Huo Wu Versus Li Dabao
As the bull's silhouette merged into Li Dabao's body, his whole frame rapidly swelled, growing from 1.8 meters to 2.1 meters tall. Two outward-pointing horns appeared on his head, and his features grew bestial, leaving him with the appearance of a bull's head on a human body.
Watching the Soul Skill attack closing in on him, Li Dabao lit up his First Soul Ring. Two yellow Soul Rings appeared beneath his feet, the first glowing yellow.
A faint smile on his face, Li Dabao watched the incoming fireballs and gave a low shout.
"First Soul Skill, Brute Bull Tyrant Body!"
Earth-yellow light instantly covered his body. Huo Wu's fireballs struck its surface in a blinding red glare, and explosions rang out one after another.
After a cloud of thick smoke cleared, Li Dabao appeared. The fireballs had left black marks on him, but clearly had caused no injuries. He could withstand attacks like that with ease. He then kicked his right foot back, pushing off the arena floor and lunging swiftly at Huo Wu.
Huo Wu was briefly stunned to see that her First Soul Skill had failed to hurt him, but she quickly steadied herself. Just as Li Dabao was about to grab her, she turned sideways and dodged the attack.
"Oh, you're pretty nimble, little girl. But don't forget, I've only used my First Soul Skill so far. I haven't used my Second Soul Skill yet." Li Dabao smiled faintly, teasing Huo Wu.
"Hmph, you think you're the only one with a Second Soul Skill? I haven't used mine either," Huo Wu shot back, her face livid. She gave Li Dabao no friendly look; she had no fondness for the muscle-bound fellow.
Seeing the feisty girl give him no friendly look, Li Dabao's face darkened. He immediately decided to show her a thing or two and make her understand that the Soul Fighting platform was no place to play house. With a fierce shout, he lit up his Second Soul Ring.
"Second Soul Skill, Brute Bull Splash Stomp!"
An earth-yellow bull's silhouette appeared behind him, carrying him high into the air above the arena before crashing down hard and fast toward Huo Wu.
Huo Wu's pupils contracted slightly as she watched Li Dabao leap high into the air. She quickly lit up her Second Soul Ring.
"Second Soul Skill, Fire Shadow Raid!"
A sharp cry escaped her lips as a fiery shadow swiftly separated from her body and ran toward the edge of the arena. In an instant, Huo Wu swapped places with her clone.
"Boom..."
Li Dabao crashed down hard at the spot Huo Wu had just swapped away from, sending dust billowing across the arena. When it cleared, the bricks where Huo Wu had stood lay shattered, leaving a broken patch of arena floor five or six meters across.
Huo Wu looked at the power of the Soul Skill, a flicker of lingering fear in her eyes. Fortunately, she had swapped places with her clone, or she would probably have been gravely injured and unable to get back up.
Before Li Dabao could react, Huo Wu gave a sharp cry and used her Second Soul Skill again. She and the fire shadow rushed at him, quickly reaching him. She controlled the clone to rake its hand viciously across his back, leaving bloody claw marks and flame burns.
"Ah, you little girl, you have no martial virtue! You actually launched a sneak attack!"
Li Dabao let out a scream and turned to glare viciously at Huo Wu.
"Hmph, you want to fight back? Did you ask me first?"
Seeing Li Dabao about to activate his First Soul Skill to protect himself, Huo Wu immediately directed her clone to attack him. At the same time, she rushed up to him and swung her fist hard at his face.
"Ah... ah...!"
Completely defenseless against the attacks from Huo Wu's Soul Skill and her own body, Li Dabao was soon gravely injured and unconscious. He fell straight to the ground.
