A massive outline suddenly rose from the swirling shadows of the ground.

The grayish-white elephant's body rose from the depths of the shadows, like a moving mountain of flesh emerging from the earth.

With a shoulder height approaching four meters and a body length exceeding six meters, its limbs are as thick as the trunk of a century-old tree, and each step it takes causes the gravel ground to crack with spiderweb-like patterns.

Two tusks curved out from either side of the elephant's trunk, gleaming with a cold, grayish-white luster, their tips as sharp as knives, and their length comparable to an adult's arm.

The elephant's trunk drooped to the ground, thick as a python, with a slightly curled end, and each breath brought up a gust of air carrying dust.

Max Elephant's eyes were bloodshot, and there was no trace of docile docility in his pupils, only the ferocious killing intent of a wild beast that had been forcibly dragged into an unfamiliar battlefield.

It raised its head and let out a deafening roar.

Boom--!

The sound waves rolled out in all directions like an invisible wall.

Everyone present felt a sharp pain in their eardrums. Several Dawn Society soldiers who were nearby were so shocked that they fell to the ground, covering their ears with their hands, their faces filled with terror.

Nubia's pupils contracted sharply.

He stood less than ten meters directly in front of the Max Elephant, his body still enveloped in golden flames, his Enhancement Nen energy so dense it was almost viscous. Yet, the oppressive aura of the giant elephant still penetrated his Nen protective layer, like a bucket of ice water poured down his spine.

What's this?

His mind raced.

Jiang Ye had summoned a giant dog, Toad, and that strange bird before, and now he's summoned an elephant.

There are four now.

A twelve-year-old refugee possesses four different forms of Nen Beast.

Nubia has served in the Elders' Guard for many years and has seen at least a hundred Nen user, but he has never heard of anyone who can control four Nen Beast at once.

Not to mention that these four Nen Beast have completely different attributes, sizes, and fighting styles.

The giant dog bites at close range, the Toad controls from a distance, the strange bird suppresses from the air, and this elephant—just by looking at its size, you can tell it's a pure positional crushing type.

"Impossible."

Nubia gritted his teeth, golden flames surging on his fist.

"It's impossible for one person to maintain four Nen Beast at the same time!"

He certainly didn't know the rules of the Ten Shadows Technique.

At this moment, Jiang Ye only has two Shikigami, Nue and Toad. Divine Dogs has already been withdrawn to the Shadow Space to recharge, Max Elephant is the third one that was forcibly summoned.

Due to the limitations of the Ten Shadows Technique, only a maximum of two Shikigami can be present at the same time.

But Max Elephant is an exception.

To be precise, the Max Elephant have not yet been subdued.

One of the Ten Shadows Technique is an ironclad rule: a sorcerer can summon an untamed Shikigami, but once the ritual is initiated, the Shikigami will indiscriminately attack all living things within range, including the sorcerer himself.

In other words, Max Elephant was currently unable to distinguish between friend and foe.

It stood in the center of the battlefield, its crimson eyes scanning its surroundings, two plumes of white mist emanating from its nostrils, its forehooves pawing the ground, sending stones flying.

It didn't even look at Jiang Ye, nor at Nubia; its crimson eyes held only one thing.

Murderous intent.

The desire to kill all living things.

Jiang Ye stood ten meters behind the Max Elephant, his hands still in the elephant head hand shadow pose, fine beads of cold sweat seeping from his forehead.

He was certainly aware of the threat posed by the Max Elephant.

In this elephant's attack priority, the closest target is itself.

"Don't move!"

Jiang Ye suddenly roared, his voice piercing through the aftershocks of the elephant's cry.

"Whoever touches it will be attacked!"

This was said to everyone, including his own people.

Upon hearing this shout from behind the fortifications, Iron Wall froze reflexively.

He had already half-squatted up, ready to rush over and help Jiang Ye in the chaos, but upon hearing this shout, he abruptly pulled his leg back.

Shattered Eye and Bago also stopped moving at the same time. The three of them lay down behind cover and watched helplessly as the giant elephant stood in the center of the battlefield, like a battering ram out of control.

The next moment, the Max Elephant moved.

It didn't charge at Jiang Ye, nor at Nubia, but instead tilted its head and aimed at the nearest group of Dawn Society Soldiers.

The soldiers had originally followed the three flag bearers to flank the elephant from the side, and were only seven or eight meters away from Max Elephant. At this moment, they were still in their charging posture, and had no idea where this giant beast had come from.

The Max Elephant suddenly raised its front hooves and swept its trunk horizontally.

The thick, powerful trunk lashed out at the center of the crowd, sending three Dawn Society soldiers flying like stones launched from a catapult. Their ribs shattered into powder the moment of impact, blood gushing from their mouths and noses, and they died mid-air.

The other two were grazed by the edge of the elephant's trunk, flying sideways and crashing into a pile of scrap metal. The metal was dented, and their human figures were embedded half an inch deep. They slid to the ground, motionless.

The remaining people finally realized what was happening and scattered in screams.

But the Max Elephant did not stop.

With its four hooves out, its massive body charged forward at a speed completely disproportionate to its size, catching up with the slowest soldier in just two steps, and flicking its tusks upwards.

The soldier was thrown five or six meters into the air, tumbling down and crashing onto a pile of rubble. The crisp sound of his bones breaking could be clearly heard on the battlefield.

Nubia's expression changed completely.

He didn't care about the lives of ordinary soldiers, but the elephant's attack logic was all too clear: it was simply killing, killing everything that could move within its field of vision.

After it finishes killing those stragglers, it will be its next target.

"Standard bearer!"

Nubia turned sharply and roared at the three flag bearers.

Forget about Jiang Ye! Stop this beast first!

The three flag bearers looked at each other in bewilderment.

The flag bearer of the Transmutation was already poised to unleash wind blades, the Conjuration his hands on the ground and the earthen-yellow barrier was only half-conjured, and the Manipulation had Nen threads wrapped around his fingers. The three of them were preparing to encircle Jiang Ye, but the sudden appearance of this giant elephant disrupted their entire rhythm.

But they dared not disobey Nubia's orders.

The Wind Blade Flag Bearer was the first to act, pushing with both hands, sending dozens of wind blades spinning and slicing towards the Max Elephant's flank.

The Max Elephant didn't dodge at all.
