It was no wonder Divin thought so. He was clearly trying to hand Darachi over and resolve the entire matter by making Darachi bear all the responsibility, yet the girls refused to accept it and kept such cold expressions. Didn't that mean they intended to keep pressing the issue?...

The reason the girls refused Divin's proposal was simply because they wanted to spare Darachi and bring the whole matter to an end.
Their cold expressions were even easier to understand. Hinagiku, Mikoto, Yekusaya, and Yuzuru all disliked how Divin had failed to protect his own son and had directly abandoned him. Ikaros merely had no emotional fluctuations to begin with and had always been like this.
Poor Divin was overly suspicious and narrow-minded. Believing that the girls were unwilling to let the matter pass, he made a decision that he would regret for the rest of his life.
"If you ladies still don't feel satisfied..." Divin puffed out his chest, wearing an expression of readiness to die.
