Background

Marquis Champion was the illegitimate son of the Qian Emperor. The Emperor recognized abnormalities in his reincarnated soul and used a spell to unify his spirit and flesh, initially preventing him from cultivating the soul path. Marquis Champion nevertheless rose rapidly as a martial cultivator and became intensely determined to take the Great Qian throne for himself. 203 216

When he was five, Emperor Pan's Sacred Sword supposedly “delivered itself” to him with a falling meteor. He later acquired the Taotie Jade Pendant, which he believed to be Emperor Yu's Supreme Treasure and proof that he was favored by destiny.
