Kexi held Aemeath's gradually cooling body, and everything around them became a blurry background noise.

The gunshots in the Cioccolata, Carlotta's roar, the guards' screams, and Danika's silvery laughter—all were muffled by a thick layer of water, blending into a buzzing roar.

Then something tore the layer of water apart from underneath.

A golden light exploded from his chest.

His pupils turned gold, and his hair faded from the roots, the black color being swallowed by the gold, each strand standing upright and fluttering wildly in the raging air currents.

An endless wave of energy raged wildly around him.

He transformed!

He's Super Saiyan.

(Zani's Power)

He let out a heart-wrenching roar, "Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!!"

He put Aemeath down and stood up.

The stone slab beneath his feet shattered, and spiderweb-like cracks spread outwards from him in all directions.

He raised his head, and his eyes no longer held sadness or confusion, but only a pure, almost incandescent golden light.

Danika's smile froze for the first time.

She instinctively raised her hand, and countless dark red claws surged out from behind her, overwhelming Kexi.

Kexi did not dodge.

He took a step forward, just one step, and the shockwave shattered those claws into pieces; the red lights exploded and then went out in the air.

His figure flashed through the fragments, and the next time he appeared in front of Danika, his fist slamming down with a straight golden beam of light.

The punch landed squarely on Danika's defenses.

The protective shield didn't even last a moment, shattering like glass. The fist smashed into her abdomen, sending her flying.

Danika's body crashed through the wall of the main hall, broke the century-old banyan tree in the courtyard, and slammed into the rockery in the back garden, sending rubble flying and dust billowing into the sky.

Kexi did not stop.

He chased after them into the dust and threw another punch.

Then came the third and fourth punches—each punch accompanied by a towering golden beam of light, causing the entire Montelli Manor to tremble.

Danika lay in the rubble, covered in blood, her black dress soaked through, and her sweet voice emitted a shrill sound.

"Don't want--!"

"Don't hit me! It hurts! It really hurts!"

A book appeared out of thin air in mid-air, its pages moving automatically without any wind.

Christopher has finally shown up.

He stood between Danika and Kexi, raised one hand, and countless chains emerged from the pages of the book, binding Kexi's fist in mid-air.

Kexi's arms were trembling violently, and the chains were creaking and straining, but she was ultimately unable to break free.

"Oh dear, oh dear," Christopher opened the book, his quill flying across the paper, a hint of helpless complaint in his voice, "We've finally reached a climax, how can you let him kill the heroine with one punch? That's not in the dramatic structure—let me see, let's add a paragraph here."

He wrote and read aloud, his voice filled with fervent devotion. "Danika absorbed the resentment of all those she had turned into dolls, and her power awakened in despair, taking on a new form. Her wounds began to heal, and she rose again."

Danika's wounds healed at a visible speed, and a pair of dark red wings formed from resentment unfurled from her back.

She stood up again, the terror on her face gone, replaced by a more morbid, twisted ecstasy.

"Brother Kexi, this time, I want you to willingly become my doll."

The moment Kexi saw Christopher, her eyes reddened again.

"Christopher! You bastard! It was you who did this all along, I'll... (censored)"

Christopher pretended not to hear, and instead gave a graceful, gentlemanly bow. "So, did you enjoy the story I created for you?"

"I like you, you fucking idiot!!" Kexi roared, her eyes red.

Carlotta rushed out.

She didn't know who the man was, but she knew it was dangerous. They couldn't beat Danika, and this man was even more dangerous than Danika.

He fired several shots, breaking the chains binding Kexi.

"Kexi! Cioccolata! Get out of here!" She raised her gun and pointed it at Christopher, shouting without turning her head.

Kexi's golden eyes suddenly turned to her. "No—we'll go together!"

"Stop talking nonsense! Get out!" Carlotta fired the first shot, the bullet heading straight for Christopher's forehead, but was stopped three feet away by a barrier. "I'll stay behind to cover your retreat."

