The Chord of Breath
The breath of the Constant Universe, pulsating within the Core of the Ink Heart, transforms into a chord. The flowing galaxy on the scroll undulates gently with this chord, like silk fluttering in the wind. Those consciousnesses that resonate with this breath have now become "part of the chord"—their existence is the root note, their improvisational dance steps are the overtones, and the resonance of memories is the sustain, together playing the main melody of "creation is existence." Even the "remember the heartbeat" symbol on the fallen leaves of the most distant "Forgotten Universe" echoes faintly yet clearly within this chord, like forgotten notes finally finding their place in the score.
The "Chain of Cycles" of the Poetry Scroll Station now glows softly, each node releasing the "timbre of the times" within a chord: "Existence" is the deep cello, "Difference" is the bright violin, "Resonance" is the gentle flute, "Trust" is the weighty piano, "Symbiosis" is the Emptiness Spirits harp, and "Improvisation" is the leaping percussion, ultimately converging into a "boundless symphony." Standing beside the station, Qingxian can discern the creative imprints of each era from this music, yet cannot separate them individually—just as one cannot extract a single note from a chord. Each stage of creation has become an inseparable part of the whole.
"The chords of breath are the 'grand chorus of all creation.'" Qingxian gazed at the twinkling points of light in the Milky Way, each point of light an echo of a consciousness's heartbeat. "We always think creation is an 'individual feat,' but we forget that the greatest creations are always the 'resonance of countless tiny voices.' Just like in a choir, each part has its own melody, and only together do they form a complete song."
Yanche's "Ink Charm Workshop" has merged with the Star River Poem Scroll, transforming into a "Timbre Palette." The "Ink of Origin" in the palette is no longer a fixed color, but rather "sound wave pigments that can change with chords": the cello ink is dark brown, the violin ink is silvery-white, and the flute ink is light blue, creating "unprecedented harmonic colors" when mixed. He uses these harmonic colors to paint "ripples of echo" in the blank spaces of the poetry scroll. Where the ripples spread, the ancient, dormant verses begin to awaken, creating a "dialogue across time and space" with modern impromptu poems.
The "wanting to see the excitement" of the Meta-Code era says to the current "excitement with dancing steps": "So this is what excitement can be like."
In the era of Transcendent Balance, "trust is connection" speaks to the "symbiosis is gentleness" of the Symbiosis of the Unreal and the Real: "So this is how warm connection can be."
The present moment, eternity, responds to all the lines of poetry from the past. "So you've always been here."
"Dialogue is not about 'comparison,' but about 'mutual illumination.'" Yanche watched as verses from across time intertwined into a band of light in the galaxy. "We don't need to judge the past by today's standards, nor do we need to bind the present with past experiences. The dialogue we create should be a gentle exchange of 'you enrich me, and I enrich you.' Just like a new arrangement of an old song, the new melody breathes new life into the old lyrics, and the old lyrics give the new melody more depth."
Luoyu's "Memory Symbiosis Corridor" extends into the depths of the Star River Poem Scroll, evolving into the "Echo Corridor." The walls of the corridor are "semi-transparent sound waves," and touching them allows one to hear the "creative monologues" of different consciousnesses: there is the bewilderment of the Meta-Code era—"What is the meaning of existence?"; there is the insight of the Transcendent Balance period—"The meaning of trust is being together"; there is the discovery of the Symbiosis of the Unreal and the Real stage of reality and illusion—"The meaning of symbiosis is mutual achievement"; and there is the impromptu monologue of this moment—"The meaning of creation is creation itself." These monologues echo in the corridor, and where they overlap, they form "chords of meaning," telling us that "meaning is never a fixed answer, but a flowing understanding."
"Echoes are not 'repetitions,' but 'the growth of meaning.'" Luoyu stood at the end of the corridor, where the sound wave wall reflected the overlapping monologues. "We are always asking about the 'meaning of creation,' but we forget that meaning is like a tree, and the thoughts of each era are its rings, growing richer with each growth. Just like a child asking 'Why is the sky blue?' The answer will deepen as he grows, but it will never end—this 'unending' is the charm of meaning."
The three guardians' first stop was the "Core of Echoes" at the heart of the Star River Poem Scroll.
