Kexi awakened King's Plunder through his scandalous encounter with Cantarella, then began preparing for a gathering that drew together people connected to his long history of letters. In Egla, he helped Cioccolata and Yaoyue find the aged bard Rosinante, whose song had linked Yaoyue’s mother to him for fifty years.
Christopher trapped Kexi and his companions in a scripted cultivation world, where Kexi was cast out of the Mystic Sect and met Aemeath. He reached the Montelli family and agreed to marry Aemeath to fulfill Francis’s last wish, while Cioccolata set out to find him.
Kexi’s wedding to Aemeath ended in Danika’s attack, and Christopher’s collapsing script world cost him the people he had come to care for. After returning to reality, Kexi trained for revenge and pursued Resonance power through his letters and encounters, while plans around Ragunna and Carnival began to converge.
Kexi faced the women whose lives his letters had touched, while trying to pursue them and raise his Resonance Synchronization progress. After helping Selina with her family’s debts, he was left with a growing crowd of angry rivals and promised Lupa that he would stop writing to other women.
Kexi’s old letters brought Sanhua to the brink of death, while his pursuit of mission targets entangled him with Phrolova and drew more women into his life. As his birthday banquet approached, Christopher prepared to use Kexi’s likeness to create chaos, and Kexi tried to brace himself for the women expected to arrive.
Kexi’s birthday banquet spiraled into a public contest over his relationships before Christopher framed him for attacking Jinhsi. Hunted by the Order and unable to prove his innocence, Kexi hid on the Isle of Lament while Carlotta faced a challenge to her leadership.
