Onward to the Grove of Epiphany!
"So, what can I do?" Sera held out his right hand, and streams of data slowly took the shape of an apple.
The answer was that, in this world of data, Corruption could do anything!
However, his knowledge was limited, and the imitation authority of Reason he could wield in the data world was not the true authority of the Herrscher of Reason, which could construct things before understanding them. For now, he could only create things he understood.
As the Herrscher of Corruption, changing the ending of destruction was not difficult for him. The difficult part was figuring out how to resolve Cyrene's causality.
Moreover, Sera currently possessed only some of his authority and lacked sufficient output, so he could only construct simple objects.
To increase his output in the data world of Amphoreus, Sera had naturally set his sights on the Core Flames. As long as he corrupted them, he could greatly speed up his analysis of the scepter's access privileges.
Thus, Sera had divided his plan to save Amphoreus into three steps for now.
First, study and corrupt the Core Flames.
Second, become the complete Herrscher of Corruption and undergo apotheosis.
Third, find a way to resolve Cyrene's causality and achieve the perfect ending in which all the Chrysos Heirs survived.
The only Core Flame Sera could think of that an ordinary person like him was most likely to encounter was Reason, and the Grove of Epiphany happened to be the best place for him to study.
Unfortunately, in his plan, the Core Flame of Law, which represented Amphoreus's ultimate protocol, was the best key to obtaining administrator privileges more quickly. But he could not yet be sure whether a Core Flame that had returned to Creation's Vortex still retained its original privileges.
After all, once a Core Flame was cast in, its privileges transferred to its Chrysos Heir, and Cerydra had died long ago. Naturally, that left him no way to proceed, but it did not matter. In a world of data, he could simply retrieve Cerydra's data from the ruins of time. Of course, given the importance of the ultimate protocol, he also had to prepare to snatch her from the data core.
"What? Sera, you're leaving?" Phainon's eyes widened.
"Yeah, I want to go study at the Grove of Epiphany."
"Seriously, Sera? Didn't you used to say you liked lying flat?" Phainon stared at Sera in disbelief, clutching his chest. "Sera, you... haven't had your body snatched, have you?"
"What are you thinking?" Sera sighed helplessly. "For someone who likes lying flat, anyone who disturbs me while I'm lying flat is someone I'll definitely take care of!"
"I see." Phainon nodded. He understood that Sera must have something he had to do but could not talk about.
But...
"What about Cyrene? Have you told her?"
"Not yet... I don't know how to tell her." Sera was a little conflicted.
"I already heard you♪~" Cyrene suddenly patted Sera on the shoulder. "I'm going with you."
"Huh?"
"No refusing. It's settled."
Sera and Cyrene stood at the entrance to the Grove of Epiphany, staring at each other.
"So, how do we get into the Grove of Epiphany?" Cyrene asked.
"I dunno. I just came because I wanted to. I never thought about how to get in." Sera was a little dumbfounded.
"Why don't we ask someone?"
"'Kay."
Sera and Cyrene bravely asked a passerby, and the brave received their reward.
They successfully passed the examination.
Seeing the form ask which school he wanted to join, Sera thought for a moment and filled in the School of Wisdom Seeds. Cyrene leaned over to take a look, then put pen to paper as well.
"What do we do now?" Cyrene asked Sera.
"I don't know," Sera answered honestly.
"Sigh... Come on, little Sera. Let's find somewhere to live."
"Oh."
Cyrene took Sera by the hand and looked for a place to live. After Sera watched Cyrene speak with the landlord, they finally moved in, with nothing left to do but unpack.
"Sigh... I really don't know what you'd do if I hadn't come along."
"With Cyrene here, all I have to do is listen to her," Sera said matter-of-factly.
"Even if you say that... I... I'll still worry about you." A suspicious blush colored Cyrene's cheeks.
"All right, Cyrene." With his hands behind his back, Sera quietly shaped a pink flower.
"Look what I've got!" Sera held the flower out to Cyrene.
"Oh, it's a pink flower. So, little Sera, where did you pick it?"
"Secret." Sera did not tell her.
But Cyrene smiled as though she had seen through his secret. "I see~ It's a secret." She put extra emphasis on the word "secret."
Seeing Seraphis's eyes darting about, Cyrene chuckled softly.
"All right, get some rest. We have to report in tomorrow, and you don't want to be late, do you?"
Sera lay in bed, his restless heart settling down. He felt as though he had no secrets at all in front of Cyrene. Forget it. Sera stopped thinking about that and considered how he would try to get close to the Core Flame tomorrow.
If he remembered correctly, the Core Flame should be at the Throne of Enlightenment, but how could an utterly ordinary new student like him get close to it?
No, wait. Sera's azure eyes seemed to light up.
He could seek Anaxa's cooperation. Anaxa had a way to get close to the Core Flame. He only needed to demonstrate his ability to create through flowing data, and he believed Anaxa would surely realize something and come to him of his own accord.
As for Lygus, he felt his current power could block his spying for a while.
That was right. From the moment Seraphis recovered his memories, he had been keenly aware that he must be under Lygus's watch.
If you were going to say that an outside virus had blocked all observation, don't make Zandar laugh. How could there possibly be a place that couldn't be monitored without Zandar knowing about it?
Everywhere else could be monitored, but this one place couldn't. What an obvious marker~
The problem was that Lygus had not dealt with him all this time, which meant he had also become part of his plan.
But Sera thought that was the most frightening part. He was just an ordinary person, yet he had to match wits with the greatest genius, both in the open and in the shadows, and guard against his schemes. Was this for real?
Still, Sera's greatest advantage at present was that he knew everything about Amphoreus, while Lygus did not know that.
Sera was troubled. He had to put on an act to keep Lygus from noticing anything while also carrying out his plan. He was an idiot, an idiot with an IQ on par with a paramecium. What was he supposed to do?!
Forget it, forget it. He would leave the problem to his future self. For now, it was time to sleep.
Cyrene slowly pushed the door open, walked over to the bed, and pulled the covers back into place. After watching for a while, she went out and gently closed the door.
Just as Sera had thought, Lygus stood quietly outside the myth, watching the soundly sleeping Seraphis on the screen.
"The application to become a professor at the Grove has been approved. Let Lycurgus become a character in the play."
In a space of unknown dimensions, the Cocoon of Finality, which resembled a giant purple eyeball, quietly watched Seraphis.
