Xu Xingyu entered Shrek Academy, where his power and divine presence drew the attention of students and elders as he formed closer ties with Jiang Nannan and Wang Dong'er. As he became Class Nine's monitor and explored the Soul Tool Department with Xu Yanxue, old rivalries between Mu Jin and Zhou Yi resurfaced.
Xu Xingyu passed the Soul Tool Department assessment, witnessed a disputed soul fight, and suppressed Ma Xiaotao’s rampaging Evil Fire. His involvement opened negotiations between Shrek and the Spirit Contract Pagoda and drew competing recruitment efforts from the academy’s deans.
Xu Xingyu helped Ma Xiaotao stabilize her flames, began a relationship with Jiang Nannan, and led his team to victory in the freshman assessment. The arc ended with Huo Yuhao joining the Soul Tool Department as a core disciple while Xu Xingyu received a recommendation for early entry into the Inner Court.
Xu Xingyu reunited with Gu Yuena, moved the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well into the Soul Spirit Realm, and gained the Dragon Kings’ Soul Bones and a Thundering Hell Vine contract while condensing his chaos core. Wang Dong’er resisted Tang San’s attempt to control her and reconciled with Gu Yuena, while Huo Yuhao and Tian Meng began their dangerous hunt for the Ice Empress.
Huo Yuhao acquired the Rakshasa Helmet after Tian Meng died, while Xu Xingyu entered Shrek’s Inner Court assessment and joined the mission to Spirit Star Village. The fighting began as the Holy Spirit Cult prepared to claim the Bloodthirsty Sacred Stele, whose power Xu Xingyu recognized as familiar.
Xu Xingyu turned the Myriad Beasts Blood Stele against the Evil Soul Masters, then absorbed the Golden Ancient Tree’s Seed of Life and joined Shrek’s tournament team while building ties with the Spirit Contract Pagoda. The stretch ended with He Caitou preparing to join the pagoda and the Holy Spirit Cult regrouping to recover its relic and expand its ranks.
Shrek's mission against the Hand of Death left its tournament team badly injured after a clash with the Holy Spirit Cult, forcing the reserves and Xu Xingyu to carry its early matches. Xu Xingyu then secured a captured Soul Beast from the Star Luo Empire and arranged a Ferocious Beast Soul Spirit auction with Gu Yuena.
Xu Xingyu freed Bai Xiuxiu, while Shrek overcame Zhengtian and Dou Ling to reach the tournament semifinals and attended an auction where Xiao Hongchen won a Ferocious Beast Soul Spirit. Huo Yuhao, alienated from Shrek, accepted the Body Sect’s invitation, leaving Xuan Zi to urge Wang Yan to apologize and keep him at the academy.
Xu Xingyu led Shrek Academy through the tournament finals while navigating Xu Jiujiu’s political overtures and treating Ma Xiaotao. Shrek won the championship, but Huo Yuhao’s transformation exposed him to suspicion and left him threatened by Shrek, the White Tiger Duke’s Mansion, and the Body Sect.
Xu Xingyu saved Ma Xiaotao by transforming her Phoenix bloodline and Martial Soul into the Vermilion Bird's inheritance while the Holy Spirit Cult attacked Shrek Academy for Huo Yuhao. The siege left Long Xiaoyao dead and Mu En dying, and Mu En sought new agreements with Xu Xingyu to secure Shrek's future.
Xu Xingyu secured Mu En’s support, prepared Shrek reforms, and helped resurrect Electrolux while arranging inheritances for his companions. Wang Dong'er began the Sea God’s trials, and Bai Xiuxiu started absorbing the Ice Dragon King’s Dragon Core.
Xu Xingyu escaped the Origin Primordial Realm after mastering chaos, then reunited with Gu Yuena and the girls as Dragon Valley opened and revealed a link to his future. Mu En died after entrusting Shrek Academy’s future to his friends, but Buer gave him a puppet body, while Ye Xishui remade Long Xiaoyao as an undead servant.
Huo Yuhao embraced the Holy Spirit Cult’s path and passed the Evil Eye Holy King’s first trial by sacrificing his memories of Ling Luochen. Meanwhile, Xu Xingyu led the Spirit Contract Pagoda through a contest for Dragon Valley, defeating the Anti-Spirit Alliance and leaving Yu Tianyu dead after the Heart of the Thunder Dragon consumed him.
Xu Xingyu entered Dragon Valley and accepted the Dragon God’s trials, while his companions began their own examinations. At the Divine Dragon Pool, he claimed the Dragon Slaying Saber, fused it with the Thundering Hell Vine, and faced a Perfect Baptism and lightning tribulation as he attempted to condense a Soul Core.
Xu Xingyu saved Wang Dong'er from Tang San's attempt to awaken Tang Wutong within her, while Tang San secretly opened a passage linking the Abyss Plane to Douluo. As the Abyss invasion erupted on Sea God Island, Xu Xingyu and Wang Dong'er flew to confront it, and Sea Dragon Douluo discovered another attack unfolding beneath the island.
Xu Xingyu defended Sea God Island from the Abyss invasion until three Supreme Gods sealed the rift, leaving him to prepare for its eventual reopening and a possible continental war. He then sought Electrolux's help with Wang Dong'er's divided soul and agreed to search for the treasures needed to treat her.
Xu Xingyu gained the Light and Mountain Dragon Kings’ inheritances, forged a million-year Soul Ring, and entered a past plane with Gu Qiuxi. There, they revived A Jin as Ya Lin'er, met Ji Dong, and faced a ninth-tier Mist Earth Swamp Dragon as Gu Qiuxi fought it.
Xu Xingyu and Gu Qiuxi fought through the Sacred and Evil Island conflict, awakened the Thundering Hell Vine, and made a bargain with Lie Yan. After Xu Xingyu treated Gu Qiuxi’s growing corruption, the group reached the Three Harmonies Mountain Range and headed for Dragon Valley.
Xu Xingyu proved himself to the Dragon Clan, reunited Ya Lin'er with the Earth Dragon Ancestor, and helped the Dragon Emperor hatch his daughter Sidong. He entered the Dragon Graveyard with Gu Qiuxi, reclaimed the Dragon God's legacy, built the Star Dragon Tower, and left the arc with a new Bloodline Soul Core.
Xu Xingyu restored Dragon Valley, secured the Five Elements Dragon Clan’s future, and returned to his own era after completing two Dragon God trials. He contracted the Purifying Flame Hong Lian and brought the Spirit Contract Pagoda’s team to Mingdu, where his search for the Space Dragon King’s remains converged with his conflict with the Holy Spirit Cult.
