Mikoto is already bound to Wu Yan as a summoned character when her System status is first revealed. Unlike Hinagiku, she can see Wu Yan's System interface, though she cannot operate it herself. 32 33

Wu Yan tells her that Academy City created the Misaka Sisters from her DNA and used them in the Absolute Power Project. Devastated by the revelation, Mikoto initially blames herself, but resolves to confront Academy City's reality and gain enough power to save her sisters. 41 42 51
