Background

Wulu was an orphan raised by the Cao Family of Misty Mountain. He later revealed that the family manipulated his memories and used him as a covert agent, leaving him resentful of both his handlers and the forces controlling Yunhuang 675 748.

He first met Yuan Ming as a Furred Beast Slave under Jade Luo Cave. Wulu initially proposed that he, Yuan Ming, and Lage cultivate and hunt together for safety, but Yuan Ming chose to act alone 11. Wulu rapidly mastered the Fur Transformation Technique and adopted the form of a spotted fierce tiger 15 18.

During their early association, Wulu suffered a severe meridian crisis that left him unconscious and bleeding from his facial orifices. Yuan Ming cleared his blocked meridians and administered Wulu's medicine, saving him despite their uncertain relationship 18. Wulu later repaid this debt by warning Yuan Ming of the Green Wolf Gang's planned pursuit after joining the gang as a cover 27.

Appearance

Wulu originally appeared as a human cultivator capable of transforming into a spotted fierce tiger roughly ten feet tall. His transformed body grew substantially as his cultivation improved 15 18.

Following his capture by the Blood Demon Ancestor, his body mutated into a half-demon form 707.

Wulu is calculating, adaptable, and highly capable of concealing his real motives. He endured humiliation as Kuntu's subordinate while waiting for an opportunity to kill him, concealed his cultivation for years, and repeatedly used false identities to infiltrate hostile factions 119 196 342.

Despite his caution, he values debts and friendship. He warned Yuan Ming even when doing so risked his position in the Green Wolf Gang, repeatedly cooperated with him in dangerous situations, and was visibly concerned for Yuan Ming during later crises 27 557 971. His desire for freedom is central to his choices; after rejecting the control of his family, he resolved to live solely under the name “Wulu” 342.

He is also unusually comfortable with danger. While cultivating the Myriad Poisons Evil Art, he admitted that living on the edge of death made him feel alive 944.
