When Nita Goichi saw the towering stone gate of the dungeon, he could no longer contain his excitement and rushed forward happily.
"The Elite Committee will eventually rule the Inner World!"
However, before he could even touch the stone on the dungeon gate, a voice leisurely drifted over from the side:
"Who allowed you to enter the dungeon first?"
Everyone's hair stood on end.
Looking to the side, they saw a handsome young man holding a Tachi, standing there with a smile as warm as a spring breeze, looking at their group of uninvited guests.
In the sunlight, the Tachi gleamed with a cold light, but the smile held no warmth at all, instead sending a shiver down their spines.
No one had ever seen him, but everyone knew how formidable he was.
It was Tsukikawa Shu, the one who dared to post "Widely Recruiting Virtuous Wives" on the public forum!
"Damn it, I was so focused on opening the dungeon that I forgot about this great Demon Lord..."
All the bodyguard players broke out in a cold sweat.
(Fourth update! This is the second update for the three thousand recommendation votes, please give me some tips and votes!)
{{{(>_<)}}}
This is probably the worst performing book I've ever written in my four years of writing.
Due to illness and being busy with other matters, I haven't written novels properly for half a year. When I first started writing, I had no inspiration at all, my mind was completely blank. I abandoned three books, each of which I had conceived for over a week, but I couldn't get past twenty thousand characters before cutting them. During this time, I've been filled with disappointment and confusion, and I've constantly doubted if I'm even suited to write novels.
When writing this book, I also considered abandoning it many times, and thought about just writing it carelessly. That's exactly what happened, which is why people have been criticizing the book's review section.
But in reality, I'm quite numb to it, because I predict that this book will only have about three thousand collections when it goes on sale, and the average subscription will be around three to four hundred. It's definitely a flop among flops, and I really want to just give up.
But there have always been a few readers who have supported me from the beginning, and I am very grateful to these readers. Especially one reader, who gave me thirty "blade" rewards at once. I was very touched at the time, and I myself thought that this book didn't deserve so many rewards.
It's your continuous reading and support that has allowed me to write this book until it went on sale.
Although the performance of this book is still quite bad, and the daily votes are far from comparable to other books, I still want to give it a try. At least let's see how it goes after it goes on sale, maybe I can even get a thousand average subscriptions?
If not, getting the full attendance bonus would be good. At least I can get the full attendance bonus, which can be a bit of a living subsidy and I won't have to live such a hard life.
After writing for so long, this is the first time I've felt so humble. A four-year veteran author has fallen to the point of needing to rely on the full attendance bonus for a living. I can't help but recall when I first entered the web novel field. At that time, I really just wanted to get the full attendance bonus.
Since it's going on sale, I'll also start a bounty:
One chapter for every 100 monthly votes, one more chapter for every 5000 cat coins in rewards, one more chapter for every 50 "blades" in rewards, and 40 more chapters for a golden treasure chest reward (which is unlikely to happen). This offer is valid until the end of this month, and the bonus chapters will be delivered within a week.
Thank you all for your continued companionship and your votes.
I also thank the following 26 readers for their rewards and support:
dfreewa, Subaru-san, This King, Honest and Clean, Miss Shi Zhi Wants to Fall in Love, Gu La Ha Ti Ya, Summer Lemon, Cloud Chess Water Mirror, Yato-gami Shikika, Do You Want to Buy Offal?, Hatsune Miku, Yue Li, Ah Long, zx17, Shuke35787970253, Suicide Squad Piggy Hero, Super World-Class Hope, Shuke6322382022, Sai Yige Ya, Xu 5, Lord of Tongyou.
Thank you for your support. I will update tomorrow afternoon at 2 PM. See you tomorrow!
Nita Goichi finally reacted and instantly broke out in a cold sweat. Facing the cold glint of the blade, he was so scared that he sat down on the ground, trembling all over.
His bold declaration of establishing order in the Inner World was instantly dispelled.
