Background / History

Vegapunk rescued Hancock and her sisters from the Celestial Dragons. Initially, Hancock distrusted him because of his connection to the World Government and because her time as a slave had left her unable to trust anyone associated with the Celestial Dragons. Her loyalty changed after Vegapunk created a Celestial Dragon clone, secretly exchanged it for an actual Celestial Dragon, and handed the captive over to the sisters. He repeated similar operations twice before the risk became too great. 2

Vegapunk's biological modifications amplified Hancock's already exceptional natural talent. She subsequently remained at his side as his personal bodyguard rather than returning to rule Amazon Lily, allowing her sisters Marygold and Sandersonia to govern the island instead. 2 21 160

In the Ninja World, Hancock awakened chakra and rapidly surpassed the setting's conventional combat ceiling through further modifications, Kaguya-derived chakra, and the Great Tenseigan's power.
