Final Battle in the Holy Land: The Azure Lotus Vanquishes Evil and the Return of Light

The air in Spirit City seemed to have frozen.

By the time Tang San and his companions appeared in the temple square, Bibi Dong was already waiting there with Spirit Hall's core fighting force. Black-clad Soul Masters lined both sides of the square, their gazes fanatical and cold, their weapons gleaming with a chilling light. They had turned the entire square into a vast cage.

Dai Mubai was bound to the altar in the center of the square, black chains of Soul Power wrapped around him. His face was pale, but he still glared at Bibi Dong, without the slightest trace of submission in his eyes.

"Tang San, you came after all." Bibi Dong stood atop the altar, the illusory figure of a Six-Winged Angel flickering in and out of view as black Soul Power flowed around her like silk. "Hand over the Chaos Azure Lotus, and I can give you a dignified death."

"Release Dai Mubai first." Tang San stepped forward, the light of the Chaos Azure Lotus flickering faintly at his chest. "Otherwise, you can forget about ever getting it."

"How dare you!" Ghost Douluo Gui Mei appeared behind Tang San, his Netherworld Ghost Claw striking with a bone-piercing chill. "His Holiness the Pope's patience has its limits!"

"I'm your opponent!" Lin Ye instantly stepped in front of Tang San, and the Lotus Fire Barrier sprang open. Golden flames intertwined with seven-colored light, blocking the Netherworld Ghost Claw. The fusion of Golden Crow Fire and the Azure Lotus's power had brought the strength of his Soul Power close to that of a Soul Douluo, allowing him to take Ghost Douluo's blow head-on.

"Interesting." A flicker of surprise crossed Gui Mei's eyes. "It seems not crippling you completely in the Sunset Forest was a mistake."

"Today is the day you die!" Lin Ye roared, and Lotus Flame formed a spear that thrust straight at Gui Mei's chest.

"You don't know the difference between life and death!" Gui Mei's figure flickered, melting into the shadows and vanishing.

The tension in the square instantly reached its peak. Tang Hao and Tang Xiao summoned their Clear Sky Hammers at the same time. The enormous hammers hovered in midair, radiating a pressure that shook heaven and earth as they faced Bibi Dong's illusory Six-Winged Angel across the square.

"Bibi Dong, it's been years, but your heart has only grown darker." Tang Hao's voice rang across the square like a great bell. "To resurrect a remnant soul, you've been willing to harm so many innocent people. How can you face the ancestors of the Angel Clan?"

"Ancestors?" Bibi Dong sounded as though she had heard the greatest joke in the world. "They turned to dust long ago! Only power is eternal! Once I inherit the Angel Godhood, the entire continent will prostrate itself at my feet. Who will dare question whether I'm right or wrong then?"

"That depends on whether you live long enough!" Tang Xiao roared, bringing his Clear Sky Hammer down on Bibi Dong with immense force.

Bibi Dong snorted coldly and swept her six wings. Black blades of light shot out like a torrential downpour, colliding with the Clear Sky Hammer in a deafening boom.

"Attack!" Seizing the chance, Tang San gave Xiao Wu and Tai Long a signal.

Xiao Wu instantly used Teleportation, bringing Tai Long to the foot of the altar. Tai Long roared and transformed into a Great Strength Gorilla, smashing his fists against the black Soul Power chains like heavy hammers.

Clang!

The chains trembled violently but did not break. Seeing this, Dai Mubai used the last of his strength to release the Soul Power of the Hell Spirit Cat, attempting to destroy the chains from within.

"Trying to save him? It won't be that easy!" Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan appeared beside the altar, sending golden chrysanthemums laden with deadly poison flying at Xiao Wu and Tai Long.

Oscar tossed out a defense sausage just in time. A pale golden shield blocked the poisonous chrysanthemums. "Xiao Wu, hurry! I can't hold out much longer!"

Battle erupted across the square. Tang Hao and Tang Xiao fought Bibi Dong, Lin Ye battled Ghost Douluo, and Xiao Wu, Tai Long, and Oscar joined forces to rescue Dai Mubai, while Tang San faced the black-clad Soul Masters surging toward him like a tide.

Tang San did not rush to use the Chaos Azure Lotus's power. Instead, he relied on the controlling power of Blue Silver Grass to continually divide and restrain the black-clad Soul Masters. He unleashed the Blue Silver Domain at full strength, turning every weed in the square into his weapon. They lashed around his enemies one moment and pierced at them the next, leaving the black-clad Soul Masters unable to take a single step.

"Is that all you can do?" Bibi Dong sneered as she fended off the attacks of the Tang brothers. "Without the Chaos Azure Lotus, you're nothing!"