"Um... Lord Tsukikawa, we didn't mean to offend you..."
Kyuutake Itsuki, who had always been tough within the team, instantly deflated and quickly said.
However, he immediately regretted being so clumsy with his words, unable to say anything good.
So, he fixed his gaze on a boy from Shuchiin Academy behind him and pulled him forward, "You! Explain our current situation to Lord Tsukikawa."
"Huh? Me..." The other person stammered in fear.
However, under Kyuutake Itsuki's fierce gaze, he could only nervously step forward:
"Lord Tsukikawa, I am very sorry... We didn't know you were here, and we meant no offense. We just wanted to challenge a dungeon, we have no ill intentions..."
He desperately searched for polite words, and finally managed to explain the situation clearly.
At this stage of the game, all players were afraid of Tsukikawa Shu's strength.
Their highest level was only 20, while Tsukikawa Shu had already reached level 35 during the last Inner World event, and no one knew his current level.
This was the guy who was the first to challenge a dungeon and had earned countless medals.
Tsukikawa Shu remained calm, gripping the hilt of his Tachi, and surveyed the more than twenty people who had arrived dusty and windblown that day.
From their equipment, it was clear that only about ten of them could be considered true high-level players, while the others were students who couldn't even lift a chicken, possibly only level 1.
This was why these bodyguard players couldn't leave money and power behind, otherwise, why would they spend so much time and effort protecting so many people?
At first glance, he saw a few familiar figures in the crowd, including Fujiwara Chika.
Her face showed no signs of worry, and she even looked towards him boldly and curiously.
Her mental state seemed quite good?
Could this girl remain an optimist even in the Inner World? Tsukikawa Shu was somewhat surprised by this.
Then, there was the boy who was so scared he had collapsed.
Tsukikawa Shu glanced at him and noticed that his pants were already soaked.
"Don't, don't kill me..."
Seeing Tsukikawa Shu look over, Nita Goichi's courage almost shattered.
He had spoken with Fujiwara Chika before and had some understanding of this so-called Elite Committee. The leader was a small, chubby guy named Nita Goichi, so this must be him.
A rather arrogant young master, but Tsukikawa Shu had no interest in him.
Although Fujiwara Chika disliked the guy, she wasn't his wife. He had no quarrel with this fellow, so he couldn't be bothered to play the role of a righteous protector.
Any effort made by a woman who refused to become his wife was just raising her for someone else.
As for the Elite Committee, the DOLLARS organization, and all the others, they each had their own rules, but in reality, it was all bullshit. Tsukikawa Shu couldn't be bothered to manage these organizations. Besides, time was pressing, and he didn't want to deal with these small fry.
-- As long as they didn't provoke him.
"I'll go first, then it'll be your turn." Tsukikawa Shu said indifferently.
With that, Tsukikawa Shu walked straight to the stone gate of the dungeon.
Goto Hitori and Hiratsuka Shizuka, who followed behind, also stood behind Tsukikawa Shu, merely glancing indifferently at the members of the so-called Elite Committee.
"Let's go."
Tsukikawa Shu, with one on his left and one on his right, held the hands of his two wives.
"Let's go," Hiratsuka Shizuka smiled.
Goto Hitori also nodded. However, being held by Tsukikawa Shu in front of so many people today made her feel a bit shy, and her face turned red.
The three of them walked into the vortex between the stone gates together, entering the dungeon.
The danger was gone, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
"I couldn't get any data on the weapons held by those two women just now!"
A player hiding behind the crowd took off the monocle he was wearing, completely shocked.
"What's going on? Explain it to me clearly!" Miyamoto Daichoku frowned, grabbing the player by his collar.
"My item is called 'Insight Eye,' a Rare Grade item that can identify items of Rare Grade and below, as well as their uses and stats."
The other party looked very nervous. "Those two women, the guitars they were carrying, and the brass knuckles, I couldn't get any data on them at all."
"This means that both of their equipment must be at least Epic Grade!"
