After the Pirate King Roger's capture, the world was thrown into turmoil. Many pirates who admired Roger began causing trouble all over the world, leading to attacks on numerous Marine branches and inflicting considerable losses on the Marines.

At Marine Headquarters, Marineford, most of the Marines' high-end combat forces returned after Roger's arrest, preparing for his crew to attempt a prison break.

Only Garp knew that the other members of the Roger Pirates would not attempt a jailbreak, but no one else knew that. Thus, the atmosphere was filled with nervous anticipation, as if every bush and tree was an enemy soldier.

Carlos, however, paid no mind to the world's disturbances. Instead, he focused all his energy on intensive training. His overall strength had improved by leaps and bounds during five months of arduous practice, and he was on the verge of reaching, and even surpassing, his training goals!

Two days later, at noon, Carlos returned to his wooden cabin from his training grounds. His upper body was bare, revealing perfectly proportioned, well-defined muscles. He casually wore black trousers. Most captivating were Carlos's eyes; within his crimson pupils, dark, triangular scythes materialized. They were eerie, chilling, and powerful!

After returning to the cabin and getting dressed, Carlos grabbed a few things and stepped outside. He took one last look at the wooden cabin, then a spatial vortex appeared, drawing him in. He disappeared completely.

Lucifer Manor—that was the new name of the Mike Family's estate. Upon returning, Carlos immediately summoned his top subordinates. He issued an order, temporarily assigning Noah to handle family affairs in his stead, and then departed with Kelly.

As Carlos's trusted confidant, Noah held a position as a top subordinate. The other two top subordinate positions were held by the two strongest members: one named Nicky Shorey, and the other named Brian Hawke.

On the docks controlled by the Mafia in Iron Island's East City, a small ship had already been prepared. Its size was similar to the first pirate ship of the Pirate King Luffy, the Going Merry, but it was more elongated.

The ship was fully stocked with enough drinking water and food, and essential positions like navigator, shipwright, and doctor had already been filled. It was ready to set sail at any moment.

Carlos, Kelly, and five meticulously selected Mafia combatants boarded the ship. All the crew members greeted them respectfully. The people on board were not Carlos's companions, but his subordinates.

After boarding, Carlos briefly commended his subordinates, kept the navigator, and dismissed the rest.

The navigator his subordinates found was reasonably competent. While navigating the Grand Line might be a bit challenging, navigating the Four Seas was more than sufficient.

The seas of the Four Seas, while dangerous, were far less so compared to the Grand Line and the New World.

"I'm going to the East Blue. Find me the closest route to Marie Geoise. It's okay if there are obstacles. Just have the final stop be below the Red Line."

"Do you understand what I mean?"

"You mean you don't want to enter the East Blue via Reverse Mountain, and you have another way to cross the Red Line, correct?" the navigator beside him asked cautiously.

"Precisely, that's the meaning," Carlos confirmed.

"I understand. I'll plan the route immediately. We won't go through Reverse Mountain, and if there are no unexpected issues, we'll arrive soon."

"Go ahead."

"Yes."

Ten minutes later, the ship departed the dock and, following the planned closest route, began sailing rapidly towards the Red Line where Marie Geoise was located.

The seas in the world of the Pirate King were separated by the Red Line and the Calm Belts on either side of the Grand Line. The most common way to cross the sea was naturally by entering the sea currents that branched off from Reverse Mountain.

Additionally, a more convenient method was to cross the Grand Line, enclosed by the Calm Belts, and to cross the Red Line. This would allow free passage within the Four Seas, or even the Grand Line.

Of course, it sounded simple, but very few could actually achieve it. Crossing the Grand Line, enclosed by the Calm Belts, was relatively easier. Marines on warships equipped with Seastone, and some top-tier powerhouses, could achieve it.

The most difficult was crossing the Red Line. Mere strength wasn't enough; one needed special skills, such as climbing or flying.

Taking Carlos's location in the West Blue as an example, the most convenient way for Carlos to go to the East Blue or South Blue was to cross the Red Line. Going to the South Blue was a direct crossing, anywhere along the Red Line would suffice.

Going to the East Blue was more troublesome, requiring a diagonal crossing. One could cross via Reverse Mountain or Marie Geoise. In fact, since Carlos was in the southern part of the West Blue, crossing Reverse Mountain was closer.

He chose the longer route, crossing the Red Line where Marie Geoise was, because Carlos wanted to go to Marineford to witness Golden Lion's rampage at Marine Headquarters and experience the demeanor of this world's top powerhouses!

If Carlos wanted to go to the North Blue, he wouldn't cross the Red Line, but rather the Grand Line enclosed by the Calm Belts, and specifically the Grand Line where the New World was located, not the first half of the Grand Line.

Sailing at full speed, it was strange that they encountered no pirates along the way. They did encounter quite a few merchant ships and passenger ships, indicating remarkably good luck.

Perhaps this situation was normal. After all, the West Blue was vast. In this era of great voyages, the Great Pirate Era, the density of pirates in the Four Seas, the Grand Line, or the New World was not high, so not encountering any wasn't entirely unbelievable.

Once the Great Pirate Era began, upon sailing the seas, the density of pirates would be so high that not encountering pirates would be the anomaly. Pirates would be everywhere, inexhaustible, and even when Luffy sailed, the Marines were still troubled by them.

After a day and a half, they finally reached the base of the Red Line. Carlos and his group stood on the deck, gazing up at the towering, reddish-brown continent with exclamations of awe. Carlos also marveled, thinking how interesting sailing was, allowing him to witness so many fascinating things...

"After I leave, you will temporarily go to the nearest island to rest. Keep a low profile. When I return, I will notify you via Den Den Mushi to pick me up."

"Understood?"

"Yes!" everyone replied respectfully, their eyes full of curiosity as they stared at Carlos, eager to know how he intended to cross the towering Red Line...

Carlos turned to face the Red Line, his eyes transforming into the Mangekyo Sharingan with triangular scythes. This was indeed Uchiha Obito's Mangekyo Sharingan, and a complete version at that, arguably the most overpowered Mangekyo Sharingan!

Kamui!

Visible spatial vortexes suddenly appeared in mid-air. Carlos's body surged with the swirling vortexes, absorbed into them as if he were a boneless paper figure—eerie and cool. In an instant, he vanished!

The Eye of the Devil mimicked the abilities of the Mangekyo Sharingan, but it didn't replicate the side effects, such as blindness. Blindness was impossible; it was impossible in this lifetime...

"It seems so."

"That's truly powerful. With such an ability, isn't the world open for him to traverse?"

"Boss is too amazing. I'll follow Boss for life."

"That's no sincerity at all. Little brother is willing to eat, drink, whore... and die for Boss for generations, yes!"
