Background / History

She Yan'er and She Qing'er are twin sisters whose mutated martial souls gave them snake tails. The Heaven Dou Auction House imprisoned them and offered them for sale despite their parents being alive. Gu Shenggo won the bidding at 1,060,000 Gold Soul Coins 32 35 44.

After collecting the sisters, Gu Shenggo removed the auction house's slave marks and replaced them with clock-shaped marks of his own. He subsequently housed them in the Bronze Sparrow Terrace inside his Chen Ge Pot. She Yan'er refused the identity plaque he gave her and continued resisting his claim of ownership 36 39 40.

Their parents, She Qisheng and She Mei, tracked them to Tianhe Hotel after questioning the auction manager. She Yan'er later learned that Gu Shenggo had killed her father and taken possession of her mother. She Mei was transformed into a Snake Woman with a crimson tail by a Bloodline Ancestral Return Potion 44 46.

Appearance

The twins look nearly identical, with pale-purple snake eyes and tails. Their expressions distinguish them: She Yan'er is typically defiant, while She Qing'er appears fearful and often stays close to her sister 36 38.

  • She Yan'er — Her auction-house mark was red; Gu Shenggo replaced it with a crimson clock mark 36 39.
  • She Qing'er — Her auction-house mark was green; Gu Shenggo replaced it with a green clock mark 36 39.
  • She Mei — Unlike her daughters, she gained her snake-tailed form later. Her tail is crimson 46.

Personality

She Yan'er is fiercely protective of She Qing'er. At the auction, she contemplated dying with her sister rather than being exploited by the bidders. She later bit Gu Shenggo, tried to prevent him from examining Qing'er, and rejected his identity plaque 35 37 39 40.

She Qing'er is more timid. She initially clung to Yan'er for safety and joined her in biting Gu Shenggo, but later pleaded for her sister's release and became compliant under his control 35 37 39 40. She Mei initially searched for her daughters with She Qisheng; after her capture and transformation, she obeyed Gu Shenggo 44 46.

Relationships

  • She Yan'er and She Qing'er — Twin sisters. Yan'er repeatedly tries to shield Qing'er; Qing'er worries for Yan'er and pleads for her safety 35 39.
  • She Mei — Their mother. She helps search for them after their capture and later becomes one of Gu Shenggo's Snake Women 44 46.
  • She Qisheng — Their father. He searches for the twins with She Mei; Yan'er later holds Gu Shenggo responsible for his death 44 46.
  • Gu Shenggo — Purchases the twins, marks them as his property, and controls their living arrangements. Yan'er resists him, while Qing'er becomes more compliant 35 39 40.
  • Ning Rou — Bids in an attempt to rescue the twins, but withdraws rather than compete with Gu Shenggo 35.
