The heavenly drums shook, and the thunder chariots roared.
The rumbling war drums sounded like heavenly thunder surging and resounding in every direction. Upon Tianbi Mountain, the demon clouds and Killing Intent that had shrouded the peak year-round began to fade and scatter amid the rolling drumbeats and crackling lightning.
As the war drums and thunderous notes boomed and trembled, vast swathes of dark cloud around Tianbi Mountain surged in like a tide, sealing off Tianbi Mountain's main peak, Zhentian Peak, until not even water could leak through.
"What's going on?!"
Before the demon kings within Zhentian Peak could react, a demon general soon came tumbling and scrambling in to report, "My kings, outside—outside, so many troops have come!"
Red Snake Demon King hurriedly asked, "How many?"
The demon general waved his hands wildly. "Too many to count! Those troops are standing on the clouds, packed together layer upon layer. There's no counting them!"
Standing on the clouds?
Too many to count?
The demon kings looked at one another, seeming to realize something. They hurried out of Zhentian Peak, and then these demon kings saw the countless troops the demon general had spoken of.
They saw astral winds howling and thunder roaring commands. Dark clouds, heavy as mountains, surged in from all directions, layer upon layer like overlapping ranges of peaks, enclosing Zhentian Peak so tightly that not even water could pass through.
And atop the dark clouds were densely packed heavenly soldiers in silver helms and silver armor. The heavenly soldiers were arrayed in formations of ten thousand; within every formation, hundreds of banners streamed and snapped loudly in the astral wind.
Spirit hounds could be seen leaping and shifting before the army formations like wolf packs circling prey, while cloud cranes spread their wings