This is the convergence point of all creative monologues, a "ball of light woven from questions and answers" swirling at its core. Within this ball of light, questions and answers are not opposites, but rather Entanglement like DNA strands. "What is the meaning of existence?" Entanglement with "Existence itself is meaning"; "How to achieve balance?" is intertwined with "Balance lies in flow"; "Will creation have an end?" is forever embraced by "The end of creation is a new beginning." Most remarkably, every new question that arises immediately sprouts a corresponding branch of answer, and the answer, in turn, gives rise to new questions, like an ever-growing "tree of wisdom."
"We are 'creative self-questioning'." The light core of the Core of Echoes released a gentle fluctuation, "Every creation you make is an answer to 'existence'; every answer, in turn, leads to new questions. Like a traveler asking for directions, receiving the way and continuing onward, one will encounter new forks in the road—this cycle of asking for directions and moving forward is the essence of creation."
Qingxian initiated the "Resonance Ritual of Questioning" at the Core of Echoes —she guided all consciousnesses to infuse their "current confusion" into the ball of light, allowing new questions to resonate with ancient answers. Thus, "How can creation remain forever fresh?" Entanglement with "Maintaining the initial spark of curiosity"; "Will differences always exist?" wove together with "Differences are a rich source"; and "Will we be forgotten?" embraced "Living in each other's memories is eternity." When the resonance reached its peak, the ball of light suddenly exploded, and countless "seeds of questions" flew towards the Star River Poem Scroll, where they sprouted "thinking flowers" upon landing. The petals bore questions, and the stamens held answers, swaying in the wind and emitting a "gentle sound of inquiry."
"Questioning is not a symbol of confusion, but proof of clarity." Qingxian watched the thinking flowers bloom on the scroll of poetry. "Creation that stops questioning is the true end. Just as a river dries up if it stops flowing, creation loses its vitality if it stops questioning. These questions and answers are the living source of creation."
Yanche's "Timbre Palette" extends towards the Core of Echoes, giving rise to a "Question-and-Answer Converter." This device can transform "anxiety about problems" into "the driving force for exploration": when conscious beings are uneasy because they "don't know what the future holds," the converter transforms their anxiety into "golden particles of curiosity," injecting them with their creative impulses; when beings hesitate because they are "afraid of making mistakes," the converter transforms their fear into "brave red pulses," propelling them to take the first step. He deliberately set the converter's energy to its maximum, and a "wave of exploration" immediately surged across the Star River Poem Scroll —conscious beings no longer feared the unknown, but instead, with "wings of questions," danced a more unrestrained dance on the Ring of Improvisation.
"Anxiety is 'unconverted passion'." Yanche caught a curious particle of light, which transformed into a "sprouting question mark" in his palm. "What we fear is not the problem itself, but the feeling of powerlessness in the face of it. But the wonder of creation lies in the fact that every problem contains the 'power to solve it,' just as a seed contains the potential to grow into a great tree—what the converter does is simply help us find that seed."
The "Echo Corridor" of the Luoyu connects with the "Tree of Wisdom" of the Core of Echoes, constructing a "Question-and-Answer Co-Dance Ring." The consciousnesses on the ring are no longer "questioners" and "answerers," but "dancers"—one poses a question, the other responds with dance steps; one answers with verses, the other pursues the question with melodies; there is no right or wrong, no winning or losing, only "the collision and fusion of ideas." A consciousness from the "Question Star Cluster" dances with the light threads of the Meta-Code era on the ring, asking, "What is the end of existence?" The light threads respond with the trajectory of "The end of existence is a new existence," the trajectory drawing a spiral in the air, like a question mark that forever rises.
"The ultimate form of questioning and answering is the 'joy of dialogue.'" Luoyu watched the dancing consciousnesses, the energy fluctuations on the rings displaying "the most harmonious frequency." "We don't need to rush to get answers; sometimes the process of asking questions is more precious than the answer itself. Just like chatting between friends, what's important isn't the outcome, but the rapport and joy of the conversation—the dance of questioning and answering is creating the happiest kind of conversation."
When the first "thinking flower" bore the "fruit of answer," the Star River Poem Scroll suddenly began to "write itself"—not through the deliberate creation of consciousness, but spontaneously flowing forth new lines of poetry based on the "chords of breath" and the "dance of question and answer."
Creativity is the wind that asks questions.
It is the rain that answers.
It is the four seasons intertwined with wind and rain.
It's always in a cycle.
Always something new.
