Background / History

Bai Yuan is one of Gula's avatars. When Gula sought placements for his avatars, he considered Bai Yuan the most suitable to remain at Shrek Academy due to his personality, despite the public concerns surrounding his abyss-related martial soul. Yun Ming ultimately accepted him into the Inner Court as a Core Disciple and chose to have Shrek stand behind him. 240

His Abyss Maw martial soul originated from a seed identified as a Two-Headed Man-Eating Flower, though the emergence of its Abyss bloodline was regarded as an improbable mutation. Gula later questioned whether an unknown factor had affected the absorbed Soul Power involved in its creation. 270

Bai Yuan is a pale young man with the solid, difficult-to-approach bearing of a trained athlete. He usually presents himself in restrained black clothing, but his martial soul manifestations are distinctly monstrous. 240

Bai Yuan is generally composed, respectful, and neither servile nor overbearing in formal settings. His earlier arrogance is no longer apparent after entering Shrek's Inner Court, although he retains confidence in his own strength. 240
