Really great novel but personally didn't like the inclusion of devil fruits being rewarded by the system so have stopped reading as of chapter 106.
The biginning feels like its missing chapters ot information but after that its good, currenly on ch 1300+
Like I said it’s good specially his growth is near slow or fast it’s basically going right direction and it doesn’t follow plot story it’s first goes to same East academy but MC and Xiaoyan go to Sun and Moon academy instead Shrek , and love interest is going great with Xiaoyan , Naer, and Mu Xi and he has complex relationships with Gu Yue
A typical overpowered protagonist story, although unlike some cold, power hungry MC's in the genre Chen Mo walks a good balance. Paying back kindness with kindness and enmity with violence. It's nice that he has some bonds and prioritizes some people. Ths final arc of the story and the ending however are... rushed and leave things unresolved which brings the entire story down a notch. 6/10
good novel with mc living and continuing through multiple lifetimes, i like.
I initially read this some years ago on google translate till 70-80chap. Re-reading as it’s a very good sasuke self insert fanfic. One of the best.
1likeHonestly, I think that this is the most neutral story I have read on this Site, it’s not bad. No certainly not bad and it CAN be good at points but at no point in time could you call this Story Great.
The biggest thing that drags it down in my opinion, is that all the Author seems to be able to do is copy things.
Xiao Yan gets Heavenly Flames, Mo Yu gets Mysterious Thunders.
Xiao Yan is a Descendant of the Xiao Clan, Mo Yu is a descendant of the Lei Clan.
Xiao Yan gets Venerable Yao Chens Soul Body, Mo Yu gets Venerable Uncle She’s Soul Body.
Xiao Yan becomes an Alchemist, Mo Yu becomes an Artificer.
Xiao Yan requires Materials, a Fire and A Cauldron to refine Pills, What a Coincidence Mo Yu also requires those to refine weapons.
Xiao Yan attends the Pill Gathering, Mo Yu has the Artificer’s Competition.
Xiao Yan’s Pill Gathering was infiltrated and he and the person who infiltrated the Pill Gathering both manage to produce 8th Tier Pills but Xiao Yan’s just happens to be slightly better, How strange that’s exactly what happens in the Artificers Competition as well.
7th Tier Alchemy produces Pill Lightning, 7th Tier Artificing produces Artifact Lightning ( Because that is SO different ).
8th Tier Alchemy produces Coloured Lightning, What a coincidence so does 8th Tier Artifacts.I think you get where I am going, so much of this is just a Carbon copy of Xiao Yan’s journey that it feels very samey and boring, but at the same time the Author does make Mo Yu’s journey just different enough to make me continue reading.
But once they leave the Dou Qi Continent and travel to the Great Thousand Worlds, it gets a lot better and it stops being so repetitive, although at points it really feels like the Author wants to finish up this story as he rushes through plot points, forgets entire characters and just ignores some enemies that Mo Yu made that will never be addressed.
Compared to the slow and deep nature of the first half of the Story, the second half feels like it is rushing to completion and in my opinion it really suffers for that, it stops being personal and feels quite bland and boring.
It’d be nice if it were translated better; it gets easier after a while.
Translated from French1 replyHonestly I haven’t gotten very far here but while I admit to be somewhat enjoying the story there is some retarded ass stupid shit it’s honestly taking away from it. A few examples are there somehow being an alchemist guild in fucking Wutan city and jia xingtian somehow magically showing up in the magical beast mountain because “he sensed some Dou qi fluctuations” like bro you are so fucking far away no way in hell that is happening.
then its a source issue bro, I couldn't find a better source than current one. If you do the please raise report novel issue with the link.
Damn, this novel is great. Unless one mentions the fucking chapters with repeating sentences! Holy fuck, this shit annoys me.
4 repliesNope, still the same.
have rescraped. check if its corrected now
Was great until the latter chapters was missing tons of content
1 replyWhile the plot itself is decent, the System is fun and the premise is somewhat interesting, the overall work is brought down due to the extreme amount of xenophobia and racism displayed by the main character mainly.
4/10 there are better things to read.2likesmarked for retranslation with the newer model, u can read as u will. it will automatically get retranslated
The survival worlds the main character gets placed into are usually pretty clear rip offs of other novels or popular games. For example there is a survival would where the MC goes to Raccoon City from Resident Evil and like an entire 200ish chapter section where he plays a Plants vs. Zombie style survival game. Despite it's weird settings and occasionally strange character choices, I really liked the first few hundred chapters of this story and hope more come out soon.
8/10 worth reading.Fun cultivation novel, mc builds internet, qr payments and modern systems in cultivation world
Tho I fear it’s going to get rushed given the number of chapters. kinda hesitating reading further in case author just messes up everythinh
++. Best Douluo novel I've read. Pace is enjoyable and character interactions are the best part of this novel.
1likeStarted well but going downhill rapidly from chapter 200 onwards. So dropped it at 350 as was not a fan of its direction. Was good earlier when it focused on magic n stuff.
