Late at night, Ravenclaw Tower, Silas's dormitory.
Silas sat cross-legged on his bed. Spread out before him was the plain-looking, black-covered diary he had "intercepted" from Ginny Weasley—Tom Riddle's first Horcrux.
Stroking his chin, he stared at the diary with a deeply furrowed brow and muttered to himself as he analyzed ways to destroy it:

"Who cares about methods? I'll chop it first and ask questions later! I refuse to believe this lousy notebook can withstand the edge of the Sword of Vishanti!"
He raised the blade of light and brought it down viciously upon the open diary!
"Take this!"
The light sword struck the pages with a dull thud! A gash was cut through the paper, but strangely, black mist immediately seeped from its edges, and the wound rapidly healed before his eyes!
"Oh? Pretty tough, huh?" Silas grew more energized. "I'll chop, chop, chop, chop, chop, chop!"
Gripping the sword with both hands, he launched into a frenzied barrage of slashes against the diary! Golden light flashed throughout the dormitory as
