The Fall of Red Skull

Alex had originally planned to charge in and destroy the plane and all the missiles on it. However, upon seeing the figure inside the window, Alex realized he couldn't do it alone and had to give up.

Teleporting back to the camp, Alex found the Howling Commandos fully armed and on high alert.

Seeing Alex appear, Steve hurried over and asked, "Alex, how did it go?"

"I found the way!" Alex said, putting on the uniform and weapons Carter handed him. He then turned to the others and warned, "Once we're inside, immediately enter combat mode. Don't let your guard down for a second!"

The others, accustomed to Alex's teleportation and immediate combat readiness afterward, all nodded with relaxed expressions.

"Alright, let's go!" Alex called out softly, his psionic power spreading to envelop everyone. Teleportation activated, and they vanished from the camp.

They reappeared inside the Hydra base, in the spacious room with the independent window.

Faced with the sudden appearance of six people, the Hydra soldiers were momentarily stunned, but Red Skull reacted immediately. To their surprise, Red Skull didn't engage them in a fight but turned and fled.

Red Skull's reaction was also unexpected by Alex and the others. Facing the surging Hydra soldiers, Steve threw his shield, knocking down a soldier, and turned to Alex, "Go after him, we'll handle this!"

Alex had initially intended to stay close to Steve, guarding against any danger. Hearing Steve say this, he hesitated for a moment. But then he thought that if he went after Red Skull, Steve should be safe.

Having figured it out, Alex no longer delayed. Teleportation activated instantly, and he quickly pursued the direction Red Skull had taken. However, the base's corridors twisted and turned, with many sharp bends that severely limited the effectiveness of teleportation. Hydra soldiers also occasionally rushed out. After pursuing for a while, Alex actually lost Red Skull.

Muttering a curse under his breath, Alex gave up searching inside the base and decided to wait outside.

While searching for the window, Alex had discovered an aircraft runway built on a cliff. Without a doubt, this runway was for that massive bat-winged aircraft. After losing Red Skull's trail, Alex decisively chose to wait for Red Skull to appear here.

However, before that, Alex needed to send Steve and the others back. He could handle the upcoming fight alone. But when Alex returned to the room they had entered, Steve and the others were nowhere to be found!

"FUCK!" Alex cursed, forced to abandon his plan for the moment and return to the runway on the cliff.

As soon as Alex returned, the sealed gate at the end of the runway opened, and a massive bat-winged aircraft rushed out.

Teleporting, Alex appeared directly at the front of the aircraft. There was a transparent area here, offering a clear view of Red Skull sitting in the cockpit. Alex planned to deal with Red Skull first before destroying the missiles at the tail of the plane.

However, Alex didn't notice that a speeding car had rushed out of the gate right behind the plane. Four people were in the car – Steve and the other three!

It turned out that shortly after Alex had pursued, they had also dealt with the Hydra soldiers in the room and followed. Alex had gotten lost while chasing, but Steve and the others, with Logan, had followed Red Skull's scent all the way to the tarmac.

Seeing Alex suddenly appear before him, Red Skull was clearly startled. He quickly jumped out of the cockpit, grabbed an energy gun from nearby, and cautiously took a defensive stance.

Alex instantly appeared behind Red Skull, his dagger swiftly slicing across his arm. He then kicked high, aiming for Red Skull's wrist.

Although Red Skull had only been injected with an incomplete Super Soldier Serum, his agility and combat skills were no less than Alex's. He raised his hand to block Alex's wrist, twisted, and with a sharp pain, Alex involuntarily loosened his grip, and the dagger fell to the ground.

Red Skull had knocked away Alex's dagger, but Alex wasn't disappointed. He kicked the gun out of Red Skull's hand with his leg.

The first round ended with neither of them gaining an advantage.

Worried about the missiles at the tail of the plane, Alex didn't delay any further. He left the plane with Red Skull, who was still struggling. After the battle on the train last time, Alex found this tactic to be quite effective, so he didn't hesitate to use it again when dealing with Red Skull.

Red Skull was completely unprepared at first. It wasn't until Alex pulled him out of the plane that he realized something was wrong. He held onto Alex's hand even tighter, his fingers almost digging into the flesh.

Alex, however, had been prepared. For this, he had specifically sought out Strucker again and obtained some Death Spores, waiting for this very moment.

The Death Spores virus could cause those infected to become weak, suffer unbearable pain, or even die. However, it clearly couldn't kill Red Skull. The Death Spores virus was ineffective against superhumans. Red Skull had only been injected with an incomplete Super Soldier Serum, so he wasn't a true superhuman yet. Therefore, the Death Spores virus would have some effect on him.

Alex didn't expect the Death Spores to kill Red Skull. He only hoped it would temporarily incapacitate him, making him weak and powerless. This way, Alex could easily break free from Red Skull's grasp and let him fall to his death!

Watching Red Skull's rapidly descending body, Alex chuckled softly. He quickly returned to the plane and was about to head to the tail when his gaze suddenly fell upon the machine in the center of the plane. A brilliant blue light emanated from the center of the machine – the Tesseract was inside!

"It's better if I keep such an important item," Alex thought. He reached out, took the Tesseract, and placed it in a nearby box. He then hid it in his Brooklyn apartment before returning to the plane and running towards the tail.

Halfway there, Alex heard a few familiar voices.

"Steve? What are you guys doing here?" Alex was very surprised to see Steve and the others emerge.

Steve smiled slightly upon seeing Alex and pointed behind him, saying, "We've dealt with them. Where's Red Skull?"

"He probably fell to his death!" Alex wasn't sure if Red Skull was dead. Time was short, and he hadn't had a chance to check.

Nick moved past Alex and strode to the plane's cockpit. Looking at the rows of buttons in front of him, he turned to Alex and asked expectantly, "Can this thing still fly?"

Alex shook his head. "It probably can't fly anymore!" The plane's power source was the Tesseract. With the Tesseract removed, it was unlikely the plane could still fly.

"So, what now? Wait for it to crash naturally?" Nick surveyed their surroundings with a look of regret.

"I'll take you back first!" The threat of a natural crash was significant. Alex needed to sink it into the sea, just like in the movies. "Then, I'll send it into the sea!"
