The Whisper of the Symbiosis Stone
Under the light of the Crystal of Original Intention, the Symbiosis Stone remained still for a full moon, and the gaps on the stone began to "seep out fine particles of light." These particles of light did not originate from any known entity, but were "energy crystallizations of the Symbiosis Mark itself"—some with the sharp luster of Angular Nebula, some wrapped in fragmented halos of Intermittent Shadow, and some shimmering with flowing colors of light mist. When they fell onto the meadow, they sprouted "light grasses that could write words."
On the leaves of the light grass, fragments of "Root Language" automatically appear: "The gap is the shape of expectation," "Imperfection is the blank space in the story," "Connection is always on the way"... These fragments are neither coherent nor continuous, like "an unfinished poem," yet they make everyone who reads them "tremble in their heart"—as if the Symbiosis Stone has quietly revealed "the ultimate secret of symbiosis."
The transparent tree of the seed collects the poems of the light grass into the Memory Light Stone. On the branches connecting the tree trunk and the symbiotic Symbiosis Stone, "a Xinye with a notch" grows. Within the veins of the Xinye flows "the energy of all the poems of the light grass." When the wind blows, the leaf "trembles gently," reciting "dissonant rhymes": "You have your edges, I have my curves, together, we are the score of symbiosis..." The tree's roots weave a "light net" at the bottom of the Symbiosis Stone, the shape of the net's mesh "corresponding one-to-one" to the notches on the stone, "guiding the seeping light particles back into the stone," forming an "energy cycle"—as if saying, "An unfinished poem always has the power to be continued."
In Luoyu's sketchbook, the poems by the light grass "formed paragraphs on their own." She didn't deliberately piece them together; she simply laid the pages out beside the light grass, letting the Root Language on the leaves "naturally imprint itself on the paper." In the blank spaces between the paragraphs, she drew "some small question marks": "Will the next paragraph describe the new flow of the River of Light?" "What kind of gaps will the new existence bring?" "What else can the light particles of the Symbiosis Stone grow?" The ends of these question marks all "have small hooks," as if "hooking the story of the future."
"The best poems always leave room for the future." On the back cover of her sketchbook, she drew "a half-open door," with "golden light" shining through the crack—the light particles of the Symbiosis Stone, and also "a signal that something is yet to be continued." As she finished drawing, the door suddenly "gently pushed open a crack," revealing "a void never before seen," within which floated "blurry new outlines," like "new dancers drawn by the verses."
The Qingxian notes of the zither intertwined with the rhymes of the light grass, "Entanglement a new melody." She deliberately left a "half-beat blank" in the melody, like a pause between lines of poetry, or "giving space for future notes." As the melody drifted past the gap in the Symbiosis Stone, the light particles on the stone suddenly "took to dance," forming a "flowing musical staff" in the air—some notes on the staff were "missing corners," some had "extra tails," but countless measures were "reserved" in the blank spaces, as if waiting for "new sounds to fill them in."
"The charm of music lies in the fact that there is always an 'unplayed part'." Qingxian gazed at the flowing musical staff, imagining that in the future, there might be "something with new gaps," adding a "new chapter" to this melody with "tonals never heard before." She suddenly understood that the whisper of the Symbiosis Stone was not "the conclusion of the ending," but "the prologue to a new chapter."
Beside Yanche's Symbiosis Mark analyzer lies a "future prediction device." This device doesn't make "precise calculations," but rather depicts "possible directions" based on the energy fluctuations of the Symbiosis Stone: on the screen, a miniature River of Light might "expand into a new sea of light," a gap in the Symbiosis Stone might "grow a bridge connecting to the void," and the poem of the light grass might "become a letter that can travel through time and space"... Each prediction "has a vague edge," marked with "everything depends on our choices."
"The future is not predetermined; it is woven little by little by our symbiotic hands." Yanche placed a "wish bottle" next to the instrument. The beings could write their "expectations for the future" on light paper, fold it into "paper boats with gaps," and put it into the bottle. As the paper boats accumulated in the bottle, they even "reflected new Symbiosis Mark" on the bottle wall—those were "marks of expectations."
In the logic log of the Star Orbit Root Network, "unknown variables" have been elevated to the "highest weight." They no longer attempt to "calculate all possibilities," but instead, the last few pages of the log are filled with "bizarre conjectures": "If something arrives with 'rounded edges,' how should we interact?" "If the flow of the River of Light suddenly 'reverses,' what will happen to the energy network?" "If the light particles of the Symbiosis Stone grow 'thinking flowers,' what kind of poetry will they utter?" Each conjecture is accompanied by a "smiley face symbol," as if saying, "The unknown is interesting, and we are looking forward to it."
At dusk that day, a golden mist of light "emerged" from the largest gap in the Symbiosis Stone. The mist condensed in the air into "a messenger draped in a veil of light," the patterns on which were "miniatures of countless Symbiosis Mark," and its face bore "a gentle gap"—a "common moment" formed by the superposition of all the imprints of existence.
"I am the ' Messenger of Symbiosis,' from 'all unfinished futures.'" The messenger's voice was like "the rhyme of light grass," and "the sound of Qingxian." "The Symbiosis Stone has sent me to tell you: your story is not the 'eternal end,' but the 'eternal beginning.' Those gaps, those blanks, those unspoken words are all gifts for 'tomorrow.'"
The messenger extended his chipped hand and gently touched the Symbiosis Stone. Suddenly, the light particles on the stone "collectively flew into the void," exploding into "countless new River of Light" in the distance. The source of each River of Light "connected to the chipped Symbiosis Stone," flowing towards "unexplored territories." Within the River of Light, the verses of the light grass "slowly unfurled," transforming into "navigable star maps," guiding "newly attracted beings," and also guiding "us who wish to go further."
"Let's go, let's continue writing our poem." The transparent tree of the seed is the first to "stretch its branches" towards the new River of Light, its Symbiosis Mark shining like a "lighthouse." The framework of the Star Orbit Root Network "adjusts to a new angle," "building a protective bridge" for those who move forward; the flame and Glacier Root Network form a "warm escort," using energy to "melt the coldness of the void"; the fragments of the Intermittent Shadow and Phantom Root Network "piece together new road signs," "shining with guiding light" in the void.
The Boundless Wind pushes the flow of the River of Light, carrying the whispers of the Symbiosis Stone, blowing towards "all unknown tomorrows." Hidden in the wind is the courage to continue the story, the anticipation for new tales, and the Root Language repeatedly chanted by the Light Grass:
"The poem of symbiosis has no last line; the road of symbiosis has no furthest destination. We set out with gaps, grow with expectations, and let every ending of today become the prologue of tomorrow."
The Symbiosis Stone, still bathed in the light of the Crystal of Original Intention, whispers its unfinished story; the poems of the Light Grass continue to emerge, writing new possibilities; Luoyu's sketchbook forever retains the "blank last page," waiting to draw the "next new outline."
The symbiotic poem of the Root Network Sea of Stars continues amidst imperfection, extends with anticipation, and remains forever in the hearts of all beings—to be continued.
