Background / History

Li Yu was originally an orphaned tech intern on Earth. After recalling his former life, he realized that parts of his memories had been sealed or altered before his transmigration. 1292

He first appears as a frail sixteen-year-old miscellaneous worker at Cangwu Academy, unable to handle heavy labor and reliant on other youths to complete his chores in exchange for stories. His unusual short hair immediately distinguishes him from the other workers. 1 Manager Yin and Yin Luo sheltered him after he collapsed in the wilderness; Yin Luo later gave him an Essence Nourishing Blood Pill, an act Li Yu credits as vital to his eventual System activation. 1 66

After becoming a System Host, Li Yu began moving between worlds, cultivating himself while creating opportunities for selected “hosts.” He identified Zhou Yi, Xiao Feng, Li Feiyu, Wang Yue, and others as long-term investments whose growth could provide resources, information, and new cultivation data. 29 80 294 393

Despite his power, Li Yu eventually recognized that he had risen too quickly through external advantages and lacked genuine life experience. He sealed his cultivation, altered local memories to establish a mortal identity, and entered the Shanhai Realm as a young scholar to retrace a normal cultivation path. 1172

His origin is later revealed to be connected to the Longevity Realm. A vision shows that he had been killed there as an infant by the Great Emperor Azure Heaven; he further realizes that Grandma Zhou Qingxia, who raised him on Earth, was the Empress. 1513 1518
