| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Conceptual path to transcendence | 130 | Habara identifies Kekkei Mōra as the result of fusing every chakra attribute, including Yin–Yang Release; he instead chooses Stairway to Godhood to repair his bloodline first. |
| Acquisition of elemental foundations | 158 | Habara resolves to gather all chakra natures after witnessing five-nature chakra self-fusion; at this point, he possesses Fire, Earth, Wind, and likely Yin–Yang Release. |
| First dual-nature fusion: Lava Release | 244 | By modifying the Chimera Technique, Habara fuses Fire Release and Earth Release into Lava Release. |
| Failed Ice–Lava fusion | 244 | Habara attempts to combine Ice Release and Lava Release, but their opposing attributes and unequal chakra ratios prevent stable fusion. |
| Five-nature fusion methodology | 251 | Habara discovers that extracting compatible characteristics from chakra and maintaining absolute balance permits Fire and Earth chakra to begin merging; he shifts his goal to linking all five elemental natures before full fusion. |
| Partial five-nature chakra fusion | 253 297 | Habara achieves an initial, unstable fusion that emits a formidable aura. He describes it as approaching completion but not yet a complete five-nature fusion. |
| Ōtsutsuki-state comprehension | 286 | While testing Rinnegan Chakra Mode, Habara transforms into an Ōtsutsuki state and appears to grasp the power of Kekkei Mōra. |
| Defined seven-nature endpoint | 283 297 | Hagoromo explains that five fused natures create a qualitative change, while seven—five elemental natures plus Yin and Yang—are required for true transformation and Kekkei Mōra. |
Background / History
Kekkei Mōra is described as the ultimate form of chakra fusion: the integration of all chakra natures, including Yin Release and Yang Release. Habara considers it a path by which those without inherently overwhelming bloodlines can rise beyond conventional limits. In contrast, a Kekkei Genkai requires two fused natures, while a Kekkei Tōta requires three. 130 184
Habara’s interest intensifies after learning of Hiruko’s Chimera Technique, a forbidden fusion technique capable of merging bodies, summons, and Kekkei Genkai. He seeks to adapt its principles not to steal bloodlines, but to fuse chakra itself. 184 198
After years of experimentation, Habara successfully creates Lava Release from Fire and Earth Release, while retaining Ice Release from Frozen Tomb. His initial plan to merge these two composite releases fails because their attributes oppose one another and their chakra proportions cannot be balanced. 244
He later changes approaches, attempting to establish balance among the five basic elemental natures directly. Through meditation and the modified Chimera Technique, he finds that chakra characteristics can be isolated and merged without either nature dominating the other. 251
Chakra Fusion Hierarchy
| Fusion | Result | Known requirements / examples |
|---|---|---|
| Two chakra natures | Kekkei Genkai | The standard composite release threshold; examples in the text include Ice Release and Lava Release. 130 244 |
| Three chakra natures | Kekkei Tōta | Described as extraordinarily rare; Mū and Ōnoki are identified as known users. 130 |
| Five chakra natures | Qualitative transformation | Hagoromo states that fusion reaches a true qualitative change at five natures; Habara has achieved only partial progress. 283 297 |
| Seven chakra natures | Kekkei Mōra | Requires the five elemental natures together with Yin and Yang Release, representing the ultimate Ōtsutsuki-level power. 283 297 |
Characteristics
- Kekkei Mōra requires extreme balance between its component chakra natures; an excessive proportion of any one attribute causes the resulting fusion to favor that attribute instead. 244 251
- It is distinct from merely combining elemental attacks: the chakra itself must be fused into a new, higher-order power. 130 151
- Full fusion is portrayed as a route toward an Ōtsutsuki-level transformation rather than a conventional bloodline limit. 283 297
- Habara considers it more difficult to achieve than Yin–Yang Release, despite the latter also being extraordinarily complex. 244
- Habara’s incomplete five-nature fusion is already strong enough to alter his aura beyond a level Uchiha Madara can easily confront. 297
Known Applications and Effects
Five Nature Chakra Fusion
Habara’s incomplete fusion of the five elemental natures grants him a dramatic increase in power and produces a terrifying chakra aura. 253 297
- Represents progress toward Kekkei Mōra rather than the completed form. 297
- Remains controllable by Habara, though it is less naturally compliant than natural chakra. 336
- Resonance with other energies can increase its power geometrically and substantially enhance Habara’s eyes. 336
Kekkei Mōra State
During a later fusion state, Habara experiences an extreme enhancement in perception and jutsu control. 287
- Allows him to perceive the principles and “laws” underlying techniques and bloodlines. 287
- Removes the need to consciously manage hand seals, chakra distribution, and related casting processes for previously difficult techniques. 287
- Lasts only five minutes before forcibly ending. 287
- The passage does not establish that this state constitutes Habara’s completed seven-nature Kekkei Mōra. 287 297
Limitations
- Habara has not completed the final fusion of all seven chakra natures. 283 297
- Ice Release and Lava Release proved incompatible as direct components due to opposing attributes and imbalanced chakra ratios. 244
- The partial Yin–Yang Release method obtained through Obito is incomplete and tampered with, requiring further refinement. 244 251
- Meditation greatly assists Habara’s research, but can only be used once per month for twenty-four hours. 245
- Even a powerful fusion state has a strict five-minute duration. 287
Trivia
- Habara initially believed a Kekkei Mōra required seven fused chakra types; Hagoromo later clarifies that five create a qualitative leap, while seven produce the true transformative result. 283
- Habara describes the final goal as a power that could let an ordinary person “become a god,” though he recognizes that such a result cannot be achieved easily. 244
- The fusion path is presented as one of three routes toward becoming a true Ōtsutsuki, alongside receiving Kāma and becoming the Ten-Tails’ jinchūriki. 297
