"Scary... so scary..."
Chopper's jaw nearly dropped as he stretched out both arms to clutch his bowl tightly against his chest.
Even though he had witnessed Cifer and Enel's appetites yesterday, he was still shocked today.
He might have understood what Nolan meant by monsters. Looking at how much they ate, they did not seem human at all.
As Enel fought Cifer for food, his large hand deliberately—or perhaps casually—wandered toward Chopper.
"Huh? What's that?"
Chopper turned around to look where Enel was pointing, but there was nothing there.
"There's nothing at all..."
When he turned back, the food he had been guarding had become an empty bowl!
"Hey! You bastard, Enel!"
Chopper flew into a rage, climbed onto Enel's head, and shook him, demanding that he spit it back out.
"Yeh~ hahahaha~"
Though he had grown accustomed to calling himself a god deep down, the carefree horseplay between companions was the best medicine for the wounds of his youth.
"Here."
Nolan had already anticipated this and prepared a backup meal for Chopper in advance.
"Thank you~ Nolan really is the best!"
Chopper took the plate from her, warily glanced at Enel, then turned his back on him and wolfed it down, afraid that his bowl would be empty again in the blink of an eye.
Seeing Chopper's little sulk, the corners of Enel's mouth rose slightly despite himself.
"Stop picking on him."
While Enel was still looking at Chopper's back, Cifer had already finished eating and was elegantly wiping his mouth with a napkin.
"Oh no!"
Seeing that Cifer was already full, Enel lowered his head and found that every plate in front of him was completely empty.
"You bastard!"
Lightning flickered, but when he looked up, Cifer was already gone from his seat.
His gaze involuntarily shifted somewhere