"Epic Grade equipment?" The crowd's understanding was truly refreshed.
"No wonder that Tsukikawa Shu dared to use Rare Grade items and weapons to 'Widely Recruit Virtuous Wives.' It turns out they've all switched to Epic Grade equipment?"
The crowd, having reached this conclusion, immediately fell into a sense of unrealistic disappointment.
Most people present could only wield Fine Grade weapons and treasured them like gold, yet the weapons used by others were already two tiers higher than theirs.
As for the Level 1 Shuchiin Academy students, they exchanged bewildered glances, unable to grasp the magnitude of the difference. They were completely clueless.
"Damn it, this guy's luck is really incredible," Kyuutake Itsuki spat.
He was extremely envious of the other party, surrounded by resources and beautiful women. Who wouldn't be envious and jealous?
Once certain that Tsukikawa Shu and his group had entered the dungeon and there was no movement, Nita Goichi, with trembling legs, quickly left the stone gate of the dungeon to rejoin the crowd.
"Guys like him are naturally at odds with us, but it doesn't matter. He can only be ahead for now. Our financial resources and connections are enough for us to gain a late-mover advantage," Nita Goichi muttered.
As for Fujiwara Chika, she was stunned and momentarily lost in thought.
"He only married two women???! He really only contracted two, right?"
She couldn't help but say it out loud.
The surrounding Shuchiin Academy students cast surprised glances, not understanding why Fujiwara Chika was interested in such a matter.
"He's someone who dared to publicly declare 'Widely Recruiting Virtuous Wives,' so marrying two is quite normal, isn't it?" Tanuma Tsubasa said.
"That's true. After all, no one in this Inner World can restrain him," Tomioki Nagisa nodded beside him.
Fujiwara Chika remained in a state of surprise.
If Tsukikawa Shu were truly just a lustful beast, he should have had a harem of three thousand by now. With his strength and resources, how many women would be willing to throw themselves at him?
But he really only had two by his side, and one of them was Goto Hitori, whom she had known for a long time – that plain and seemingly foolish girl.
In their original world, playing with two women at once would undoubtedly make him a scumbag.
But the problem was, this was the Inner World with no restraints!
This was clearly a pure-hearted warrior who was deeply devoted!
(Requesting first-day subscriptions! Please, please!)
Naturally, others were unaware of what Fujiwara Chika was thinking. From the values they had been taught since birth, Tsukikawa Shu's behavior was against common sense and should be criticized.
Of course, everyone only spoke about it verbally; no one dared to offend this great Demon Lord.
"So, what should we do now?" someone asked.
The entire team fell silent.
Everyone felt as if they had been doused with cold water. The excitement they had felt when opening the dungeon had completely vanished.
The original plan was all set: spend ten hours clearing the dungeon, then use the remaining time to rest or explore the map and hunt other monsters to gain some extra experience.
However, everyone was blinded by the immense profit that was about to come. Coupled with the fact that Tsukikawa Shu's popularity had recently dropped significantly, everyone had overlooked his presence for a moment.
Thinking about it now, it made sense. With such high dungeon profits, Tsukikawa Shu must be lurking nearby!
"What else can we do? Just wait!"
Kyuutake Itsuki slumped like a deflated balloon, smashing his cleaver onto the ground and sitting down.
Don't let the fact that they had ten capable players fool you. They were currently one of the top-tier forces in the Inner World, but compared to Tsukikawa Shu, everyone else was a weakling.
Kyuutake Itsuki and Miyamoto Daichoku were T1, while the others were T2. Tsukikawa Shu, on the other hand, was in a league of his own – T0!
"Why don't we take a stroll around the area while we wait and farm some experience points?"
Someone else suggested.
Most of the players agreed with this idea. They were idle anyway, and time was extremely precious right now. Wasting even a little bit of time would weaken their strength, potentially turning them into someone else's experience pack.
All the players immediately set off, afraid that their experience points would be snatched by others.
