• Wang Xingyu and Xiao Wu parted from Li Ping'an and Li Yunzheng, who continued on to Shrek Academy, then set out for the Death Desert.
• Wang Xingyu healed an injured Desert Cat near the desert’s edge, and Xiao Wu led him farther into the sands.
• Wang Xingyu discovered Xiao Wu had been holding the map upside down, and the two reached a settlement to refill their water and supplies.
• Wang Xingyu and Xiao Wu traveled through the desert at night after the temperature fell, then were surrounded by dozens of Desert Cats.

• Xiao Wu carried a Desert Cat to an abandoned courtyard, where she and Wang Xingyu saw four Soul Masters, cages of Desert Cats and unconscious children, and a blood-filled cauldron.

• The Silver Moon Wolf Emperor accepted Xiao Wu as a candidate after she swore never to harm the Soul Beast race, but decided Wang Xingyu did not need to swear.
