Uchiha Chisen pursued absolute justice across the Land of Fire, Konoha, and beyond, killing criminals and confronting the systems that protected them. As he set out to challenge Kirigakure, Tsunade prepared to contest Hiruzen for the Hokage position, while Akatsuki and Root moved against Chisen and Tsunade confronted Jiraiya over Naruto.

Arc 5The Purge of the Land of Fire

Uchiha Chisen trained Sasuke and pursued his absolute justice, killing criminals, conspirators, the Shimura Clan, the Guardian Ninja, and the Daimyo. The Daimyo’s successor pledged reforms, but Chisen’s growing influence and the rumors surrounding the killings left Konoha, the Uchiha, and the Land of Fire facing political turmoil.

  • Izumi warned Mikoto and Sasuke about Itachi’s future crimes, and Chisen agreed to protect Sasuke and teach him about justice through Naruto.
  • Chisen and Izumi killed Uchiha drug traffickers and other criminals, then Chisen exterminated the Shimura Clan after its members tried to assassinate him.

Arc 6Absolute Justice in Konoha

Uchiha Chisen returned to Konoha and used Absolute Justice to expose and punish criminals, drawing support from some villagers and resistance from powerful clans. After killing Itachi and confronting the Hyuga Clan over its Caged Bird system, Chisen challenged its members to defend their unjust rules.

  • Uchiha Setsuna’s attempt to replace Fugaku as clan head failed, and Chisen returned to Konoha after warning the Daimyo’s eldest son and leaving the capital.
  • Chisen killed Setsuna and then pursued criminals in the Utatane, Mitokado, and Sarutobi clans, while Naruto and Sasuke began killing evildoers themselves.
  • Chisen and Tsunade investigated Sarutobi Sakurako’s suicide, punished the children who had bullied her, and Tsunade offered to join Chisen’s cause.

Arc 7The Fall of Orochimaru

Uchiha Chisen imposed absolute justice on the Hyuga, confronted Konoha’s leaders and pursued Orochimaru to Ryūchi Cave. The arc left Fugaku removed from his posts, Orochimaru dead, and Chisen poised to gain new allies as Akatsuki turned its attention toward him.

  • Uchiha Chisen punished the Hyuga Main Family and helped end its control through the Caged Bird Seal, while Neji challenged Branch Family members who sought power rather than equality.
  • Chisen protected Hinata, Hanabi, and other Main Family survivors, then exposed Uchiha Obito’s identity to Konan through his Wood Clone.
  • Root seized Sasuke and Neji and attacked Izumi and Anko, but Tsunade and the Konoha Military Police Force forced Koharu to release them.

Arc 8Absolute Justice Takes Hold

Uchiha Chisen expanded his campaign of absolute justice through Konoha and set out to confront Kirigakure, while Tsunade challenged Sarutobi Hiruzen for the Hokage position. As Akatsuki and Root moved to eliminate Chisen, Tsunade confronted Jiraiya over his attempt to take Naruto to Mount Myōboku.

  • Uchiha Chisen returned to Konoha, took command of the Konoha Military Police Force, and killed Uchiha Fugaku after Fugaku attacked him with Susanoo.
  • Tsunade began building an independent Medical Unit, while Chisen ordered memory examinations of Anbu and the police force arrested Anbu accused of crimes.
  • Utatane Koharu escaped Konoha Prison and sought help from Sarutobi Hiruzen and the Akatsuki Organization, while Mitokado Homura secretly gave Chisen intelligence and questioned Hiruzen’s fitness as Hokage.
