A week later, Su Ming arrived at the Rift Research Center near the Diamond Base in the First Sunrise Republic.

This is the vital link between Taya and Earth.

The camp built around the "Plane Boundary Nexus" was several times larger than the original one. The outer side was heavily guarded, and the inner side was filled with defensive magic arrays.

Upon seeing Su Ming's figure, Zhifo's eyes lit up, and he quickly flew out of the research workshop, ready to bask in Magic Power.

Qiluo, standing beside Su Ming, also brightened up.

"Wow, a forest fairy! I haven't seen one in ages!"

The unicorn trotted and trotted towards Zhifo.

The forest fairy was so frightened that its wings almost got tangled, and it swayed as it quickly took flight.

A flash of white light appeared on Qiluo's body, and she reverted to her unicorn form. A pair of magical wings unfurled on her back, trailing tiny specks of light as she chased after the clouds, just like someone chasing Butterfly.

The campsite suddenly became quite chaotic.

Chloe watched the two shadows, one large and one small, fly overhead, her expression subtle.

"Ghostly Flower refused to take Qiluo back, and then Qiluo insisted on going with you?" Su Ming rubbed his temples and sighed.

"No, Qiluo plans to travel around."

"I didn't dare leave her alone, so I had to keep her by my side for now."

"So now you're the babysitter," Chloe said, covering her mouth with a laugh.

"I always feel that Ghostly Flower is acting strangely," Su Ming said. "Normally, if you heard that your daughter was in danger, shouldn't you keep her at home for a while?"

"Perhaps the unicorn race values free-range breeding?" Chloe guessed.

Who knows?

As the two were talking, they arrived at the edge of a magic circle.

It wasn't drawn directly on the ground, but rather pieced together from sections of pried-up building flooring. This was the Plundering Clock Guiding Array that Su Ming had arranged to bring back from the Sea-Hued Grand Feast.

Chloe reached out and beckoned, and the serpentine crystal that had been floating at the center of the formation flew over.

Su Ming glanced at it and noticed something was wrong. The crystal in Chloe's hand was much dimmer in color and had a much rougher texture than the one he had seized.

"You copied it?"

"Right."

Chloe handed the crystal to Su Ming, "We need to continue researching the prototype crystal; we can't use it for consumption."

Su Ming weighed it in his hand.

The counterfeit products have a similar weight, but the Magic Power feedback they provide is scattered, as if air is leaking out from all sides.

"So you plan to use this to intercept the supplies Eden is sending?"

"Yes," Chloe replied, "Now we face two problems."

She unfolded the map and pointed to the location of Water Chestnut Island.
