Zhenjiu, Zhenshi, and Zhenmi exchanged looks. It wasn't as though they had never entered the Great Lingyin Temple's Scripture Pavilion, but they had never heard of a Buddhist Treasure called the Blood-Burning Buddhist Lamp.
Puzzled, Zhenjiu said, "Brother Flame Dragon, the three of us were subdued by the Buddha at different times and settled here in the Great Lingyin Temple. We were granted the titles of Bodhisattva and Arhat and attained True Fruition."
"True, we're pushed aside everywhere in the Great Lingyin Temple, and few people think much of us. But the Buddha himself granted us True Fruition, and we've been to the Scripture Pavilion. We saw plenty of magical treasures and Buddhist Treasures there: swords, spears, halberds, axes, hooks, forks, Alms Bowls, Demon-Subduing Pestles, Prayer Wheels, Jeweled Parasols, Lotus Thrones, Buddhist Pagodas, and more. We saw plenty of Sharira, too. But we truly never saw any Buddhist Lamp."
Zhenshi added, "Exactly. Whenever we had nothing to do, we'd wander around the Scripture Pavilion. I won't say we've explored every corner, but we've been through most of it. We really never saw a Buddhist Lamp."
Flame Dragon laughed. "You three know one side of it, but not the other. The Great Lingyin Temple's Scripture Pavilion is a world unto itself. Its interior rivals a Medium Thousand World in size, vast and boundless, holding hundreds of millions of ancient Buddhist scriptures and who knows how many treasures."
