Hanma won a command position through the Jonin selection, then began a relationship with Tsunade as Konoha prepared for war. He taught Nawaki, Minato, and Kushina while helping Nawaki confront the gap between his Hokage dream and his lack of clan training.

• Hanma’s Predatory Malice unsettled the Uchiha clan, and he told Jiraiya he wanted military command or solo hunting missions.
• At the elite selection, Hanma defeated Hyuga Tenzo and Yūhi Shinkō, then fought Tsunade and Uchiha Setsuna together, revealing his Blood Lightning Armor and defeating Setsuna with help from Black Hawk.
• After the selection, the Third appointed White Fang, Orochimaru, and uchiha ryousuke to command Konoha’s forces against Sunagakure, Hanzo, and enemy infiltrators.
• Hanma stopped Amegakure Ninja threatening civilians, helped expose a spy operation, and later confessed his feelings to Tsunade, who kissed him.
• Hanma introduced himself to Nawaki, Minato, and Kushina as Tsunade’s fiancé, gave them study materials, and began training Nawaki with Fugaku as his sparring partner.
• Hanma taught Nawaki about combat, bloodline abilities, and the hardships behind strength, while Minato made progress studying the Flying Thunder God Technique.
• At Ichiraku Ramen, Hanma explained why Konoha had been founded and told Nawaki that becoming Hokage meant enduring hardship, while also allowing him to choose a life outside the ninja path.
• Nawaki asked Hanma to keep teaching him without deciding whether to pursue his Hokage dream, and Hanma encountered young Kakashi and reflected on his own personal loyalties.

Hanma clashed with Hanzo, seized Hoshigakure’s Star, and navigated Konoha’s growing political divisions as war with Sunagakure escalated. After Shukaku drove Konoha’s forces back, the Third Hokage sought uchiha ryousuke’s full support by offering the Uchiha powerful techniques.

• Hanma rejected Danzo’s proposal to invade Amegakure without the Hokage’s orders, then accepted the Third Hokage’s mission to scout the village and kill important targets.
• Hanma ambushed Iga’s escort, survived Iga’s poison technique, and fought Hanzo before both leaders withdrew without a decisive victory.
• Hanma recovered from Ibuse’s poison, took Hoshigakure’s Star, and defeated the villagers who tried to stop him from leaving with it.
• Hanma returned to Konoha, reported his battle with Hanzo, and helped Orochimaru take Nawaki as his disciple while advising Minato and Kushina as war approached.
• Hanzo and Sunagakure formed an alliance against Konoha, and the Third Hokage appointed Orochimaru, Hatake Sakumo, and uchiha ryousuke to lead the campaign.
• Hanma’s battlefield maneuvering and the war’s worsening conditions left Konoha struggling against Sunagakure and Amegakure, while Sakumo’s assault killed Chiyo’s son and Dan Katō died fighting Ebizo.
• After Ebizo’s death, Chiyo secured permission to deploy Shukaku, and Bunpuku agreed to help, and Shukaku’s attacks forced Sakumo and Konoha’s forces out of the Land of Rivers.
• With Shukaku threatening Konoha’s borders, the Third Hokage ordered Danzo to negotiate with uchiha ryousuke and offer the Uchiha the Eight Inner Gates and Reverse Four Symbols Sealing Technique in exchange for his full effort.

Hanma helped end the war and returned to Konoha as the Uchiha’s rising leader, while the village’s leaders undermined Orochimaru and spread rumors against the clan. He joined Orochimaru in planning to seize Kirigakure and build a new village, with Minato and Uchiha Setsuna offering their support.

• Hanma defeated Bunpuku and Shukaku, then helped repel Nata and negotiated with the Third Raikage as the war wound down.
• Hanzo attacked Konoha’s forces, but Minato, Kushina, and Nawaki destroyed Amegakure and rescued Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Tsunade before Hanma confronted Nata.
• The Third Hokage considered the war’s casualties and Uchiha Setsuna’s distrust, while Setsuna told Fugaku that Hanma should lead the Uchiha and Fugaku apologized to Hanma.
• Hanma welcomed Konan into the Uchiha Clan, while Tsunade chose Senjutsu training instead of becoming the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki.
• Danzo exposed Sarutobi Shinnosuke’s merit-sharing network, and the Third investigated Orochimaru, damaging Orochimaru’s standing and ambitions.
• Orochimaru concluded that Konoha had sacrificed him to protect Danzo and asked Hanma to help overturn the Shinobi World, so Hanma proposed seizing Kirigakure and building a new country there.
• Hanma and Orochimaru planned to recruit persecuted bloodline clans, foment conflict in the Land of Water, and redirect its resources toward their new village.
• Hanma began seeking the Box of Paradise, while Uchiha Setsuna demanded action against Danzo and Minato offered to help stage a coup before debating with Setsuna over who would become Mizukage.

Hanma took leadership of the Uchiha, strengthened their standing, and traveled to Kusagakure to seize the Box of Paradise. There he battled Uchiha Madara, whose final move was to summon four Limbo Clones and open the box.

• Setsuna proposed using an attack disguised as Kirigakure forces to expose Root and improve the Uchiha’s position, and Hanma approved the plan.
• As rumors about Hanma, Orochimaru, and Danzo spread, Mito confronted Hiruzen, and the Third Hokage issued a notice defending Hanma and blaming enemy spies.
• Hanma accepted leadership of the Uchiha and held a clan gathering where he defeated Setsuna and other elite fighters, then promised support, training, and greater opportunities for the clan.
• Uchiha Madara learned that Hanma had united the Uchiha and turned his attention to Kusagakure’s Box of Paradise, while Hanma and Minato discussed the Rasengan and new Chakra techniques.
• Danzo persuaded the Third Hokage to let him pursue the Nine-Tails’ power, while Madara took control of Hozuki Castle and used the Box of Paradise to draw in the great nations.
• Hanma reached Hozuki Castle, killed three Kirigakure swordsmen who attacked him, and entered the castle after the other village forces withdrew.
• Madara revealed himself and fought Hanma with the Rinnegan, but Hanma broke through his attacks, battered his Susanoo, and awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan after absorbing Chakra from Madara’s severed limb.
• Hanma survived Madara’s attacks with help from Shukaku’s Chakra and shattered his Wood Golem, so Madara summoned four Limbo Clones and shouted, "Box of Paradise, open!"
