Kitagawa Gen sat in a private room with Naruto and Sasuke, waiting. Naruto, however, could not stop muttering under his breath. He really was hungry.
Clearly, Kakashi, Lord Jiraiya, and the others still had not arrived.
"You'll get used to it. Besides, they have plenty to deal with themselves."
Kitagawa Gen did not think there was any problem. He turned his head and smiled at Sasuke beside him.
"Relax a little. You need a balance between work and rest. Even a 'hardworking genius' needs a break."

Sasuke curled his lip. He had not wanted to come in the first place. He still needed to improve himself, after all. He still had revenge to take!
But he could not withstand Kitagawa Gen simply dragging him over. And for some reason, he always felt there was something very strange about this guy.
Shaking his head, Sasuke stopped thinking about it and instead asked curiously,
"Gen-senpai, I heard you went out on a mission again recently?"
"Yeah."
Kitagawa Gen nodded, and Naruto, off to the side, could not help but cut in.
"This guy was gone for almost two months. I had to water his flowers the whole time. Damn him. But I'm really jealous too. I still haven't even left the village."
"Two months..."
Sasuke went a little dazed. He was not Naruto. He knew very well what going out on a mission for almost two months meant!
Either it was a series of missions, or it was a major mission.
Though Sasuke figured a major mission probably was not too likely, since Kitagawa Gen was still a genin.
But even a series of missions was enough to show how much his supervising ninja valued him!
