Qin Zhao is the legitimate and sole disciple of the Star Abyss Enlightenment Hermit, as well as Qian Yuan Temple’s Deputy Master. He initially comes to the Imperial Capital to retrieve the Dragon Breath Jade Plate and return a glass bead to Jin Muyao, hoping to settle his worldly attachments before returning to secluded cultivation 980.

His arrival immediately brings him into conflict with Shen Wuxiao. After provoking Shen, Qin Zhao is comprehensively defeated despite deploying the Five Elements Banner and the Earth Binding Eight Trigrams Array. Shen later crushes Qin Zhao’s glass bead, severing its emotional connection to Jin Muyao and dealing a severe blow to Qin Zhao’s pride 981 982.

Dragon Breath Jade Plate Auction

Acting for the Yellow Robe Holy Lord, Qin Zhao confronts Su Ziming and learns that Shen Wuxiao possesses the plate. With Luo Xuancheng’s assistance, he enters the auction and outbids Shen Wuxiao with a final offer of 240 billion, borrowing 30 billion from Luo to do so 996 1002 1008.

The apparent victory proves hollow: the plate is fake, the auction house burns down, and the object explodes when Qin Zhao attempts to activate it 1009 1010.

Alliance with Xiao Yifeng
