Time trickled by.
On the continent of the Eastern Kingdoms, the primitive race of humans rose step by step. Lord Thoradin of Stromgarde led his army to sweep away all human tribes, unifying them under Stromgarde, and a vast empire was born.
The Arathor Empire was the first and most powerful empire in human history, flourishing under the reign of Emperor Thoradin.
The Night Elves and High Elves both received this news. The High Elves, because their kingdom of Quel'Thalas was very close to the Arathor Human Empire, and the Sunstrider family received the news immediately.
The Night Elves were a bit slower. Since the departure of that High Elf adventurer last time, Hu Feng had ordered many elite rangers to be dispatched. Carrying Scrolls of Recall (Disposable Hearthstones), they crossed the ocean to the Eastern Kingdoms, scattering throughout to act as eyes and ears.
Upon receiving the news, the elven rangers of the Arathor Empire used the scrolls to teleport back to Darnassus and inform Moon Priestess Tyrande.
It's worth mentioning that at this time, Night Elf internal affairs were entirely handled by Tyrande. Her beloved husband, Archdruid Malfurion, had once again fallen into a deep slumber, off to play in the Emerald Dream. However, with the help of her Highborne advisors, Tyrande, whose handling of internal affairs was still somewhat immature, rapidly grew and gradually became an excellent leader.
Unlike in the original history, with the involvement of the Divine Emissary Hu Feng, the entire race's conduct became somewhat aggressive. They extensively built fortresses and walls to solidify their territory, and dispatched large numbers of rangers and scouts to explore the world, no longer possessing the recluse-like nature of staying within the World Tree until the end of time as in the original history.
Regarding the strong rise of the Arathor Empire, the Night Elves across the ocean, while interested, were only so. The victory in the War of the Ancients, the favor of the God of Magic, and the eternal blessings of the Four Great Dragons gave the Night Elves a sense of superiority. They did not consider the mortal race of humans a threat deep down.
However, an event that occurred later led the Night Elves to decide to intervene: those exiles, their former compatriots who called themselves High Elves, their kingdom of Quel'Thalas was under a full-scale attack by the Amani Trolls.
Although the once vast Troll Empire had long since disintegrated, these splintered troll tribes still possessed considerable strength. The war between the trolls and the High Elves had been ongoing for a long time, and the High Elves were now continuously retreating. Thus, the High Elves began to seek help from the human Arathor Empire.
Emperor Thoradin expressed his willingness to send troops and form an alliance with the High Elves, but with the condition that the High Elves must send a group of mages to discover and teach talented human children, allowing them to become mages as well.
After some consideration, the High Elves agreed. Humans had short lifespans and no prior magical culture; allowing them to accept the power of magic would not pose a significant threat to the elves.
However, they soon learned that their Night Elf compatriots on another continent had somehow received the news and decided to get involved. This greatly surprised the High Elves, who knew their compatriots well. When had they become so meddlesome?
The capital of the Arathor Empire, Stromgarde.
At a grand welcome banquet, one hundred High Elf mages met their former compatriots: also one hundred Highborne mages, to be precise, fifty Highborne and fifty Nightborne.
The High Elves were truly shocked. They had expected the Highborne to gradually decline under the influence of mainstream thought and then turn to the embrace of the Druids. But looking at these fifty Nightborne now, they had clearly been completely transformed by arcane magic, becoming a form of magical symbiosis. This was something they wouldn't even dare to imagine in Quel'Thalas.
However, they soon found the answer. A young man in a black robe, with a large runic disk floating behind him and two burning arcane flames inlaid on his shoulder guards, was conversing happily with Emperor Thoradin. The immensely proud Emperor Thoradin appeared exceptionally respectful at this moment, like a subordinate accompanying an emperor, wearing a fawning smile.
Upon seeing the magnificent artifact staff in the young man's hand, which was two meters long, topped with a massive rune crystal, with four smaller crystals rotating around it, and an Eye of Magic floating above the crystal, emanating an exceptionally vast amount of energy, the High Elves instantly recognized his identity: the Divine Emissary of the God of Magic, Hu Feng!
The High Elves became instantly excited. This individual was the idol of all elves!
During the War of the Ancients, he had first saved Suramar City and later directly confronted the Dark Titan. Unfortunately, they had chosen self-exile, thinking they would never see the Divine Emissary again, but unexpectedly, he appeared here!
Emperor Thoradin was overjoyed, not knowing what to do with himself. He never expected that merely allying with the High Elves would bring out these reclusive Night Elves and the Divine Emissary of the God of Magic! Emperor Thoradin had studied the War of the Ancients thousands of times through various ancient texts and records. Although he was extremely proud, he was self-aware enough to face an emissary of a Titan God.
The atmosphere of the banquet immediately became lively. The Highborne did not dislike the High Elves, their former kin. The Sunstrider family, after all, had been rulers of noble Highborne blood a long time ago. At this meeting, they began conversing in small groups.
