The Threat Level Rises

Nick Fury looked at Coulson and sighed.

He then said, "Tell Lance Hunter to withdraw his troops from the Japan. No wonder we haven't been able to find any trace of the ninja village; it turns out they're not even on Earth."

Hearing Nick Fury's sigh, Coulson added, "None of us expected that they weren't even on Earth, or even from Earth."

Upon hearing Coulson say that the other party wasn't from Earth, Nick Fury thought for a moment, then said, "Perhaps they aren't necessarily not from Earth."

"I see a lot of shared culture in them, whether it's the ninjas of Konoha or the clothing of Otogakure, I can see the influence of cultures from all over the world."

"Especially their race and skin color, which are not particularly different from ours."

"Just like you think of Charlotte Doyle, we've never found any information about his parents, and you also suspect that he fell from the Ninja World."

"That's why their race is so diverse. I saw Asians, and I also saw Europeans from our side. Maybe in the future, there will even be Black people like you, Director."

Nick Fury nodded, then said, "Of course, this is just our speculation."

"But it seems that our plans need to be changed."

"I never imagined the power behind the ninjas was so great. It seems I'll need to be more cautious when dealing with them in the future."

"Although this has drawbacks, if the other party is also from the same planet as us, then the resources we can trade will no longer be just simple intelligence and some mission commissions."

Coulson nodded in agreement, then Nick Fury looked at Coulson and asked, "Besides you, who else knows this information?"

"Raise the security level of this intelligence to level ten and have James sign a confidentiality agreement. This intelligence must not be leaked for the time being."

"Understood, Director!"

"Director, what changes should we make to our operations going forward?"

After thinking for a moment, Nick Fury said, "Let's try to get more information out of Yakushi Kabuto. Although he says he's a Rogue Ninja, we can't be sure about that."

"We cannot rule out the possibility that he is a spy, and we cannot relax our surveillance efforts against him."

"Furthermore, the fact that he said that suggests there might indeed be forces outside of ninja villages in the Ninja World. To ensure the accuracy of this information, Coulson, go to the Sunagakure Puppet Shop and confirm this information with them."

"Also, ask Sunagakure if there are any other possibilities for cooperation. Since they are backed by a country, they must have a need for trade in supplies."

"There's also the matter of the enhancers; we need to acquire some more as soon as possible."

"The Earth cannot be without its own defenses; relying solely on Barton is far too weak for us."

After a moment's thought, Coulson said, "Director, I think we can include Liu Haoran, the Fire Controller we recruited in Hong Kong last time, in the candidate list for the Physical Enhancement Serum injection."

Upon hearing Coulson's suggestion, Nick Fury asked doubtfully, "What do you mean?"

"Director, according to the analysis I reviewed by the Science Team, Liu Haoran's fire control ability is very weak. He is able to avoid burns because the hemoglobin in his body has a strong fire resistance."

"However, due to his own energy or a weak biomagnetic field, he cannot create a large flame."

"If we inject him with Physical Enhancement Serum to improve his strength, we might be able to enhance his ability to create flames. In this way, not only will his physical strength be strengthened, but his ability to create flames may also be greatly enhanced."

After listening to Coulson's account, Nick Fury thought for a moment and then said, "But his mind is not mature enough. I worry that he could become dangerous once he gains immense power."

Nick Fury nodded and said, "I'll consider this suggestion. We're almost finished collecting Vibranium, and we should be able to trade for the Physical Enhancement Serum from Sunagakure soon."

"When you go to verify the information later, you can mention it to the other party that we can proceed with the transaction next week."

"Understood, Director!"

Coulson nodded, didn't linger in Nick Fury's office, and immediately took his leave. He was going to the Sunagakure Puppet Shop to verify some information.

As Coulson left, Nick Fury stood up from his chair, walked to the huge floor-to-ceiling window, looked at the setting sun outside, and thought about the ninjas.

He was deeply worried. He had originally thought that the Chunin were a native force of Earth, but judging from the current situation, that was not the case. These ninjas might be here to infiltrate Earth.

Once they discover that Earth poses no threat, the allure of a habitable Living Planet is immense, and they might very well consider conquering it.

The threat level posed by the ninjas rose once again in Nick Fury's mind.

Earth needs its own strength!
