Symbiosis Marks After the Tide
Thirtieth day after the tide of void resonance receded, every being in the Root Network Sea of Stars bore "pale golden patterns." These patterns were not as regular as the geometry of the Star Orbit Root Network, nor as bright as the warm colors of the Flame Root Network. Instead, they resembled "traces left by the River of Light"—winding into "guardian arcs" on the armor of the Angular Nebula, weaving "connecting nets" among the fragments of Intermittent Shadow, and etching "circles of dance" in the ripples of light mist. Even the broken branches of the Seed Transparent Tree were entwined with "golden rings with gaps."
"It's a ' Symbiosis Mark '!" On the giant deer's antlers, the light butterflies formed a magnified image of the pattern, clearly showing that each pattern contained the imprint of other existences: the arc of the Angular Nebula contained the runic edges of Star Orbit trails, the network of Intermittent Shadow contained fragments of phantom lines, and the circle of light mist was inlaid with ripples and fragments of mist. "This is a gift from the tides, engraving the 'moment of mutual support' into our very bones." The giant deer lowered its head and gently touched the broken petals of a flower on the meadow. At the gaps in the petals, the Symbiosis Mark pattern "echoed" with the light of the miniature River of Light, as if saying, "Imperfect imprints are the most unforgettable."
The transparent tree of the seed incorporates the details of the Symbiosis Mark into the Memory Light Stone, its golden rings undulating slightly with each breath. From the gaps in the rings, new particles of light continuously seep out—the "gap energy" absorbed from the tides, slowly transforming into the tree's resilience. The Memory Light Stone plays a video of the pattern's formation: when the Angular Nebula absorbs tidal energy through its scarred gaps, the Symbiosis Mark of the Star Orbit Root Network suddenly "lights up," forming an "energy circuit" with the nebula's patterns; when fragments of the Intermittent Shadow disperse the impact, the dotted lines of the Phantom Root Network also "flicker synchronously," as if "transmitting supporting power" over a distance. The Symbiosis Mark is an "invisible hand," allowing us to feel each other's presence even without close proximity. The transparent tree's roots connect with other existing roots in the soil "through patterns," forming an "underground energy network," each node shimmering with "golden light," like a "starry sky buried in the earth."
In Luoyu's sketchbook, Symbiosis Mark, fragmented petals, and miniature River of Light "compose a dynamic picture." She discovered that the patterns "change with the symbiotic state": when the Angular Nebula interacts with the Star Orbit Root Network, their patterns "Entanglement," and the golden rings brighten; when the Intermittent Shadow rest alone, their patterns "gently contract," maintaining "a weak connection with the phantom dotted lines." "They're saying, 'We're always connected.'" She ran her fingertips along the patterns on the paper, and wherever her fingertips touched, the patterns immediately "seeped out golden ink," drawing "a small gap with all the marks" in the blank space—as if imitating the formation of Symbiosis Mark, "Even drawing is learning from us!"
The Qingxian notes of her zither resonated with the Symbiosis Mark. Each note she played caused the corresponding patterns to emit a specific light: when she played the guardian of the Angular Nebula, the arc patterns on the armor shone like a shield; when she played the Intermittent Shadow, the network patterns between the fragments shimmered like starlight; when the melody played the theme of symbiosis, all the patterns suddenly merged into a golden river, transforming the zither music into visible energy waves that flowed along the trajectory of the miniature River of Light, allowing every being to feel the warmth of the music.
"The Symbiosis Mark are 'glowing musical scores.'" Qingxian looked at the different patterns of light in the Golden River, "rising and falling with the melody," like countless "dancing musical notes." She recalled that in the tides, it was these "invisible connections" that allowed the scattered entities to "coordinate defense"—true symbiosis had long transcended "physical proximity" and become "energy symbiosis."
