Background / History

Hinagiku was the Student Council President of Hakuhou Academy. She initially considered Wu Yan arrogant when he claimed he could meet the academy's entrance standard within an hour, but revised that judgment after spending time with him and witnessing his memory. She offered him a place to stay when he was an outsider in her city. 14 24

Her first encounters with supernatural threats frightened her, including a Headless Giant and the monster-filled underground passages. Nevertheless, when Wu Yan prepared to enter the Giant Beast Forest for a dangerous mission, she refused to let him go alone despite only being Level 18. 25 29 33

Hinagiku became one of Wu Yan's summoned characters and began growing through combat. Her early experiences in the Giant Beast Forest were difficult: during her first battle with a Wall Ghoul, fear gave way to a berserk outburst in which she relentlessly destroyed the monster with White Cherry. 34 35 43

After arriving in Academy City separately from Wu Yan's group, Hinagiku became a trainee teacher and Anti-Skill officer. Although registered as a Level 0, she was recognized as Academy City's youngest and most outstanding Anti-Skill member after defeating a Level 4 esper through swordsmanship. 169 170

Manabi O later targeted her with the Remote Brain, using controlled Anti-Skill officers against her. Hinagiku subdued her colleagues without seriously harming them, but Wu Yan's group rescued her before Manabi could take control of her. 171 172
