Background / History
King Dazhou served the Human Emperor in the ancient era. He drafted imperial edicts during the Human Realm period, later handled miscellaneous affairs in the Human Emperor Palace, and operated as a secret guard under the name Zhou Tianqi. 723 753
He became one of the Fire-Passers: inheritors tasked with observing successive tidal cycles, preserving the Human Race's legacy, and supporting a Human Lord deemed worthy. During the Ninth Tide, other Fire-Passers chose to support King Hundred Battles, so King Dazhou remained concealed as an ordinary Eternal rather than revealing himself. 673
For centuries, he deliberately kept a low profile despite possessing exceptional strength. His tacit attitude toward the suppression of the Multi Divine Script Faction led Liu Wenyan and Xia Longwu to fear that he might be a traitor; Xia Longwu instead identified him as a Human Race powerhouse whom even King Daxia could not defeat. 194
King Dazhou first directly approached Su Yu after the latter's rise, sensing Su Yu's hostility and asking to speak with him. Su Yu sarcastically praised him as a hidden Half Emperor who had secretly guarded humanity for centuries. 527
During the Human Race's counteroffensive, he advocated attacking the Sky Abyss Realm rather than the Dragon Realm, citing the enemy's weaker Eternal ranks, proximity to the Undead Realm, enmity with the Multi Divine Script Faction, and possession of the “Tu” character catalog. 608 He later attained Dao Fusion during that campaign and personally killed the Sky Abyss Half Emperor. 635
After Su Yu unified the Human Race, King Dazhou openly identified himself as the protector of the current Human Lord. He admitted that he had hidden his Dao Fusion strength because revealing it earlier could have provoked a full assault by the Immortal, Demon, and God races. 667
Personality
King Dazhou is patient, secretive, and accustomed to concealing both his strength and intentions. Even after reaching Dao Fusion, he reflexively pretended to be exhausted after teleporting until Su Yu called him out on the habit. 678
He is highly pragmatic in war and politics. He weighs enemy strength, geography, resources, public perception, and future alliances before committing to battle. His plans often prioritize the Human Race's long-term survival over immediate victories. 608 637
His loyalty is directed toward the continuation of the Human Race rather than blind service to an individual. He waited through multiple tides for a suitable Human Lord, eventually acknowledging that Su Yu had surpassed the previous Human Lords without needing Fire-Passer recognition. 667 673
Beneath his composure, King Dazhou carries deep frustration over failed candidates and lost opportunities. He erupted in rage at King of Great Qin after revealing that he had quietly cultivated him as a potential Human Lord for centuries. 764
Abilities & Skills
Endurance and Stillness Daos
King Dazhou specializes in the Dao of Endurance and the Dao of Stillness rather than pursuing a conventional offensive path. 716
- His Dao of Endurance reached Dao Fusion before his Stillness Dao. 716
- His intended use of Stillness is concealment: once sufficiently developed, even Dao Fusion experts would struggle to detect him. 716
- By connecting the two Daos, he transformed extreme endurance into explosive fury and advanced to the Heavenly King realm. 738
- He intended to broaden the minor Dao of Endurance by incorporating similar Daos, following the principle behind larger composite paths such as the Physical Body Dao. 738
Spatial Movement
King Dazhou is capable of large-scale teleportation across realms.
- He transported a group of Human Race Invincibles directly into the Dragon Realm, where they killed two Invincibles and numerous Dragon Race members. 598
- Large-scale teleportation significantly drains his combat capacity, limiting his ability to immediately continue fighting afterward. 608
- Su Yu later tasked him with placing Great Prefecture Seals near enemy Dao Fusion experts and establishing a Heaven-Covering Array outside their realms. 678
Civilization Mastery and Rule Manipulation
King Dazhou is regarded as the foremost Civilization Master of the Human Race and one of the strongest experts in the Seeking Realm. 441
- His Divine Script path was judged close to, or stronger than, the Fifth Generation's. 194
- He used Civilization Master methods to manipulate the Sky Abyss Realm's rules and destroy the Sky Abyss Half Emperor's physical body. 635
- A fragment of his “Myriad Laws” was incorporated into Su Yu's Civilization Records. 621
- He can form Divine Script clones for operations where exposing his true body would be too dangerous. 753
Strategic Planning and Intelligence
King Dazhou's ancient service and long lifespan gave him extensive knowledge of Human Race history, upper-realm figures, and hidden passages.
- He knew the identities and backgrounds of ancient Marquises and Human Kings, including King Yue's history and Huoyun Marquis's former allegiance. 733
- He advised Su Yu on disguises, upper-realm operations, and the danger of exposing their identities through repeated attacks. 707 721
- He intentionally allowed the Supervisor of Heaven Marquis to obtain a “Record” fragment in order to create suspicion among the myriad races. 673
- Su Yu placed the wider domain under King Dazhou's command in a crisis, despite other subordinates being stronger or more trusted. 803