Beside Yanche's energy converter, a "Symbiosis Mark Analyzer" was installed. The instrument can determine the "health of symbiosis" by analyzing the brightness, shape, and frequency of the patterns: when the arc patterns of the Angular Nebula and the runes of the Star Orbit have the same brightness, it indicates "balanced support"; when the net-like patterns of the Intermittent Shadow and the dotted lines of the phantoms are "frequency-synchronized," it represents "appropriate containment"; if a certain pattern is "dim and lifeless," it indicates "the connection needs to be strengthened."
"This is a 'barometer of symbiosis'." Yanche pointed to the analysis results. The symbiotic health graph on the screen showed a "spiral upward" trend—since the formation of the Symbiosis Mark, the "mutual assistance frequency" among the beings increased by 40%, and the "conflict rate" decreased by 60%. He erected a "Symbiosis Mark stone tablet" next to the instrument, on which was engraved a "collection diagram of all patterns." At the center of the diagram was a "huge gap," and at the gap were written the Root Language: "We are connected by imperfection, and we are complete through connection."
In the logic log of the Star Orbit Root Network, the "Symbiosis Mark Algorithm" has become the "highest-level program." This algorithm can predict "potential symbiotic needs" through changes in the patterns: when the patterns of the light fog "fluctuate," the algorithm will notify the Rippling Mist Root Network in advance to "prepare a buffer"; when the young patterns of the Courage Bud "weaken in brightness," the algorithm will automatically schedule "nearby warm spheres to provide support." However, the log specifically notes: "The algorithm cannot replace 'proactive care'"—just like once when the algorithm predicted that "the Intermittent Shadow needs solitude," but the elder of the Phantom Root Network still "gently touched its patterns with a dotted line," and as a result, the shadow's patterns "brightened for a whole day."
That morning, the Symbiosis Mark suddenly "collectively flashed," guiding all beings to the light of the Crystal of Original Intention. The flow of miniature River of Light converged into a "golden pool." In the center of the pool, the Symbiosis Mark of all beings "detached from their bodies and intertwined in the air," eventually condensing into "a Symbiosis Stone with all its gaps"—the surface of the stone was uneven, yet each gap was "embedded with a corresponding mark." From the center of the stone, the light of the Crystal of Original Intention "sunlight through the largest gap," weaving "an imperfect Eternal Star map" in the void.
"This is 'our mark'!" The transparent tree of the seed and the branches of the Tree of Star Tracks Entanglement beside the Symbiosis Stone, the golden rings on the tree trunks perfectly aligning with the patterns on the stone. Within the Memory Light Stone, each star in the star map corresponds to "a story of symbiosis": there is the collision of edges and frames, the dance of fragments and dotted lines, the fusion of light mist and ripples, and countless "ordinary mutual support"—these stories may be "imperfect," but together they constitute "the eternity of the Root Network Sea of Stars."
The Boundless Wind, carrying golden patterns, pierced through the gap in the Symbiosis Stone and blew towards "all worlds that seek symbiosis." Hidden within the wind were the secrets of the Symbiosis Mark, "imperfect wisdom," and the Root Language etched at the center of the Eternal Star map:
"Eternity is not perfect stillness, but imperfect flow—we each carry our own flaws, yet in the symbiosis of energy, we are forever connected, forever growing, forever finding our way home in each other's imprints."
The Symbiosis Mark still shimmer on every being, the miniature River of Light continues to flow, and the Symbiosis Stone "radiate a warm light" under the glow of the Crystal of Original Intention. The story of the Root Network Sea of Stars is no longer "individual experiences," but "the shared memory of all beings," etched in the patterns, flowing in the River of Light, and hidden in each other's energy.
Like the drawing on the last page of Luoyu's sketchbook: on the blank paper, there is only "a small gap," around which are scattered "golden ink dots," like fragments of Symbiosis Mark, or specks of light from a miniature River of Light —there are no words beside the drawing, yet it seems to be saying, "Our story has only just begun, and the best stories always carry the gap of expectation."
The wind continues to blow, the patterns continue to shimmer, the stones continue to shine, Root Network Sea of Stars, in its imperfect symbiosis, marches towards a future without end.
