Most notification kinds are on by default. The two that aren't are the digests, which turn on automatically once you bookmark a novel or save a search. If a kind you expect is missing from your feed, check its toggle below before assuming something's broken.
The bell#
The bell icon in the site header opens a dropdown of your recent notifications. From there, See all notifications takes you to the full notifications page. Signed-out visitors are asked to sign in when they select the bell.
Notification types#

Daily digests#
Two notifications arrive as digests rather than one-by-one, each once a day:
- Library updates: bundles new chapters across the novels you're bookmarked on, grouped separately for novels marked Reading and novels marked Plan to Read. A digest covering one novel includes its cover image; one covering several lists them with a link into each.
- New-novel matches: bundles newly added novels that match your saved searches (see below), with title, category, word count, and tags for each, and a link to read.
Saved-search alerts#
To get notified when new novels match a search:
- Go to Browse and open the advanced filters.
- Set the filters you want to be alerted on.
- Select Notify me.
- Name the alert and select Save.
Creating a saved search automatically turns on new-novel-match notifications for your account. New novels matching that filter set are bundled into your next new-novel-match digest.
Preferences#
Turn notification kinds on or off from the notifications page, or the bell dropdown's preferences panel:

Each saved search can also be turned off, or deleted, from the same settings.
Actions from the notification list#
Selecting a notification marks it as read. Mark all as read clears every unread notification at once. There's no way to delete an individual notification. The closest equivalent is deleting the saved search behind a new-novel-match alert, from the preferences panel.
