Chapter 42
Fu Yuhe's tone was hostile. "None of your business."
Shen Yi lowered his eyes, looking a little dejected. "Oh."
Fu Yuhe felt like a scumbag who pulled on his pants and refused to acknowledge the person he'd slept with-except he hadn't even put them on yet.
He silently shook off the lingering embarrassment from earlier and turned the subject to Shen Yi. "Never done it yourself?"
"I've touched myself," Shen Yi said. "Didn't feel anything."
Fu Yuhe scoffed. "You call that not feeling anything..."
Shen Yi's reactions were very inexperienced, but that inexperience happened to be a real turn-on.
Speaking of it reminded him of how wild Shen Yi had been just now, panting with the corners of his eyes red. The smile on his lips froze, and he fell silent.
Shen Yi leaned closer. "Ge, what do cigarettes taste like?"
"Want to know?" Fu Yuhe took the cigarette from his lips, blew a smoke ring, and held it to Shen Yi's mouth. "Try it."
Shen Yi didn't take it. Instead, he leaned forward along Fu Yuhe's hand, lowered his eyes, parted his lips, and obediently "tried it." His lips brushed the pad of Fu Yuhe's finger, and the soft touch sent a tingle through it.
Shen Yi's lowered lashes cast shadows on his lower eyelids. Fu Yuhe resisted the urge to press on his lips and murmured coaxingly in a husky voice, "Take a drag. Don't choke."
The scarlet tip of the cigarette flickered as Fu Yuhe took his hand away. "Blow it out."
Amid the curling smoke, Shen Yi's lips looked very red. They were beautifully shaped, with slightly upturned corners-a naturally smiling mouth. His features together made him look sunny and handsome, but his eyes alone were sharp and aggressive.
He parted his lips and blew out the last of the smoke, then ran the tip of his tongue over his lower lip. Frowning slightly, he said, "It's a little bitter."
"Is it?" Fu Yuhe raised a hand to the back of his head and pulled him into a kiss. His wet, soft tongue swept around Shen Yi's mouth before he pulled back and chuckled suggestively. "Why does it taste sweet to me?"
Fu Yuhe was deliberately seducing him. When Shen Yi followed after him, he pushed against his chest to hold him back, then leaned against the headboard and put the cigarette Shen Yi had held between his lips into his own mouth. "It's time we settled our accounts."
Shen Yi was puzzled. "What accounts?"
Fu Yuhe: "Did you get a girlfriend at school?"
Shen Yi: "No."
Fu Yuhe: "Don't lie to me."
"I'm not lying to you," Shen Yi said. "I gave you my first kiss, and it's true that I don't have a girlfriend."
On reflection, Fu Yuhe knew Shen Yi couldn't have found someone else so quickly. Things weren't settled between them yet, and Shen Yi could forget about settling them. Once some things had begun, ending them wasn't so simple.
They had done what they should, and more than half of what they shouldn't. Helping each other out had been thrilling enough for Fu Yuhe, but now he was thinking about something else.
Shen Yi seemed to prefer taking the lead, but he still needed Fu Yuhe to teach him.
Did that mean Fu Yuhe had to train Shen Yi himself to take the lead?
"Ge, is there anything else you want to ask?" Shen Yi's voice interrupted him. "You seem to need my help."
Fu Yuhe: "..."
He bent his leg, skipping over the second half of what Shen Yi had said. "If I ask, will you tell me?"
Shen Yi tilted his head and smiled. "Yes."
Fu Yuhe: "What about the love letter?"
So he really did care about it.
Shen Yi: "I gave it back."
Fu Yuhe made no attempt to hide his suspicion. "Really?"
Shen Yi: "Ge, if you wrote me a love letter, I'd treasure it."
Fu Yuhe: "..."
Fu Yuhe: "Why would I write you a love letter?"
Shen Yi: "I'm just supposing."
"That supposition will never come true," Fu Yuhe said.
Shen Yi counted on his fingers. "You promised me two conditions."
Fu Yuhe: "..."
He hadn't expected Shen Yi to remember that even now.
"You want me to write a love letter?" He frowned. He had never even considered doing something so mushy.
Shen Yi wagged his index finger. "No, I'm just reminding you, so you don't forget later, ge."
He braced both hands behind him, leaned back, and looked up at the ceiling, his tone cheerful. "I have to save them for things I'm really looking forward to."
Chapter 20: Secretly kissing you
So a love letter wasn't what he was looking forward to most?
Fu Yuhe soaked in the bathtub, the tops of his thighs a little red. He closed his eyes and leaned back, recalling the expression on Shen Yi's face when he'd said those words, like a child full of anticipation, innocent and exuberant.
The fire in his heart had died down, and what he wanted had become much clearer-he couldn't stand seeing Shen Yi with another girl.
After his bath, Fu Yuhe got dressed and poured himself a glass of water. On the way back, he ran into Fu Cheng, who had just come home and was standing outside his door, about to knock. Fu Yuhe called out to him and walked over.
"Ge." Fu Cheng lowered his hand and turned to face him.
Fu Yuhe: "What is it?"
"I..." Fu Cheng's eyes wandered, his gaze shifting uncertainly.
Fu Yuhe: "Speak."
Fu Cheng handed his phone to Fu Yuhe. "Second aunt contacted me. She said she wants to see you."
Fu Yuhe took his phone. There was a message on it.
[Xiao Cheng, please help your second aunt. Your brother's so busy now that I can't even see him. I really don't know what else to do. You remember your older cousin, don't you? He used to take you out to play all the time when you were little...]
The message mixed soft appeals with pressure, playing on Fu Cheng's family ties. Fu Cheng was softhearted, so naturally he couldn't make up his mind, but he hadn't forgotten what had happened back then, either.
"I don't know what second aunt wants, and I haven't replied to her yet," Fu Cheng said.
