hanging over her shoulder, her eyes fixed on the exit of the Tower Spirit Space.

When Ah Yin walked out of the Tower Spirit Space, Tang San froze.

He stared at Ah Yin for a long time, his lips moved, but no sound came out.

Ah Yin stood opposite him, looking at him, her eyes red-rimmed, but she was still smiling.

"The Little San."

She called out.

Tang San knelt on the ground, his knees slamming against the stone pavement with a loud thud.

Ah Yin walked over and squatted down, reaching out to hug him. Tang San buried his face in her shoulder, his shoulders trembling violently, but he didn't cry out.

Xiao Wu was already wiping her eyes with her sleeve.

"Mother," Tang San called out in a muffled voice.

"You've grown up." Ah Yin patted his back, her voice hoarse, "You've grown up."

The two knelt and embraced on the stone path for a long time. Xiao Wu squatted beside them, holding onto Tang San's arm tightly.

Shifang stirred the fire behind the grill to make it burn brighter, flipped the fish over, and said nothing. The Old Huai was unusually quiet among the immortal trees; not even its leaves swayed.

After a long while, Tang San finally lifted his head from Ah Yin's shoulder. His eyes were red, but he managed a smile.

He helped Ah Yin up, then took Xiao Wu's hand and stood in front of Ah Yin.

"Mother, this is Xiao Wu."

Xiao Wu obediently greeted, "Hello, Auntie."

Ah Yin looked at Xiao Wu, smiled and nodded, then reached out and patted the back of her hand.

"I know. The Little San mentioned you many times in her letters."

Xiao Wu paused for a moment, then turned to look at Tang San.

"You still write letters?"

Tang San's ears turned red.

Written in my early years.

Ah Yin chuckled, pulled the two of them together, and then glanced back at Nan Feng.

"Nan Feng, I'd like to go and speak to the Blue Silver Emperor Clan."

Nan Feng leaned against the Ancient Tree of Life, drank from the spiritual spring, and waved his hand.

"It's your own tribe, you go and tell them. I'll just follow along."

That afternoon, Ah Yin stood in front of the Blue Silver Emperor Clan's settlement deep within the Star Dou Great Forest.

The settlement was actually a valley where the Blue Silver Grass grew most densely. The grass spikes swayed in the wind, and dozens of Blue Silver Emperor plants that were over ten thousand years old formed a semi-circle, waiting.

Ah Yin stood in the center of the valley, her body still radiating the pale blue light of the Three Lights Divine Water. Her voice wasn't loud, but it could be heard throughout the entire valley.

"When I made my sacrifice, the Blue Silver Emperor Clan almost collapsed. Later, Little San rebuilt the clan's foundation, and I watched from within my remnant soul, remaining silent the whole time."

"Now that Nan Feng has resurrected me, I stand here as the Blue Silver Emperor and say a few words."

She paused.

"From this day forward, the Blue Silver Emperor Clan will coexist with the Immortal Dao."

The valley fell silent for a moment, then all the Blue Silver Grass lit up simultaneously.

First, there were dozens of evergreen Blue Silver Emperor nearby, their golden veins climbing up the stems of the leaves.

They climb onto the ears of grain and burst open, spreading from one plant to another, from one clump to another, outwards from the valley floor.

In less than the time it takes to drink half a cup of tea, the entire valley, along with the surrounding Blue Silver Grass Fields, lit up. Golden light flowed across the grass blades, spreading like a tide towards the outer edge of the Star Dou Great Forest.

Tang San stood at the edge of the valley, looking at the golden Blue Silver Grass covering the valley, and suddenly turned to Nan Feng and said something.

"Thanks."

Nan Feng put the empty bowl into the Tower Spirit Space and patted his clothes.

"No need to thank me. Your mother once told me that if I achieved Immortal Dao, the Blue Silver Emperor Clan would come under the wing of the Immortal Dao. Now that promise has come true."

Tang San chuckled and extended his hand. Nan Feng shook his hand.

The Old Huai poked its head out from the fairy tree, looked at the valley full of golden Blue Silver Grass, and clicked its tongue.

"Nan Feng, with the Blue Silver Emperor's allegiance, the Immortal Dao has gained another powerful force. Shouldn't we hold a second Immortal Dao Grand Ceremony next?"

Nan Feng thought for a moment.

"Let's deal with those Abyss Sect members first."
