The Ninja World and the Five Great Nations
Could it be that the ninjas of Konoha found a passage to Earth, or a teleportation tool similar to Thor's Bifrost, and came to Earth to find Charlotte Doyle, and then trained him to be a ninja again?
Or perhaps the Ninja World is inherently connected to Earth by a narrow strip of water, with numerous passageways. After all, Konoha, Sand Ninja, Sound Ninja, and Yugakure Ninja have already come through, and with the unexpected arrival of Yakushi Kabuto, they clearly didn't use a single passageway.
Upon realizing that the Ninja World world was no smaller than Earth, Coulson's first thought was of resources. A planet roughly the size of Earth, habitable enough for humans—what a vast resource that would be, and what terrifying benefits it could bring to Earth.
Then, thinking of the ninjas' terrifying strength, Coulson felt helpless. It seemed that they might not be able to obtain this benefit. After all, the ninja village, which they had previously regarded as just a small village, was backed by a country more terrifying than the America. It seemed that all of this needed to be replanned.
"Mr. Kabuto, could you please explain the relationship between the Five Great Nations and the Five Great Shinobi Villages?"
Yakushi Kabuto nodded and said, "Because the Uchiha and Senju were the first to establish Konoha Village, ninjas from other major countries followed suit and established their own ninja villages."
"This transformed the ninja system from a clan-based structure to a system where each village is governed by a single nation."
"The ninja village in the Land of Fire is Hidden Leaf Village, the Land of Wind is Sunagakure, the Land of Water is Kirigakure, the Land of Earth is Iwagakure, and the Land of Lightning is Kumogakure."
Land of Fire
The land is covered with vast, flat hills, making it a large country capable of supporting its large population with abundant granaries. Because it is located almost in the center of the Five Great Nations, it has been a transportation hub since ancient times and has made great contributions to cultural exchanges among the nations. The vitality brought about by cultural exchanges is supporting the economy and prosperity of the Land of Fire.
Land of Wind
Although the Land of Wind has a vast territory, deserts cover most of it. Rainfall is also scarce, and the people live in villages built in oases within the desert. Despite the harsh environment, the population is large, and trade with the Land of Fire is very active.
Land of Water
An island situated in the open sea, possessing a unique culture. Although surrounded by the sea, it has a distinctive topography with many mountains within its territory. Furthermore, the surrounding islands, both large and small, retain different customs and traditions, and many islanders still follow their own traditions.
Land of Lightning
The thunder echoing through the towering mountains is said to be the origin of the country's name. Rivers originating from the mountains that divide the peninsula in two, rising in the center, create a winding coastline where they flow into the ocean, offering breathtaking views of the majestic sea. The country also boasts numerous hot spring resorts.
Land of Earth
The Land of Earth of rocky cliffs. The rocky mountains within the country seem to run along its borders, thus hindering travel between the Land of Earth and other countries. In addition, winds blowing from the north cross these mountains, carrying small rocks from the land to other countries, creating a famous natural phenomenon known as "Rock Rain."
"These are the Five Great Nations. The Land of Wind has the largest land area, but also the most deserts. The Land of Fire has the best environment and is the strongest."
"As for the Five Great Shinobi Villages, I am, after all, a Rogue Ninja, and I don't know much about them. I only have some common knowledge that circulates among ninjas."
Kirigakure: A mysterious ninja village shrouded in thick fog—located in the Land of Water.
Iwagakure): A ninja village known for its strong defenses, said to be surrounded by natural barriers—located in the Land of Earth.
Sunagakure: The harsh environment of swirling sandstorms becomes the perfect food source for cultivating ninjas—located in the Land of Wind.
Kumogakure: A powerful village standing beyond the sea of clouds—located in the Land of Lightning.
"As for the other small countries and their ninja villages, I know even less and cannot provide any information."
Upon hearing Yakushi Kabuto's explanation, Coulson was astonished. It was completely different from what they had predicted. Their guesses about ninjas and ninja villages were like the blind men and the elephant, with a frighteningly large discrepancy.
"This information from you is already a great help to us."
"Mr. Dou, we need to return to headquarters now. On one hand, we need to process your onboarding documents, and on the other hand, we need to assess your abilities so we can assign you a rating."
Yakushi Kabuto nodded. "Okay, I have no problem."
Then Yakushi Kabuto gathered the things on the table, closed the three boxes, and took them all in his hands.
Coulson saw this but didn't say anything. These were things he had promised the other party in advance, so he didn't linger here. He took Yakushi Kabuto and headed towards the Triskelion.
The car sped along the road, and Coulson soon brought Yakushi Kabuto to the S.H.I.E.L.D.. building.
Upon entering the building, agents quickly arrived, but Coulson had already notified S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters beforehand.
"Yakushi Kabuto, you'll go with Agent Fills to complete the onboarding procedures and undergo the combat capability test."
"I have some other work to take care of."
Upon hearing that Coulson had handed him over to other agents, Yakushi Kabuto didn't seem to mind, instead offering a gentle smile and saying, "Yes, Agent Coulson."
Watching Yakushi Kabuto leave with Fills, Coulson immediately headed towards Nick Fury's office.
Coulson took the elevator all the way to Nick Fury's office on the top floor and knocked on the door.
"Sir!"
Nick Fury smiled as he saw Coulson enter.
"Coulson, you did a great job bringing a ninja to S.H.I.E.L.D.."
"Looks like your agent level is about to be upgraded again."
Seeing Nick Fury's praise, Coulson's face didn't show the excitement of an impending promotion; instead, his expression was serious as he said:
"Director, based on the information I obtained from Yakushi Kabuto, it's possible that many of our initial plans were flawed."
Hearing Coulson's serious tone, Nick Fury's expression changed; his smile faded, and he asked earnestly:
"What intelligence?"
Coulson then recounted to his Director the information he had obtained about the Ninja World from Yakushi Kabuto, as well as the events concerning the Five Great Nations and five great villages.
As Coulson recounted his story, Nick Fury's expression grew increasingly grim, eventually becoming completely devoid of emotion. Meanwhile, he scribbled a considerable amount of writing on a piece of paper.
The information was limited, and Coulson quickly finished his account.
After Coulson finished speaking, Nick Fury didn't immediately reply but continued writing. After a few minutes, Nick Fury stopped and looked at Coulson.
