"What... what was that?"
The wizard watching the battle spoke with uncertainty in his voice.
"Was that Magic Armor?"
The wizard beside him shook his head. He had not seen clearly. The Crystal Ball was only a broadcast, after all; many details were surely not as clear as seeing them in person.
The wizards turned their eyes toward Gerald. He was smugly stroking his beard, casting a sidelong glance at Aijon beside him.
"Aijon, why have you gone quiet?"
The Soul Fire in Aijon's eye sockets flared violently, and a powerful wave of magical power burst from him in an instant.
But everyone present was a wizard. Such a small fluctuation of magical power did nothing except let the other wizards know that Aijon was not in a calm mood.
"Gerald, what exactly was that thing?" a wizard asked.
Without being at the scene, and relying solely on the Crystal Ball's broadcast, none of the wizards present could see what had happened clearly, save for those whose eyes had been modified.
"Ahem, that was a kind of Magic Armor researched by my apprentice. You have all seen its effects. As for the specifics, I will not disclose them."
Gerald's explanation was a perfect illustration of nonsense literature, drawing a chorus of boos from the wizards.
Still, everyone understood that aside from Magic Armor sold to the public, no true Alchemist Wizard would reveal information about the Magic Armor they used themselves. Yet some wizards who knew of the Joseph incident from several years ago had already formed a few guesses.
