Emma first appears as a dancer in a Las Vegas bar working with Sebastian Shaw. She uses telepathic influence and her allure to draw Alex away from his search, then attempts to search his mind for the Tesseract on Shaw’s orders. Alex’s mind proves too powerful; her intrusion triggers a citywide psychic storm that engulfs her as well. 67 68

After the incident, Emma and Alex are stranded together in a prehistoric wilderness.