Hu Feng, having finished his conversation with Emperor Thoradin at some point, stood up on the high platform and cleared his throat. The guests in the banquet hall immediately fell silent, awaiting Hu Feng's speech.
"I am very happy to see my former compatriots. Since your departure, the God of Magic has always watched over you. Your resilience and current prosperity fill me with immense admiration."
Hu Feng bowed to the crowd below, and the High Elves immediately cheered, some of the more emotional ones even shedding tears. "Therefore, the God saw your plight. Therefore, the God sent down a divine decree. Therefore, I have come, and I, along with the Council of Truth, have crossed the endless sea to help you, fellow believers of the God of Magic."
Hu Feng paused slightly, smiling at the High Elves below, who were now as energized as if they had been injected with stimulants. "Of course, I have also seen the resilient and powerful human race, and their yearning for magic. Therefore, I command here that all elves shall immediately begin the selection of human mages tomorrow. They will then study in the magical sacred city of Suramar. When the time is ripe, we will launch a full-scale attack on those barbaric Amani Trolls, raze their cities, and kill every last one of them!"
At this moment, Hu Feng raised the artifact staff in his hand. The Eye of Magic at the top of the staff emitted a beam of light that shot straight into the sky. The roof of the banquet hall began to crumble, slowly splitting into countless fragments, and then annihilated in a storm of arcane energy.
However, no one paid attention to Hu Feng's destruction of the palace. Everyone was looking up at the sky in a daze, and Emperor Thoradin was utterly stunned.
An incredibly massive floating city, stretching beyond the horizon, was slowly appearing. This city was enveloped in a purple arcane radiance, and countless sharp, towering mage towers within it shone with various lights. The magical holy city of Suramar had directly traversed vast distances, magically teleporting to the skies above Stromgarde.
Streams of energy beams shot from the city towards the ground of the open-air banquet hall. As the energy dissipated, a large group of Highborne appeared in their place. The leading Archmage Elisande smiled charmingly at Hu Feng. Emperor Thoradin was so stunned he couldn't speak, his heart filled with fervor. This was the ancient race, the Night Elves, favored by the gods!
This was the power of magic!
He felt the immense gap between humans and elves, but he quickly calmed himself. Humans would soon possess this power too! The God of Magic would also favor the human race!
However, Hu Feng's body was also trembling slightly. Using himself as a beacon for the teleportation, the magical power required for the colossal Suramar City was an astronomical figure. Even for a Titan Incarnation like Hu Feng, completing this made him feel as if his body had been drained. Such ostentatious displays should be done less often in the future.
Because the world of Azeroth is quite special, the Titans of the Pantheon, before their departure, jointly created a firewall. The more powerful a being is, the more difficult it becomes to descend or teleport to Azeroth, unless that being is willing to shed most of its power and descend in a mortal or extremely weakened state.
For example, the Dark Titan Sargeras, unwilling to shed his power yet determined to descend upon this world, could only gather a group of Azeroth's native inhabitants to build a near-divine portal for him, slowly breaking through or bypassing the firewall to achieve his descent.
But this process was long and fragile, and the victory in the War of the Ancients exploited this point.
Hu Feng's situation was somewhat unique. Due to his long-term, subtle influence on Azeroth, Hu Feng was recognized by the world of Azeroth as an absolute ally, one of their own.
But rules could not be broken, so Hu Feng could only arrive on Azeroth in a mortal avatar. However, having connections made things easier. Azeroth had opened a backdoor for Hu Feng, allowing him to constantly connect with the Titan Core gestating within the planet of Xe'ra. This way, Hu Feng essentially had an infinitely capacious channel that constantly and rapidly restored his avatar's spirit, mana, and even life force. If Hu Feng were to die unfortunately, his divine consciousness contained within this mortal avatar would automatically return to the Titan Core. Of course, it would take a great deal of effort to re-condense such a perfect mortal body.
The banquet continued. The seemingly vanished roof appeared more atmospheric to everyone's eyes, but most people occasionally looked up at the magically floating city, marveling at the brilliance of the arcane.
A large group of High Elves surrounded Elisande, chattering incessantly. Elisande had been the chief Archmage of Suramar City before the War of the Ancients. This genius girl discovered by the Sunstrider family had managed the Highborne stronghold of Suramar since Dath'Remar Sunstrider took up his post in the capital, Eldarath, until Hu Feng's arrival.
However, the topic at hand was unrelated to politics or magic. The High Elves were more gossipy, focusing on the "affair" between the Divine Emissary and Elisande, and the mysterious Titan Divine Kingdom.
Under Elisande's description, a heavenly magical divine kingdom took shape in the minds of the High Elves. While they were filled with excitement, they were also filled with regret. They would not be able to go to the Divine Kingdom of the God of Magic after their deaths because they had not received the God's blessing, and the source of their power was the Sunwell, not the Netherweave Circuit that directly connected to the Divine Kingdom of the God of Magic.
