Ling Bai led Shrek Academy through the tournament while confronting the Body Sect and defeating Star Luo National Academy in the semifinals. With Star Luo withdrawing from the individual round, Shrek advanced directly to the finals against Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy and began preparing for the match.

• Ling Bai led the Shrek Supervisory Group against the Hand of Death Bandits, killed Death Bringer, and purified three injured teammates, while Elder Xuan later faced rebuke from Mu En over the students’ safety.
• Ling Bai spent time with Snow Empress in Star Luo City, sold the Aura Barrier to Xu Jiujiu, and returned with the Profound Fire Essence after declining the Blood Sea Heart.
• Ling Bai entered Shrek’s first elimination match alone and defeated Tianling Advanced Soul Master Academy with Myriad Bladed Unification: Blazing Emperor Slash.
• Ling Bai and Shrek’s reserve team defeated Qianling and Zhengtian, while Ning Tian helped He Caitou overcome Ye Wuqing and Blood Wolf.
• Ling Bai killed Body Sect members Da Tou and Qilin Arm, then defeated Elder Xuan and forced him to confront his guilt over the inner-court disciples who had died.
• Shrek won its round-robin matches and attended the Starlight Grand Ceremony, where Ning Tian bought the Heavenly Dragon Horse soul bone for Ling Bai and Ling Bai helped Ling Luochen absorb the Ice Jade Scorpion soul bone.
• Shrek defeated Dou Ling Royal Academy, advanced through the quarterfinals, and then beat Star Luo National Academy in the semifinal team battle after Ling Bai shattered Xu Jiujiu’s defenses.
• Star Luo withdrew from the individual round, sending Shrek directly to the finals against Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy, and Ning Tian gave Ling Bai an ancient book on Soul Ring Fusion.

After Shrek won the tournament, Ling Bai rejected Mu En’s offer to succeed him and entered the Star Dou Great Forest for a year and a half of training. He gained powerful soul rings and bones, befriended the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, and set out to meet the Tortoise Clan.

• Shrek defeated the Sun Moon team to win the tournament, and Ling Bai used his Ultimate Sacred power to remove most of Ma Xiaotao’s evil aura.
• Mu En invited Ling Bai to become his final disciple and Sea God Pavilion successor, but Ling Bai refused because of his loyalty to Ji Ren and accepted a trial in the Star Dou Great Forest.
• Ling Bai fused his soul bones into a Hundred-Thousand-Year Light Sacred Dragon right arm bone, then killed Grievous Evil Douluo and broke through to Rank 60.
• Ling Bai and his companions hunted in the Star Dou Great Forest, where Ling Bai traded the Three-Eyed Golden Lion to Scarlet King for the Hundred-Thousand-Year Sorrow Ink Stork and absorbed its soul ring.
• Ling Bai helped the Three-Eyed Golden Lion and Scarlet King survive the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger’s attack, and Di Tian rewarded him with a black dragon scale and one request.
• The Three-Eyed Golden Lion led Ling Bai to the Saint Sun Heavenly Spirit Tiger, which they killed so Ling Bai could absorb its Hundred-Thousand-Year soul ring and obtain its torso bone.
• Over the next year, Ling Bai reached Rank 67 and gained two more powerful soul bones while Di Tian arranged sparring opponents and limited the Three-Eyed Golden Lion’s hunting.
• As Ling Bai prepared to leave for Shrek, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion guided him to the Tortoise Clan’s habitat, where Ling Bai called for Golden Tortoise.

Ling Bai inherited the Rakshasa Godhood, pursued leads in the Sun Moon Empire, and reunited with Ning Tian and Wu Feng at Mingde Hall. When the Body Sect attacked, he fought his way underground, killed Chen Hu, and encountered Huo Yuhao as the battle continued.

• Ling Bai defeated Xiao Hongchen in Shrek’s exchange assessment, then took the Hongchen siblings to Jialing City and helped them kill Soul Reaper.
• Six Spirit Hall Consecrators confronted Ling Bai, but Golden Alligator Douluo recognized his ancestry and brought him to Bibi Dong, who made him the Rakshasa Godhood’s inheritor and tasked him with finding the Sacred Angel’s descendant.
• Ling Bai met Xu Jiujiu in Star Luo City and refused her marriage proposal, then visited Ning Feng Yu at Exquisite Pavilion and challenged Ji Juechen to a duel.
• Ling Bai defeated Ji Juechen with his Seven Kill Sword Intent, shattering Ji Juechen’s sword, and later watched Ning Tian and Wu Feng pass Mingde Hall’s entrance examination.
• Lin Jiaran brought Ning Tian and Wu Feng into Mingde Hall, where an explosion and a Body Sect assault killed and injured Soul Engineers.
• Ling Bai arrived on the Death Prison Bone Dragon, helped defend Mingde Hall, and followed the Blood Sea Heart’s scent underground as Chen Hu stole the Ninth Level blueprints.
• Ling Bai killed Chen Hu, took his possessions and the blueprints, then headed toward Underground Heart No. 2 and encountered Huo Yuhao.

Ling Bai grew stronger, gathered allies, and fought the forces threatening Exquisite Pavilion and the Valley of Life. He infiltrated the Holy Spirit Cult as Death Prison Douluo, strengthened the Bone Dragon King, and left a clone behind while heading back to the valley.

• Ling Bai defeated Sun Moon Soul Engineer Academy challengers, won the Sword of Judgment, and fused Snow Empress’s Ultimate Ice and Ultimate Fire powers while gaining new abilities from the Blood Sea Heart.
• Ling Bai killed Ancient Demon Douluo, Death Knight Douluo, and Undead Knight Douluo, then helped Ning Feng Yu defeat Shangguan Wei'er and the Ordinary Alliance.
• Ling Bai and Ning Tian began a relationship, while Wu Feng confessed her love for both of them and became intimate with Ling Bai.
• Ling Bai rescued Nana and former Holy Servants from the Holy Spirit Cult, then saved Ye Guyi from Wraith Douluo and brought her to Exquisite Pavilion.
• Ling Bai and Ning Feng Yu helped Ning Tian and Wu Feng gain soul rings in the Valley of Life, where Ling Bai defeated Demon Eye Evil Tree and Ning Feng Yu absorbed the Blue Silver Emperor’s sacrifice.
• Lin Jiaran revealed that she knew Ling Bai was Death Prison Douluo, joined his plans, and received resources and stolen Mingde Hall blueprints to establish Blood-colored Dawn.
• Ling Bai infiltrated the Holy Spirit Cult, defeated Zhang Peng, became an offering, and agreed to improve the Bone Dragon King in exchange for rare resources and treasures.
• Ling Bai and Electrolux secretly strengthened the Bone Dragon King, and Ling Bai took treasures from the Holy Spirit Vault before sending a Spider Emperor Clone to impersonate him and departing for the Valley of Life.
