Acquisition and Absorption

• A Soul Ring can emerge from a slain Soul Beast; after Tuoba Yan kills the Golden Armor Tihun Chicken, its purple Soul Ring rises from the corpse and responds to his Soul Power. 22

• Once attached, a Soul Ring cannot be replaced, making Soul Beast selection a permanent decision. 20

• A 5,000-year second Soul Ring is described as far beyond the normal range for a second-ring Soul Master. 22 37

First Soul Ring — Horse Talisman: Holy Healing Nine Turns

Tuoba Yan’s first Soul Ring originates from a 400-year Celestial Horse and manifests as the Horse Talisman. 5 6

• Cures diseases, heals injuries, eliminates toxins, and removes negative physical conditions. 5
• Can restore severe injuries, including reattaching Hu Li Na’s severed arm. 37
• Has a time-reversal effect, though larger reversals consume substantially more Soul Power. 5
• Can reverse injuries into short-term power when used through a Martial Soul Avatar. 5
• The talisman can detach from the Saint Martial Soul and be handed to another person for healing. 5
• At the one-ring stage, healing severe injuries nearly exhausts Tuoba Yan’s Soul Power. 12

Second Soul Ring — Chicken Talisman: Levitate

Tuoba Yan’s second Soul Ring originates from the 5,000-year Golden Armor Tihun Chicken and manifests as the Chicken Talisman. 22 23

• Allows Tuoba Yan to levitate himself, other people, and inanimate objects. 22
• Enables sustained aerial movement and evasive suspended flight. 25 27
• Can apply levitation to Soul Power and Mental Force rather than only physical objects. 27
• Creates a Mental Force Cage by combining Mental Force with the ring’s levitation property. 26
• The Mental Force Cage is a self-created Soul Skill, not a separate ability granted by the second ring. 26

Third Soul Ring — Niu Fu Zhuo: Man Niu Zhi Li

Tuoba Yan’s third Soul Ring is black and has reached the ten-thousand-year limit. 37 48

• Activates a deep-blue enhancement that causes Tuoba Yan’s muscles to swell and grants ox-like physical strength. 33
