Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary Fire Lizard | 212 | Most possess dormant Dragon Blood. Without bloodline activation, their natural limit is generally Level One. |
| Iron Horn Dragon Warrior | 212 | Fully awakened Dragon Blood causes two Dragon Horns to grow; this automatically grants the lowest noble status. |
| Level One Fire Lizard Warrior | 225 | Common Fire Lizards can reach this level without activating their Dragon Blood. |
| Silver Horn Noble / Level Two Creature | 225 | Descended from a Third-Level ancestor; permanently active inherited Dragon Blood lets them reach Level Two even without training. |
| Imperial Dragon Warrior / elite Level Two Creature | 216 217 | Golden-masked elite troops with close coordination, spiritual disguise, and strength sufficient to threaten First-Ring Wizards. |
| Peak Level Three | 228 | Native Fire Lizards require this level to ignore the Crimson Sun World’s violent magma. |
| Fire Lizard King / Fifth-Level Creature | 247 266 | A king is regarded as an incarnation of the sun. Dragon blood’s life level rises with each additional dragon head; five heads signify the fifth level. |
Appearance
Fire Lizards are humanoid reptilian beings, generally standing between two and three meters tall. Their bodies are adapted to the Crimson Sun World’s dense Fire Elements and extreme heat. 213
- Fiery-red scales cover the body; the scales can possess a glazed sheen and faint red glow. 218
- Their musculature is notably symmetrical and proportioned beneath their scales. 218
- Awakened nobles grow two Dragon Horns. 212
- Elite Imperial Dragon Warriors wear golden masks; some carry dark-gold scimitars. 216
- Sacred Guards can reach nearly four meters in height when equipped with Sacred Armor. 236
Biology
Dragon Bloodline
Fire Lizard combat power originates from the Dragon Blood buried within their bodies. Bloodline awakening creates Dragon Horns and forms the basis of their hereditary noble system. 212
- Fire Lizard blood can be refined into Pure Dragon Blood, despite lacking the corrosiveness normally associated with Dragon Bloodlines. 218
- A gland within Fire Lizards produces a substance that suppresses dragon-blood expression. Stronger Fire Lizards possess more of this suppressive substance. 253
- Removing the gland triggers dragonization traits but also causes rapid cellular collapse in ordinary Fire Lizards, warriors, and Imperial Dragon Warriors. 253
- Their bloodline grants substantial heat resistance, but only peak Level Three individuals can safely disregard the world’s magma. 228
Fire-Element Adaptation
The Crimson Sun World’s extreme Fire Element concentration is naturally suited to Fire Lizards, though it enhances hostile Fire Element attacks as well. 213 214
- Typical combatants have an estimated constitution of roughly seventy and can produce Fire Elemental Damage comparable to Dragon Breath. 213
- Mature nobles can absorb Fire Elements through breathing, feeding them into their bloodlines to strengthen their physiques. 212
- Fire Lizard civilians use abundant Fire Element Gems as decorations. 218
Healing and Physique
Fire Lizards possess resilient bodies and recover effectively from injuries.
- A captured Fire Lizard’s wounds healed while unconscious under the World Mushroom’s treatment. 218
- Modified Fire Lizard soldiers can stabilize severe injuries through enhanced recovery and biological protective plates. 442
- After modification, a Fire Lizard Warrior’s internal organs could survive spell impacts that left its exterior charred. 455
Abilities & Skills
Fire Lizard Breath
Fire Lizard breath is a high-energy fire attack derived from their dragon bloodline. 213
- Its Energy Level is considered comparatively high even among Fire Lizard combat abilities. 213
- The Crimson Sun World’s Three Suns rule increases the power of Fire Elemental Magic by 20%. 213
Curse-Word Abilities
Certain psychic evolvers can invoke ancient syllables to generate abnormal crimson flames. 214
- A Gold-Robed Fire Lizard’s barrier withstood at least 4,000 Energy Levels of lightning. 214
- Its curse flame incinerated a wizard’s remaining physical body and attempted to burn the wizard’s elemental body. 214
- These abilities required dedicated countermeasures from the wizard command structure. 214
Spiritual Disguise
Imperial Dragon Warriors can evade conventional spiritual detection. 217
- They vanish into surrounding structures and become undetectable to spiritual sweeps. 217
- Their tactics combine stealth, Level Two physical strength, and coordinated squad attacks. 217
Dragon Alchemy
Fire Lizards preserve an alchemical tradition based on dragon blood, extraordinary metals, and Dragon Language-derived technology.
