Misunderstanding

Silas and Eddie arrived directly at the edge of the Acromantula nest deep within the Forbidden Forest through a portal.

The air was thick with the smell of rotting leaves and something sickly sweet and bloody. The trees around them were twisted and tangled, while enormous spiderwebs hung everywhere like gray curtains. From afar came faint, spine-chilling rustling sounds.

Silas swept his gaze over the surroundings and said to Eddie succinctly, "Clear division of labor. I'll handle the spiders; you collect the venom. Stay back and don't get in the way."

Eddie hurriedly nodded, hiding behind a relatively safe tree. He tightly gripped several large empty glass bottles and a specially made silver needle for drawing venom, watching Silas with both nervousness and excitement.

Silas rolled his wrist. He did not even take out his wand, merely raising a hand toward an Acromantula that had just poked its huge, furry head out from behind a tree. Casually, he said:

"Balzaha Lightning!"

"Crackle—!"

A beam of blue-green lightning shot out, striking the spider squarely on the head! The spider let out a shrill screech, its eight legs twitched a few times, and then it collapsed to the ground in a cloud of black smoke, motionless.

"One down." Silas sounded relaxed, as though he had merely swatted a mosquito. Without slowing, he continued forward.

"Balzaha Lightning~" Another bolt of lightning sent a spider lunging at him from the side flying away.

"Borsat's Thunder~" A thick crimson pillar of light roared forth, ricocheting through a cluster of packed-together spiders and instantly electrocuting them all into charred husks!

Silas strolled along as if taking a leisurely walk. Wherever he passed, Acromantulas died one after another, his efficiency terrifyingly high.

But Silas soon felt that taking them down one at a time was too slow.