Tang San ignored her taunt. He was waiting for the perfect opportunity. He could sense the Chaos Azure Lotus absorbing the fluctuations of Soul Power on the battlefield, especially the energy tainted by darkness. With every bit it absorbed, the Azure Lotus's light grew brighter.

"Just about enough." A sharp glint flashed in Tang San's eyes, and he suddenly shouted to Lin Ye, "Lin Ye, use Lotus Fire Blazing Sun!"

Lin Ye understood at once. He drove Gui Mei back for the moment and concentrated all his Soul Power into a single point. Golden light burst forth, illuminating the entire square like a second sun!

Gui Mei's shadow had nowhere to hide beneath the brilliant light, and he let out a scream.

Now!

The Chaos Azure Lotus suddenly flew out from Tang San's chest and hovered in the center of the square. Seven-colored light spread like a tide, and wherever it passed, black Soul Power melted away like ice and snow. The evil Soul Skills affecting the black-clad Soul Masters failed one after another, leaving them with expressions of pain and confusion.

"No! My power!" Bibi Dong watched in terror as her Dark Angel power was purified by the Azure Lotus's light. The black markings on her six wings faded at a speed visible to the naked eye.

"This is the Chaos Azure Lotus's true power-to purify all darkness and awaken the source of life." Tang San's voice was like music from heaven, reaching every corner of the square. "Bibi Dong, you were wrong. Power has never been eternal. Only light and justice can endure forever!"

The Chaos Azure Lotus's light focused on the Angel God Statue in the center of the altar. The scarlet light on the statue flickered violently, and a piercing scream rang out as a hazy black figure was forced from the statue-the corrupted remnant soul of the Angel God herself!

"Seize her!" Tang San roared, and the Chaos Azure Lotus transformed into a seven-colored chain that bound the black figure.

The black figure struggled wildly and unleashed the last of her dark power. Broken stones rose from the square and hurtled toward Tang San.

"Don't even think about hurting Little San!" Dai Mubai had broken free of the chains at some point. Though covered in wounds, he still stepped in front of Tang San and shielded him with his body.

"Dai Mubai!" Tang San cried out.

"We're partners..." Dai Mubai smiled and slowly collapsed.

"No-!" Tang San's eyes nearly split with fury as the Chaos Azure Lotus's power erupted completely, and the seven-colored chain tightened sharply.

"Ah-!"

The black figure let out a despairing scream and completely dissipated in the Azure Lotus's light. The scarlet glow faded from the Angel God Statue, and it became sacred and majestic once more.

As the remnant soul dissipated, the black vanished entirely from Bibi Dong's six wings, restoring their original pure white. But she seemed to have lost all her strength and slumped to the ground, her eyes vacant.

Seeing that all was lost, Ghost Douluo and Chrysanthemum Douluo tried to flee, but Tang Hao and Tang Xiao blocked their path. The Clear Sky Hammers fell, bringing their evil to an end once and for all.

Purified by the Azure Lotus's light, the black-clad Soul Masters in the square came to their senses one after another. They looked at the scene before them, remorse on their faces.

The battle was over.

Tang San rushed to Dai Mubai's side and channeled the Chaos Azure Lotus's power into him. Azure Lotus light flowed over Dai Mubai, and his wounds healed at a speed visible to the naked eye. He slowly opened his eyes and, upon seeing Tang San, gave a weak smile. "I knew... you'd win..."

"Welcome back, partner." Tang San helped him up, his eyes moist.

Lin Ye, Xiao Wu, Oscar, and Tai Long gathered around them. The five embraced tightly, tears falling amid their joy.

Tang Hao and Tang Xiao walked over to Tang San and patted him on the shoulder, their eyes full of relief.

In the distance, the alliance army led by Ning Fengzhi arrived. At the sight of the square, they all broke into cheers.

Sunlight streamed through the clouds onto the Chaos Azure Lotus. Its seven-colored light intertwined with the golden sunlight, forming a beautiful rainbow that arched over all of Spirit City.

Tang San looked up at the sky, feeling the fresh Soul Power in the air, his heart full of peace. He knew that victory in this war was not merely their victory, but also the victory of light over darkness, of justice over evil.

The Chaos Azure Lotus slowly flew back into his hand and transformed into a lotus seed, merging with his Soul Bone. It had fulfilled its mission, but it had also left behind eternal hope.

"Let's go home," Tang San said to his companions.

"Yes!"

The group walked out of the temple square side by side, the rebuilding Spirit City behind them and a future full of hope ahead. Their shadows stretched long in the sunlight, yet nestled close together, never to part again.

They were writing the continent's new chapter with their own hands. And those stories of courage, friendship, and justice would be passed down forever, inspiring generation after generation of Soul Masters to forge bravely ahead for light and peace.
