This is a well-written cozy novel about a recently divorced and devoted father. While he does acquire a system that gives him an unfair advantage in cooking, it's clear he didn't necessarily need it. Before his one-night stand with a wealthy female CEO (his ex-wife), he had a great job and made good money. He chose to stop working to raise their child, as his ex-wife's only contribution to parenting was financial support. In other words, this is not a rags-to-riches story.
One aspect I really enjoyed is the author's skillful use of show, don't tell. The protagonist's feelings toward his ex-wife are rarely stated outright.

Initially, I thought he held some lingering affection for her. However, in Chapter 85, when his ex-wife asks him to cook a signature dish to secure an investment deal, he agrees—on the condition that she buys him a car worth roughly $45, 000. This moment added depth to his character, showing that he's not a flawless "Gary Sue." He's neither seeking revenge nor pandering to his ex.

This is not a revenge story or a harem (at least so far). It's a heartwarming tale about a father catching a lucky break to ensure his precious daughter can live her best life.
The romance element is a slow burn, as the ex-wife has only recently started to regret her lack of involvement in both their marriage and child's life.