"Do you know what it means to cover the rear?!" Kexi yelled at her, reaching out to grab Carlotta, but Christopher wrapped a chain around his arm again.

"I am the second young lady of the Montelli Family, and I have lived for this moment." Carlotta did not turn around.

Her voice was calm, exactly as calm as when she had yelled at him yesterday, "Get out. Don't let me die in vain."

Before Kexi could say anything more, Cioccolata rushed to his side, shot the chains off, and grabbed his arm.

She glanced at Carlotta, nodded, and then pulled Kexi along as they rushed out.

Kexi was dragged along for seven or eight steps, then broke free of her hand, ran back to Aemeath's side, picked up the person who was no longer breathing from the pool of blood, and caught up with Cioccolata.

The flying sword unfolded beneath their feet, and the two of them streaked across the sky above the Montelli Manor.

Christopher's disappointed sigh came from behind.

"With one main character and one supporting character gone, the story's ending won't be perfect. This won't do."

Next, we hear Danika's piercing scream.

"Brother Kexi! You can't escape! I will find you! I will kill everyone you love! So that you can only love me!"

Finally, there was the sound of Carlotta's gunfire, one shot after another, growing more frequent and closer, until it suddenly stopped.

Kexi did not turn around.

He didn't dare turn around.

He was afraid that if he turned around, he would see a rag doll dressed in a Western-style dress lying on the ground, and that if he turned around, he would lose control and rush back to his death.

He held Aemeath in his arms; her body was already cold, but a faint floral scent still lingered on her wedding dress.

He looked down at her face. Her eyes were closed, and her expression was calm, exactly the same as when she had fallen asleep in his arms last night.

"She hasn't killed me yet," he said hoarsely, "So she won't die. Right, Cioccolata?"

Cioccolata remained silent, not saying a word.

The flying sword pierced through the clouds, leaving the blood-stained manor far behind.

However, Danika had already taken to the sky, flapping her newly grown wings, and chased after them.

The flying sword cleaved through the clouds, the wind whistling in their ears.

Kexi knelt on the sword, holding Aemeath in his arms. Blood seeped from her wedding dress, turning cold and sticky in the high-altitude wind, smearing between his fingers.

"That Christopher! I'll kill him! I'll tear him to pieces and feed the bodies to the dogs!"

"Calm down." Cioccolata crouched down behind the sword.

"Calm down? How can I calm down? He killed my whole family." Kexi turned her head abruptly, the light in her eyes almost blinding.

"They're not real." Cioccolata's voice was very low.

What about Yaoyue?

Cioccolata fell silent.

Looking at her drooping eyelashes, Kexi felt as if the surging power in her chest had found an outlet.

"Those people from the Fractsidus are definitely no good. From now on, I'll kill them all on sight."

"Don't be so extreme." Cioccolata looked up.

"Ha, me, extreme?" Kexi sneered, his laughter dry and harsh, a stark contrast to his usual jovial tone. "That bastard Christopher is from the Fractsidus. What kind of good people could be around that bastard? And what kind of good people are his subordinates?"

"Once a member of the Fractsidus, always Fractsidus! I'd better not see another member of the Fractsidus, or I'll make sure she's dead."

Before he could finish speaking, Cioccolata suddenly turned his head and looked past his shoulder at the surging sea of clouds behind him.

Her pupils contracted slightly.

It looks like something is following us.

Kexi turned around. In the surging sea of clouds, a dark purple figure was approaching at an astonishing speed.

With that sweet, sickly smile on her face, she reached out her hand to Kexi from a distance, making a claw machine motion with her five fingers.

"Holy crap, it's Danika."

Kexi's anger was instantly doused with a bucket of ice water.

He instinctively hugged the person in his arms tighter, and the flying sword accelerated suddenly under his will, the blade rubbing against the air and making a sharp whistling sound.

"What should we do? We can't beat her."

Cioccolata's voice was strained.

"Go find my senior sisters. They should be able to handle it."