- Their artisans create alchemical weapons, armor, Dragon Beast breeding formulas, and long-range vessels. 227 257 271
- Their greatbows and arrows can be products of Dragon Alchemy. 227
- Fire Lizard Alchemy Masters later combined Dragon Alchemy with Wizard Alchemy under Richard’s direction. 271 280
- Carrion and Sulina became leading artisans in Richard’s service, though Richard surpassed them in several fields. 379
Equipment and Technology
- Dragon Breath Cannons — Heavy weapons fielded against wizard forces; protected by barriers and Fire Lizard defenders. 214
- Dragon Alchemy greatbows — Man-sized black bows with golden patterns, used by mounted patrols. 227
- Blackgold Scimitar — A weapon used by Azuhan during the New World confrontation. 272
- Sacred Armor — Precursor relic armor with extreme magic resistance, target detection, interference systems, and combat modes. Its operators understand only fragments of its Dragon Language interface. 235 236
- Dragon Beast breeding craft — Formulas used to create mounts and other Dragon Beasts with specialized traits. 257
- Long-range vessel — A shuttle-shaped craft powered by Fire Element Gems and Alchemy Engines, capable of flying just above the Lava Sea on Blue Flame propulsion. 271
- Fireball Guns — Regiment weapons with pistol grips, revolving casting components, and trumpet-shaped barrels that marginally accelerate casting. 379
- Artisan Type I Personal Armor — Fire Lizard-made armor that improves movement and gives trained wearers a chance against ordinary First-Ring Wizards. 366
Society
Nobility
Fire Lizard nobility is formally defined by Dragon Blood awakening and the growth of Dragon Horns. 212
- Iron Horn Dragon Warriors are the lowest-ranked nobles. 212
- Silver Horn Nobles descend from Third-Level ancestors and are regarded as the strongest and most honored noble group. 225
- Nobles publicly claim bloodline awakening is innate, though many noble ancestors actually awakened later in life. 212
- The nobility suppresses this fact to preserve its status and superiority over common Fire Lizards. 212
Civilian Life and Oppression
Long wars forced the Fire Lizard Empires to impose extreme taxes and maintain large military expenditures. 241
- In some regions, civilians were required to surrender 70% of their annual income. 242
- Many civilians attempted illegal crossings into wizard-controlled territory rather than remain under imperial taxation. 242
- Uprisings spread across all three empires as taxes and official corruption intensified. 241 242
- Ordinary Fire Lizards in wizard territory could sometimes live better than those under their own empire, despite the wizards’ campaign of conquest. 241
History
The Fire Lizards were formerly slaves of dragons in the Crimson Sun World. Their first king rose after obtaining a drop of crimson blood from a strange Fire Element Gem, rapidly advancing through successive life levels and leading the Fire Lizards’ rebellion against the dragons. 235 266
During the wizard expedition, the Fire Lizard armies relied on Dragon Beast Knights, Corpse Dragon Legions, Imperial Dragon Warriors, and Sacred Guards armed with Precursor relics. Their resistance was ultimately overwhelmed by the White and Black Wizard forces. 214 235 236
The fall of the three empires led to widespread enslavement, guerrilla resistance, and mass suicide among defeated Fire Lizards. Harash led the Yajilite Mountains rebels in a final battle that killed 1,572 wizards, but every Fire Lizard combatant died. 256 268
Azuhan’s Kindling Plan sent survivors across the Lava Sea to preserve the race in the New World. Richard later found the survivors, compelled many to enter Soul Contracts, and incorporated Fire Lizard artisans, workers, and soldiers into his growing organization. 259 271 273 279
Fire Lizard Regiment
Richard organized 500 Fire Lizards into a regiment under Makal’s instruction. 369
- The regiment was equipped with basic weapons and armor before later receiving Fireball Guns, air purifiers, and specialized armor upgrades. 369 379
- Richard intended to temporarily employ the regiment as a White Wizard Legion; 500 members could create a Fire Elemental storm through two concentrated rounds of spellfire. 379
- After years of fighting in the Green Forest World, more than half the regiment had died; 132 members remained. 409
- Nearly 100 survivors had become Second-Level Fire Lizards, while the First Company Commander reached Level Three. 409
- Several soldiers developed rudimentary spellcasting ability. 409
- When offered the choice to return to the Crimson Sun World as instructors or continue serving Richard, every survivor chose to remain. 409
Modifications
Richard commissioned six combat modifications for Fire Lizard soldiers, balancing battlefield effectiveness against reduced lifespan. 442
- Muscle enhancement — Improves power, speed, and agility.
- Neural reaction enhancement — Accelerates reactions and concentration.
- Enhanced self-healing — Stops bleeding and stabilizes severe trauma.
- Sight, smell, and hearing modification — Provides dynamic vision, broader smell detection, and wider sound-wave reception.
- Biological metal protective plates — Reinforce bones and protect internal organs.
- Dragon Wing Modification — Improves mobility and terrain adaptability.
A modified Second-Level Fire Lizard could withstand piercing spells near 1,000 Energy Levels and judged himself capable of defeating three of his unmodified selves. 442
Notable Fire Lizards
- Morik — Fire Lizard King and first Lord of the World of the tribe; a Fifth-Level creature who later fled the Crimson Sun World with a tracking mark placed on him. 266
- Harash — Former marshal of the Morik Empire; commanded the Yajilite Mountains’ final battle. 268
- Azuhan — Harash’s son and leader of the Kindling Plan; eventually accepted Richard’s Soul Contract for the survival of his people. 268 279
- Akara — Azuhan’s wife; accepted Richard’s dominance and helped lead the New World Fire Lizards into contract service. 273 278
- Carrion — Fire Lizard Alchemy Master who became a core artisan in Richard’s alchemy workshop. 263 265
- Crawly — A young Fire Lizard with exceptional Dragon Alchemy talent and unusually muted emotional responses. 242 261 262
- Makal — Fire Lizard who accepted service under Richard and later trained the Fire Lizard Regiment. 272 369