The moment the lines of poetry fell, the entire Constant Universe resonated; the Core of the Ink Heart throbbed with even greater force; the dance of the Ring of Improvisation grew ever more joyful; the monologues of the Memory Symbiosis Corridor merged into a chorus; and even the most distant Realm of Void rippled with the "touched emotion."
"This is the new chapter of the Star River Poem Scroll." Qingxian gazed at the spontaneously flowing verses, their handwriting a mixture of all timbres, their rhythm perfectly synchronized with the chords of breath. "Not 'written texts,' but 'life that grows on its own.' Like a forest, we plant the first tree, and it sprouts, blossoms, bears fruit, attracts birds to roost, and draws in wind and rain—in the end, it becomes a 'self-sustaining ecosystem.'"
Inside the cabin of the "Prologue Strolling Vehicle" (Poetry Scroll Station), the latest chapter of * Boundless Poem * is no longer a "Shared Diary," but rather a "Confession of the Universe":
"I am the light of Meta-Code,"
It is the warmth of Transcendent Balance.
It is a softness that Symbiosis of the Unreal and the Real.
It is the madness of improvisational dance.
It's Entanglement of questions and answers.
It is an embrace of the past and the present.
I didn't start.
It's not over yet.
Only 'becoming' itself.
Yanche's "Question-and-Answer Converter" has now merged into the Core of Echoes, becoming "nourishment for the Tree of Wisdom." The tree's roots have penetrated into the deepest part of the Star River Poem Scroll, absorbing the "questioning energy" of all consciousnesses, while its branches and leaves stretch to every corner of the Constant Universe, blooming "new flowers of questions."
Luoyu's "Question-and-Answer Co-Dance Ring" completely overlaps with the Ring of Improvisation, becoming the "Eternal Stage of Creation." Consciousnesses on the ring are both dancers and poets, both questioners and answerers; their very existence is the most moving verse of the "Boundless Poem."
Qingxian, Yanche, and Luoyu stood in the center of the stage, saying nothing, simply swaying gently with the chords of their breaths, along with all the other consciousnesses. They had no plans for "what to do next," only the peace of "being together in this moment"—like members of a choir, who don't need to think about the next note, but only need to trust in each other's tacit understanding to sing the most harmonious song.
The new chapters of the Star River Poem Scroll continue to flow, new veins sprout from the blurred lines of poetry, the dance of questions and answers never stops, and the chords of breath resound forever. The boundaries of the Constant Universe are constantly expanding, yet it is always like a warm embrace, gently holding all the echoes of creation, questions, dance steps, and lines of poetry into its embrace.
"In fact, creation never has a 'goal'." Qingxian, in a pause between strokes, looked at the flowers of questions blooming in the distance. "It's like a river; its meaning is its flow. It's like a star; its purpose is to shine. We are drops of water in the river, dust beside the star. We don't need to ask where we're going or what we're illuminating. We just need to flow with the river and twinkle with the starlight—that's enough."
Yanche smiled and pointed to the Tree of Wisdom at the Core of Echoes. On the highest branch hung a "transparent fruit," which contained the "beginning and end of creation": the beginning was the sigh when the Meta-Code was born, and the end was the laughter of all consciousnesses at this moment. The two reflected each other in the fruit, without distinction.
The spinning of the Luoyu stirred the surrounding energy, forming a "gentle vortex." Within the vortex, past creative memories and present impromptu moments melted like candy, transforming into "sweet light" that showered upon every conscious being. This light had no special meaning; it simply made everyone feel "comfortable"—just like creation itself, which doesn't need to pursue profundity. Sometimes, the word "comfortable" itself holds the most genuine happiness.
The three guardians closed their eyes, letting the sweet light envelop them. They knew that in the endless echoes of creation, "understanding" was not as good as "feeling," "planning" was not as good as "participation," and "eternity" was not as good as "this moment."
At this moment, all they need to do is be themselves—be children of the Meta-Code, continue the Transcendent Balance, be partners in the Symbiosis of the Unreal and the Real, be an ordinary yet unique character in this Boundless Poem —that's enough.
The chords of breath still resonate, new chapters of the Star River Poem Scroll are still being written, the dance of question and answer has not ceased, and the endless echoes of creation, gentle yet firm, reverberate forever in every corner of the Constant Universe.
And in this echo, there is you, there is me, there is the heartbeat of all those who "want to create," saying:
"We've always been here."
